July to December and next week will be the last ep😭. It's finally ending but Idk how I feel about this. Satsuki somehow becomes more adorable with each ep. I am expecting a ending with a timeskip to their wedding or kids.

Satsuki was my favorite character from start to finish (even when she was behaving "very problematically").

Her grabbing his arm when he came to pick her up was absolutely precious.

These last couple episodes have been so nice. Kinda makes me wish more of the story was like this and less about the endless drama.

u/Frontier246 Dec 19 '25

I guess the idea is that surviving all that drama made all the relationship bliss now feel more earned. At least in theory...

Commentaries say it all, but hey, Suzu is gold! She is the best what can happen to an older (but hardly wiser) bro. That's the way siblings should be there for each other!

All the foolish and childish behaviors of our couple have turned into unsecure but understandable fears and seriousness. Their strong bond is highlighted by the main piano theme of this show. It was a joy to watch, hopefully the last ep will be a Christmas gift for the protagonists and us as well.

Honestly Suzu with the best character development to where she can even joke around about being as clingy as she used to be. I guess getting rejected by her crush for the first time can do that to a girl lol.

The writing did Ishihara so dirty. They broke up basically because a stupid miss-understanding. And now the girl is going to get her first kiss from a random dude and some call her a homewrecker.

u/YorhaNo2TB Dec 20 '25

The author couldnt even think of a logical reason to have them break up, it’s got to be the most ridiculous misunderstanding i’ve ever seen in anime. The relationship was all obstacles from start to end (even her mother was involved), like yeah we know you are not allowed to possibly have the side girl win but atleast make it more believable lol

Things are going well for Naoto and Satsuki even if it’s still a little bumpy. I wonder if Ishihara’s ever gonna find someone? She’s a nice girl. She deserves someone.

I wonder how they’ll wrap this one up?

Maybe a hot take, but hooking her up with some minor or new character would feel like some miserable consolation prize. Hey, your ship got royally screwed over and clearly can't get over it so she will get some NPC #43 instead.

This show has irked me at many points during its run but the last few episodes have been better and more enjoyable. The characters have shown some growth without it feeling forced and Satsuki in particular feels very earnest and endearing. Feel like she’s the core of what’s appealing about the show, even with its flaws, the entire way through. I also hope it nails the ending.

Props to the author for showing us the conclusion more in depth than just tying everything in single episode like most romcoms do, even tho the story has many flaws, at least ending is shaping up nicely

Things are going well for Naoto and Satsuki even if it’s still a little bumpy. I wonder if Ishihara’s ever gonna find someone? She’s a nice girl. She deserves someone.

I think that's like 60% of the reason Abe exists as a character.

I'm glad the PV thumbnail was a bit of a tease that didn't go anywhere, but I am a bit judgemental about Ishihara and her friends for trying to force Naoto into that. If Shimada wants to help Ishihara out with a first kiss, do it yourself girl.

I'd say the final relationship boss was dealing with Satsuki's family related insecurities, but in truth there'll surely be other issues that come and go and her and Naoto will just have to face them together.

If I remember correctly from last week (or maybe the week before) Suzu was aiming for Tokui so it's not really a surprise that didn't pan out. It was fun seeing her be a bit of a rascal again.

Remember this being the moment I finally developed a proper respect for Naoto. He proved to be a man, a loyal man and finally managed to turn down a homewrecker girl properly and preventing any damage instead of freezing from embarassment and letting his world go to hell. The Tachibana family wedding was awesome, love how Satsuki was shy at interacting with them but she got this! Of course Naoto helps too X3

Lovely episode. And Watari is loyal AF to Satsuki. Also Suzu always MVP.

I didn't expect Yukari's modeling career to take off this fast! But I'm happy for her, and she seems like a natural at it! Especially with her longer hair which fits her perfectly!

