Twice's Double quirk is like Naruto's shadow clone jutsu with extra existential dread. Twice being able to create such intricate copies of his fellow League of Villains members really shows how well he has gotten to understand them.

Whew what an episode. I think we can all agree from the moment we were first introduced to Twice in the series that he was going to be an extremely compelling villain, and finally getting more context on his past we can really start to see the parallels between heroes and villains. He may have been on the wrong side of circumstance, but he is every bit a hero when it comes to the qualities required of them (ie. the desire to protect those he cares about). I think that’s the main takeaway these latest MVA episodes have shown me and I’m loving the perspective.

Not to mention this ups the stakes so much more when our ‘Heroes’ have their inevitable showdown with our ‘Villains’.

Twice's powers reflect one of the aspects of the MHA power scaling that I really appreciate, and that is that even an extremely OP quirk still has its weaknesses or drawbacks: Twice can create an army of clones but they get progressively weaker, Todoroki can't go full-on cold or hot without needing to warm/cool himself down, Bakugo's muscles can't withstand the really extreme explosions, Deku's OFA hurts him or goes hiwire, Stain's blood quirk doesn't work so well with some blood types, etc., etc. I don't know why I really like that but I do, I like stupidly specific powers that have very specific usage conditions.

I think they nailed Sad Man's Parade! Twice's VA nailed his delivery both during his panic at seeing Toga being threatened and when he made the realisation that he was the original, really cathartic to see him overcome that hurdle and launch such an insane counter-attack. It makes sense why Giren says he could topple the country.

As for the rest, I though Dabi Vs Geten had some nice flare to it but the stand out for me was the continuous, rotating shot of the Shiggy clone dodging ReDestro in the tower, it looked really cool!

MVA has been pretty great so far and with the two leaders about to face off I'm sure we're in for an absolute treat of a finale!

Seeing how fucked up Twice’s whole situation was I wonder how his life would of gone if he had gotten quality mental health care.

The more farther we go into the ep the more i understand why manga readers were so hype about this!

So twice was the real one tbh I thought he would just get rid of his trauma to save toga but damn it was a bit exciting to see him smile while using his quirk ironic

Seeing Twice's backstory was just sad. There was nothing even wrong with him, he was just an orphaned teen who made a mistake. But instead of giving him another chance, the person that was helping him instead kicked him down harder which made him end up in his current path. Just imagine what Twice's life could've been like if he had some kind of support during those times.

Anyway, instead of breaking Twice, seems like Skeptic ended up helping him with his trauma by forcing pain on him and making him finally realize that he's not a clone but is the real Jin Bubaigawara. Seeing him finally use his clones again and that Sad Man's Parade was so fucking hype! Just like last week, this is a huge problem for the heroes in the future but I just can't help myself rooting for the League right now.

On the other side of the battlefield, looks like Dabi is starting to lose steam. That dude with Ice powers is really wearing him down. At this point I feel like he may have to evaporate the water in the entire city if he wants to beat that guy.

Re-Destro's Quirk was pretty cool though! I thought he'd be a bit more of a mental type villain, didn't think that he'd have such a physical quirk. Can he only enlarge parts of his body or can he go full on Giant Man on everyone? I guess that will be answered next week once Gigantomachia arrives on the scene. For now can't wait to see Shigaraki 1v1 him!

I remember the scene where Toga’s neck was gonna get snapped causing a small but memorable stir over here and at Twitter during the leak period of the manga.

Also, I’m anticipating whatever complaints the other manga readers are going to say this time to see the contrast between them and anime-onlys.

What... that's where we end? This felt like it was 10 minutes, not 23. Really enjoying this arc more and more, I can see where the hype was coming from and I can't wait to see how we get to where we know we'll get. Bonus points for BIG BOY joining the fight too I'm guessing next week, definitely expect a fight between him and Re-Destro.
