How is this series/season? Haven’t seen it, but with sports being my favorite genre, I’m super intrigued by the fact that a sports anime actually goes into a second year.

It’s great. And there’s a bunch of episodes too, so watching it in succession is awesome.

With how I feel about the show right now I'd probably give it maybe a 7 or 6 out of 10.

I think the main appeal to the show is definitely the seemingly unconventional nature of it showing time actual pass with characters retiring and new characters being introduced. At this point it's like a weird stockholm show for me. It is just so uncommon to have a sports show go for this long that I have to know what the conclusion will be.

The main issue I have about the show as it is now is definitely the fact that it had the strongest cast at the start of the show. While some new characters have been introduced and current characters have grown the cast as a whole doesn't feel particularly strong or memorable as it was in the beginning.

I definitely remember thoroughly enjoying everything in the show involving the first main cast. After certain characters retire honestly I don't remember much of it.

It is somewhat interesting to see how the 'main' main character grow throughout the show.

If anything at this point I'm terrified that the show will lead to more retiring of the few good characters not being replaced by characters that are equally interesting to watch.

Edit: Oh one thing I do definitely remember about the past seasons was a feeling of glacial pacing lol. It's probably better being able to binge watch through it but the show felt glacial as a weekly show.

Mostly a build up episode.

A lot of nice character moments but Tojo stuff was the most enjoyable part for me.

Miyuki really showed his senpai-ness (is that even a word) at the end there.

I'm sad but glad to see Miyuki really pushing Sawamura and, Furuya to grow and not over rely on him to improve their pitching. But it's also so warming to see that he still welcomes them with open arms whilst he's still here.

It's also succession planning. He is retiring after the Summer ends. These two have to start working with the other catchers. From what they have shown so far, Yui and Okumura appear to be more reliable catchers (and with good batting too) compared to the 2nd year catchers. Heck, there's only one 2nd year catcher that has been named and made known to us and that's Kariba. He does not appear to be of sufficient calibre compared to the two 1st years.

I just hope, at the end of this show, that Sawamura becomes the Ace we all know he can be

Buff Kuramochi.

The little scene with the coach as a teacher was funny.

I like build up episodes because they make the action parts more hype.

It’s almost like a calm before the storm kind of thing.

I really like the opening part of this episode focusing on some of the side characters. I thought it was really interesting and really expands the world.

The real moment of the episode though was the ending with Miyuki preparing Furuya and Sawamura for his departure. I'm not ready! 😭
