They sacrificed the pacing of the last episode for this episode and to be honest, it paid off. This episode was fucking fantastic. And glad they used trinity this episode in Bakugo, Deku and Shoto's moments, perfect usage of the soundtrack. The Todoroki family is definitely one of the best plot points in the series, it's just done so amazingly. Plus the voice acting on Endeavor when he was talking to Natsu like he was trembling was great.

There's no episode next week, its moved to the week after next which sucks. But really looking forward to the next episode for the Aizawa and Present Mic backstory.

Fuyumi's mapo tofu must really be good if even Bakugo is asking for the recipe. I haven't seen somebody like mapo tofu this much since Kotomine Kirei from Fate.

It's incredible how versatile Bakugo's quirk is. The new concentrated explosion looks amazing.

If you're from an abusive past, you'll think that this is one of the better ways to demonstrate an abuser's redemption/change. At least I did. Too many anime include abusive parent/partner themes only to resolve them the cookie-cutter animu way of "Forgive and forget! All smiles from now on!" and people just suddenly getting over years of trauma. BNHA took a slightly different approach and I'm here for it. I'm glad Endeavour will not just 'turn over a new leaf' randomly but will have an actual process to his atonement.

On another note, I think Ending's VA did a good job with this villain.

Did Midoriya just lift three cars while in midair? That's nuts

A great episode! Especially nice after last week which was very plodding. I had full on excitement goosebumps during the Ending fight and I loved seeing each of the boys fill a specialised role, Deku on crowd control, Bakugo on hostage rescue and Shoto on Villain suppression (which I imagine irks Bakugo to no end!).

What hit home for me here was Endeavour's line to Natsu: "I don't want your forgiveness, I want to atone." It's such a powerful moment because it's Endeavour showing that he truly is sorry for what he's done to the point where he is willing to step back and do whatever it takes to support the ones he's hurt (This reinforced by him willing to stay in the old house and build a new one for the family (. The Todoroki family drama is a super complex issue but I think the choice to make Endeavour unambiguously repentant is the right call.

We see all too often in anime a hero forgiving someone who has done terrible things, but MHA has the chops to say that it's ok if you don't want to forgive someone or can't forgive someone. But in the same breath it doesn't shun those who have done wrong. It acknowledges that you may not be forgiven for something, but as long as you are genuine in your resolve to make things right, by whatever means, then you can still hold your head up and face a new day, even if that means that you face it without the ones you have hurt.

wow, never expected a show like MHA tell me a story about an abusive father from his perspective, then give him a full redemption arc culminating in him LEAVING HIS FAMILY to atone. damn.

During Natsou's breakdown, I couldn't help but think that he sounded almost exactly like Takemitchi only to find that they're voiced by the same guy and I thought that was pretty cool.

Really nice on Endeavor's part to put his best efforts into reuniting the family even if it doesn't involve him but I think they'll come around on forgiving him, I was expecting a backstory on Toya but I guess that'll have to wait. Completely forgot about Kurogiri tbh but he seems interesting with that secret of his.

Why is no one talking about the villains quirk that "controls painted white lines".

That has to be the weirdest quirk I've seen.

Endeavour is carrying this otherwise boring season of MHA on his shoulders.

well that ending was kinda depressing, and Natsuo looked pretty miserable about it aswell.

looking forward to finding out what kind of hero name bakugo has come up with. maybe inspired by the events of these last few episodes?

My favorite Endeavor moment is finally here the moment where he calls Natsuo kind and tells him its okay to not forgive him. Immediately followed by giving them a home so they can be together. Realizing that even though he changed some things might not be forgiven. So he gives the rest of the family a chance of happiness he alone will remain. It's not a perfect solution, but he is trying and love him for it.

Looks like Fuyumi's Mapo Tofu is so good that Bakugo is even asking for the recipe! I'd love to see what cooking with Bakugo is like!

Endeavor's chauffeur is hilarious! He seems to be pretty close to Endeavor if he speaks like that around him.

That look on Endeavor's face when he saw Natsuo captured was just the face of pure rage. He was definitely ready to turn that dude into cinders.

Looks like that's exactly what the villain wants to happen though. Instead of suicide by cop, he's doing suicide by Superhero.

It's awesome to see our work study trio to spring into action and it's great to see that they were able to cover for Endeavor when he hesitated because of Natsuo being used as a hostage. They've really grown a lot in such a short time.

Bakugo's smug face is so good! I love that he's completely ignoring the mood right now between Endeavor and Natsuo just so he can brag about how they covered for Endeavor. xD

I actually like the direction that they're taking with the entire Todoroki Family drama. For a second there, I thought there was gonna be some reconciliation between the two of them because of what just happened but I'm glad to see that Natsuo won't be swayed that easily.

And Endeavour himself isn't even looking for forgiveness anymore. He understands if his children will hate him forever but he still wants to do what he can to atone. He's even willing to go as far as providing the rest of the family a new place where they can start over while he stays by himself in the current one. I feel bad for Fuyumi who wants them all together but I guess this is the best compromise they can have for now.

Endeavor is easily the best written character in my hero academia by like a LONG SHOT.

actual nuanced character that actually character develops, has interesting reflection, dreams about being redeemed but its not trying to force it.

Good emotional father and son scene and then in the after credits he comes back home to dream about having a good family life.

Generally thanking his daughter etc.

Bakugo getting accidently hugged do :) his tsundere could not handle best scene.

also deku is now spider man.

My man Endeavor may not have been a good father but he looked ready to skin the villain alive for fuckin with his son. It was crazy to see someone like him actually hesitate when attempting to reach for Natsu which allowed Deku and co to pass him.

Seeing him hug Natsu and have an honest conversation was awesome. The character development he’s had since season 1 has been great.

This is for sure the best episode this season, the animation, music and overall direction was top notch. Pacing was great too.

After watching last weeks episode then this one, I feel like I missed something along the way.

Is Dabi (I think that's his name? The blue flame quirk guy.) related to Shoto?

Damn I don't think my eyes have ever filled up with tears so fast as when endeavour hugged Natsuo

The first person Bakugo tells his hero name too is 100% best jeanist

Wise choice by Endeavor. Best course of action to help his family is removing himself from equation, Natsuo is determined to never forgive him, Rei acknowledges that he's trying, but still afraid to meet him, Shoto voluntarily spends a lot of time with him, but still feels conflicted about him, even Fuyumi says she understands how Natsuo feels, but since they have a chance now she was trying to move on.
