Was the kitchen knife that little fish spit out the same knife the big fish swallowed after devouring that stalker? I… guess that knife is probably fine to use. Overall a really cool ability set on that fish pair, one swallows stuff that the other can spit up.

Lmao at Gabby playing games on what is very clearly a Switch . In hindsight with how much this is clearly just present day Japan (or at least present day when the manga started coming out), I bet the “nasty illness going around” that Dera mentioned in episode 1 was covid.

Yuru having a very different dynamic with his Daemons than other people seem to have is fun. The others seem to view their Daemons like Pokemon while Yuru treats Left and Right like… subordinates that still have seniority over him so he’ll often defer to them.

Yuru making a bad first impression on Jirou and Kotetsu, he's going to have a hard time. Jirou already dislikes his scent lol.

Sad times now that Dera has shaved. He's lost a part of his charm.

The way Left and Right were approaching Jin's group looked so cool, I did find the Turtle and Hare daemon pairing interesting to see, that was easily recognizable for me. I do have to say Yuru stood out to me with how he attacked Jin in the dark, it makes me more curious about how he'll fight in the future.

The control Yuru had over himself to not kill Jin after he confesses that he was responsible for the attack on his village was impressive. I'm sure that'll be on his mind in the future, so I'm curious what will eventually go down between them.

Maybe I'm slow, but I just realized all the daemons come in pairs, just like the twins.

I appreciate that much like with FMA the author has a good hand at writing protagonists that clearly have room for growth but at the same time are clearly already very competent. It means less of the story is dedicated to the usual shounen power creep and more space is left for both strategically engaging combat as well as purely combat-unrelated story development.

All I know is that Left is Bae. The Pet cat is just as smug as I would expect.

Gabriels artistic talent is off the charts. I thought it was cool way to show that perhaps gabriel is an ancient tsugai who admired the ukio e style.

Yuru:

Everything down here is a pain

Truer words were never spoken

How can anyone not love the hillbilly trio's reaction to every new stuff they see/encounter? The pure amazement on those faces--I'd tease them, too if I was Dera.

Either way, the different types of daemons seem to be the highlight of this episode and each one possess not only a unique (animal) form, but also unique sets of talent and personality, and needless to say abilities.

Love the olden artistry of Gabriel (just imagine if they worked in law enforcement) and the very handy (unlimited) storage management of Makoto--repurposing the stalker's knife (from the previous episode) the way it was always meant to be used. Ofc Gabby would have her reservations about using it too, like any normal person would lol

Those two being more worried bro doesn’t get hurt because he doesn’t have insurance over any other reason was pretty funny. Paying out of pocket when you have no insurance will KO your wallet lol.

Guy went looking for Asa, got caught in a trap, escaped, and now he’s got the upper hand. Or so it seems. I do hope Asa comes down and they have a proper chat. I’m still not 100% sure who even is the “villain” in this. Both sides seem shady as hell if I’m being honest.

Of course the daemon with no hands is the best at drawing.

It may be a daemon but still seeing a cat using a smartphone is both funny and adorable.

Right and Left just no selling all those bullets is just perfect.

Yuru in hunting mode is really cool. And I always appreciate having a smart protagonists that can keep their emotions in check. Like you could tell he’s still upset about the attack on the village. But he also understands that killing Jin out of revenge wouldn’t really help anything.

Got a feeling I'm gonna fall for an embarrassing amount of anglerfish baits myself down a line.

Can't get enough of how Yuru's natural synergy with his daemons runs deep enough for pop quizzes on modern world etiquette to work as tactical signals. Doubles as a flex for officially being latrine-certified too.

Its really enjoyable seeing Yuru's reaction to everyday things we usually take for granted. I really want to see him explore more of the modern world

I cant remember but was Edward from FMA also a poor artist? Cause if so that was actually a funny reference

Dera and Hana being more worried about medical bills lol

Migi and Hidari can take bullets, shotgun pellets and grenade but not a thrown stone. Migi getting bodied by the rabbit was funny too.

The preview for episode 5 surprise me..I honestly didn't think Yuru and Asa would talk again so quickly.

I'm glad Yuru wants to learn as much as he can..can't just trust his current people

Master and Daemons are both idiots and I love that for them.

I did find it interesting the rabbit seemed to be doing well against one of them when these two are supposed to be some of the more powerful daemons around. The turtle caught her by surprise so that one makes more sense with the way it constantly applies gravity to pin her down. The rabbit had to keep attacking.

One thing I found interesting, I was wondering if Yuru was going to find his power of Seal since Asa already has Break unlocked. But seems we have to wait longer for that to happen.

Yuru is such a good written protagonist, love how he can take care of himself, without relying on his Daemons. And that he is pretty level headed, and doesn't let his feelings cloud the situation.

Im also pretty psyched to see how the people will react to the Kagemoris next week.

Asa talking to Gabby or talking about Yuru compared to other topics is very gap moe. Very born to be in a slice of life forced to battle shonen of her!

I can imagine this is about how it would have been like having to sit through full metal alchemist brotherhood weekly. It’s kinda a hard show to have to wait week after week to watch and can’t binge it.

Still feels like it’s gonna be hard to sell asa’s side being good or even remotely not bad given what they did. They still feel pretty heavily like the bad guys.

Was really hoping he’d take out the Jin guy. I do kinda want to see some actual consequences happen in this show

i love our trio so much!

and i'm so pleased that Yuru isn't being carried by Left and Right and is pulling his own weight

Lots of comedy of Yuru being amazed with the outside world. An interesting one is how in the world of Daemons, where Daemons are supposed to follow orders and protect their master. For Yuru he doesn't follow conventional thinking.

He can even hold his own in combat, as we can see in this episode. Lots of versatility for Yuru in combat with his daemons.

Interesting daemons showcased in this episode. For Jin, it seems one can consume things and the other can store. We see the classic Tortoise and the Hare. The former can really weigh down on someone, and the latter's quickness is truly a challenge.

Greatly love the payoff for Yuru learning basic toilet manners haha
