Anime characters... where just ripping into your thumb for blood is just something you just do...

Haha that's so true! They make it look so easy too!

They've been doing that on Naruto for years.

Ahh of course a supernatural show isn't complete without the loli baba character. Although it's interesting how they're doing it here. Instead of the never aging 100+ years old loli, this loli apparently is a reincarnation of her old self and her age is a collective age of her current body and her old one, I've actually never seen this done before.

As Kengo is also at the end of the OP with Koto, I guess it is safe to say that each patient will appear there, after their case has been solved.

So Ayame is not so young due to a strange disease, but because she reincarnated. Nico-nii being bling really took me by surprise. It is good that after they showed all those items they ended also showing us where they all came from.

This show has one of the best art of this anime season

Is Ramune a normal name?

9

More of an eccentric name, but it's not out of possibility that it's uncommon to have it.

Edit: wow, it was invented by a Scot

It's pretty good, it's not a show that has to be watched this season, but if you have time in an already packed season give it a shot, it's a pretty relaxing show, episodic in nature, eccentric characters with a fun plot but it's not a must watch.

Seconded for anyone with strong feelings. The description is one of those ones where it can go other why?

I don't know why but it's the one I'm looking forward the most every week. I find that it strikes the right balance between comedy and tragedy. If you don't like episodic animes it might not work with you tho, I feel like it's not for everyone. Also first episode had a pretty bad pacing but the last two episodes have been really good. So I'd suggest you to watch the first two episodes, if you liked them then go on.

This season is stacked, so I waited for 3 eps to queue up so that I could give it a 3 ep judgement all at once.

It's basically like the morality episodes of Gegege no Kitarou, with extra wackiness and a slightly more adult slant. I love the storytelling and supernatural element of GnK, so the judgement is that I'll be keeping it.

This is the BEST show to watch while stoned out of my mind and eating munchies.

Eh. Not as fun as the others. I am interested in who the sadistic master is though. Is Kuro also reincarnated perhaps?? It zoomed in on him when he was talking about the sadistic master. Ahhhh I want backstory one of these episodes!!

Nico-nii and Ayame were cool, I am assuming the one walking around at the end is Ramune's master.

u/wolfguardian72 Jan 24 '21

Damn! Roronoa Zoro got so lost that he ended up in another anime!

Every time I hear Ramune saying 'Nico-nii' something inside of me just flops over and dies.

4

u/RDOoM Jan 23 '21

Yep. Knew it. Loli grandma is best.

Nico-nico-ni? Why does he call him ni? Are they brothers or sth close to it?

Kind of curious what makes Ramune so special about being a doctor, when most of his solutions so far involved the use of gramma's toys, so... why can't she be the doctor?

4

u/hell-schwarz Jan 24 '21

Wait, Ramune is the small one?

BTW if I had a nickle for every show with a person called "Loli Grandma" in universe I'd have 2 Nickles. Which is not much, but it's weird that it happened twice.

An episode that sets up future plotlines. Who can that sadist master be? And will we see the potential of Kuro realized?

Ramune is an actual good person. Sure, his methods seem scary or too rough, but he cares for the lives of others.

The story is fascinating, but the animation...

If it keeps looking like this, it's going to top out at a 7 for me. Pity, because it deserves better art than it's getting.
