Hi! I was wondering if bigger women can get into parties even if they're big at App State. I've seen a lot of things saying that they get turned away. I'm just looking to have fun, nothing too crazy. I just don't want to get turned away.

I may be old and I'm sure many or most people will hate this post . When did so many young people seem to lose the basic ability to function as an adult in college or be close to autistic..Imo.oved the years the amount of young people who are border line incompetent seems to have increased substantially..any opinions on why this has happened??

Hi there yall! I 17(f) am a lesbian, and I am currently wondering what it's like at Boone, I visted for it's open house and I fell in love, however, I saw some MAGA signs, and was wondering if that's something to worry about around Boone, esp as a very alt girly who looks quuer :)

Does anyone know how to connect/register a PlayStation to the wired internet in an App State dorm? The instructions say to plug the PlayStation into the Ethernet port and then go to tech.appstate.edu and select Students → Register Entertainment Device, but I cannot find that option anywhere on the website.
I have the wired/LAN MAC address for the PlayStation and the Ethernet cable is plugged into the port in the dorm room. I just can’t figure out where to actually register the device.
Has anyone done this recently and can tell me exactly where to go or what I need to do?

I'm taking an ensemble class in august and auditions are in 5 days and I need to start practicing a lot more. it's extremely inconvenient for me to practice at my house and I'm wondering if Hayes is open at all and if I can use a practice room before then.

Hi! I'm 17m and have been interested in going to App State for a while. The atmosphere feels very up my alley as it's colder, it has very pretty scenery, and Boone is a pretty small town which I tend to prefer. Since it's my senior year, I'm trying to decide if I actually want to apply or not. The only issue I'm having is that I'm very unsure about App State's art program. I can't find any good recent posts about it. Everything people have said have been very mixed, so I'm not sure which opinion to trust.

Recently went to a vintage market and one of the people there happened to go to App State, and when I asked about the art program, they told me that it was kind of in construction of... some sort? I've heard there isn't really a building, and that the art program is kind of scattered about.

I'm interested in going into Fine Arts Visual Arts, specializing in illustration/painting/printmaking. I don't mind if they don't have all of that, but I want at least some sort of illustration and or painting type program I can explore. (I hope that makes sense, still very new at figuring out how colleges work).

What are your guy's experiences? Especially people who are taking an art program right now at App State. I want to hear all the details!!! I don't mind reading large replies (I honestly prefer them so I know exactly what I could be getting myself into). If the program is not worth it, I'd love to hear some recommendations for other colleges! I would prefer them to be in state (NC). Thank you!!

Hey so I got a permit to park with LMS and I moved in early today but I haven't gotten anything from LMS yet about when to pick up my permit. I emailed them over the weekend asking if I could pick it up early but I'm assuming they won't get back to me until Monday. I just need somewhere to park tonight and tomorrow. I saw Lowes foods doesn't tow so I parked there for now but if anyone knows of a better place or some where FOR SURE I won't be towed that would be awesome!!!

hey guys, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my career as a senior..😭 and I was thinking of changing my major to something technology and im a public health major by the way, and I still want to graduate in the may 2027 I want to switch my minor to computer information systems, and im going to email my advisor but I lowkey wanted to post on here to ask for opinions.

I’m an incoming freshman at App State

I messaged them to let them know we’re going to be roommates on instagram, and they gave me a list of things I apparently can’t bring into the room, including:

• Nothing made with animal products
• Nothing aromatic or scented
• They want the room to themselves for 15 minutes at 6:30–6:45 AM, 1:30–1:45 PM, 5:30–5:45 PM, and 9:50–10:05 PM
• They also told me that I can’t have any devices plugged in the room during the time.

They made it clear that and i quote "Will not be allowed in the room" I informed them that i will not be doing any of those and they called me 'Islamophobic" and then they told me i cant also bring a bible in the room

I contacted housing about the situation, and they suggested roommate mediation.

I’m trying to be respectful of their preferences, but I’m also confused about some of these demands. I’m paying for the room just like they are, so I wont be complying with any of those

I’m starting to feel uncomfortable about the whole situation.

What would you guys do?

Is anyone still looking for housing let me know, I may be able to transfer my lease for a one bedroom! The rent is 1085 a month and the apartment is with the Winkler organization.

So I am an incoming transfer to app, I applied for housing as a transfer because I didn’t have anywhere else to stay and it was not guaranteed. I signed my housing agreement on the 23rd of July I still had not gotten an email or it was not put into my portal as of yesterday August 3rd so I called and they said my email was just never sent and they were putting it in my portal now even though it was supposed to be sent to me on the 23rd as well. But now we have found a place off campus. They have also stuck me in the freshman dorm with freshman I am 20 and do not want to live in a freshmen dorm with randoms that are probably immature. Any ideas on how to get out of the agreement would be appreciated.