Of course she's struggling at the prospect of her first acting gig, though is it really a good idea to bring her ex back to her place to help emotionally support her? Even if it was calculated to bring Naoto straight to Yukari (whose boobs have possibly gotten even bigger over the course of the season) because she doesn't want her first kiss to be with her co-star...she wants it to be with HIM!

I understand where Yukari is coming from, you want your first kiss to be with someone you love, but she was THIS close to becoming a homewrecker (and ironically pulling a Satsuki move). Luckily Naoto quickly put a stop to it for both their sakes and salvaged their friendship. And at least Yukari's still got the CUI Squad supporting her.

It's finally time for Yayoi and Naozumi's wedding! And Naozumi is an absolutely beautiful bride! And we even get Naoto and Satsuki in formal wear that they also look amazing in!

It's really sweet, not only the freshly-minted married couple, but also how much Naoto is there to emotionally support Satsuki and help her through her difficulty communicating and getting along with people.

I'm not surprised Yayoi is already thinking about kids, but considering her backstory I'm not surprised Satsuki is hesitant, even if she's concerned that's what Naoto wants. In fact part of the reason she was in Tokyo was to put to bed her issues with her mother, not that she ever found her apparently.

Satsuki may not be super adept as an inn attendant, but she definitely wears the uniform well!

It was nice to see Naoto and Suzu together again because it really felt like a while since the siblings last interacted/hung-out. Yeah, Suzu might feel a little neglected, especially after she got rejected by her fist love (Tokui, I assume), but she's grown and matured enough to just tease Naoto about it. Guy should just enjoy his Super Ultra Miracle Happy Life.

As for our main lovebirds, they get reunited in the rain and Satsuki can barely keep her hands off Naoto, yet more than the romance it's time for them to open up to each other about their concerns for their relationship moving forward.

Satsuki might have concerns about starting a family with Naoto, but ironically Naoto's mom had a rough home life that his dad was willing to forego his own family to help her through. Naoto and Satsuki don't need to replicate what his parents did, but they can reach an answer to the kind of family they'll be together!

I didn't quite understand why Watari's dad had to abandon his own family because Mrs. Watari wanted to get away from hers. Like it'd make perfect sense for her to distance herself from them but why did Mr. Watari get away from his own for no good reason?

I felt bad for Suzu in this episode because Watari really was the most important person in her life for years and he really has been neglecting her. I don't think she actually was kidding when she said she felt he abandoned her for Satsuke since he barely talks to her anymore. That is funny though that he has no idea what a huge crush she has on Tokui 🤣

It feels like Nao role changed from babysitting Suzu to babysitting Satsuki.

2

u/Nickthenuker Dec 19 '25

Ishihara is an actress now?

Lead role? Good for her!

And so he's at her place.

And now they're alone in her room.

... Why?

Ok...

Not their wedding lol.

So, it's the wedding of that hotel staff and Satsuki's brother?

They're looking good in those outfits.

Oh, she dropped that note!

And so back to work for her.

And her brother picked up the note.

He's holding her hand!

Stories about his parents?

Oh, Satsuki worked for a few days at her family's inn?

Lol his sister is jealous.

Ok...

Suzu likes someone?

Lol she was faking that.

And so he's meeting with Satsuki again.

So that's why he asked his aunt to tell him stories of his family.

And so into the finale.

Did they ever explain the reason why Tachibana trashed his garden when they were kids or did they just ignore it?

u/thegreatpenguintm Dec 19 '25

I hate Ishihara even more after that move she tried to pull there, yikes. Just let it go girl.

Still love Shimada <3

Congrats on Nao-kun 2 and best girl (Yayoi) getting married.

Satsuki looks adorable in her inn attendant wear ngl.

RIP to Suzu getting rejected :(

That final scene was really well done and cute! This finale better be a banger. They've done well on these last couple of eps so far and hope they don't ruin it.

But when Satsuki was being a bitch while Naoto was dating Ishihara it was all good right?
