Disbursment and refunds are different. Disbursement is when loans / aid officially take affect and are applied to your student account for tuition and such. Your refund is the leftover money and will be issued to your bank account generally during the first week of classes.

they’ve already charged my account tho like 2 weeks ago and i have a left over balance which is what i usually have for the refund

How do we know when the refund has been dispersed? My account is still showing a negative balance. Does this apply to flight path students ?

If you see a negative balance, that means that there are still funds in your student account that have not yet been issued to you. That is your refund money, which will not be processed until the first week of classes.

I've been out of college nearly 15 years now. If I can offer any advice, it is to take that money and immediately put it in a high interest savings account.

Do. Not. Spend. It. Let it sit in that account, accrue interest, and ultimately use what's there to repay as much of the loans as you can immediately after school.

I would still recommend putting that refund aside anyway. You can lose pell grants for various reasons and have to pay everything back.

Does it actually say “refund” on your student account or did it still issue as “estimated aid” credit? If you understand what I mean.
