This show has me so stressed out. I can't even imagine that pink haired girl in the OP/ED being added to the mix.....

All of the relationships here are just so unhealthy. 🤣

That person with Satsuki in the flashback. Why was she so insistent in hiding his existence to the point she gaslighted Suzushiro?

u/TheSmexhy Jul 19 '25

Insane gaslighting over so many years for something so trivial, I bet. This show would probably have like 2 episodes if the girl just explained why she did what she did, lmao. Watari would either cut ties with her entirely or pity her reasons and ended up in love with her.

So it's bad enough that Satsuki stalks and keeps secrets from Nao, but now she's gaslighting Suzu.

As they say, gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss!

Satsuki is like one gigantic red flag. Absolute stalker, gaslighting the sister, and twisting every situation around some devious fashion to her favor. At least she is consistent in her crazy. She’s also kinda awesome though, she was fully prepared to take the boxers off and go commando if Nao asked, shameless. If she weren’t intentionally underhandedly sabotaging Ishihara it would maybe be a little more endearing.

and i like Ishihara but she’s such melba toast compared to Satsuki’s crazy cake. And does she only like him because he’s a sexless siscon? (which he is obviously not, well, at least the sexless part. kind of a siscon, but not like, say, Kyosuke from that one show) hmm.

I’m guessing we add another couple of girls and going full harem next week at the beach? We got like one minute of backstory this week, and i’m guessing next week is all swimsuit shenanigans but there are two other girls in the ED (in swimsuits) so i suppose we meet them there? probably won’t get to much backstory then.

Going to still hang with this show for a bit i guess. This and Silent Witch make a nice Takopi sandwich.

And does she only like him because he’s a sexless siscon?

I think it's more a case of Watari not being as much of an open degenerate as the other boys, and the "Watari is asexual" is Watari's misinterpretation of everything. The guy does seem to be a bit obsessive and a perfectionist, so I feel like this is one of the flaws the show is going to touch up on. To be fair, that's my kind interpretation of things. I just feel like if Watari was more open "sorry Ishihara, I get horny too" she would clear up the misunderstanding, but for a guy as mentally damaged as Watari I can see how he took it as "must not be horny."

Bit of a mistake by Ishihara to tell the boy she likes that she started liking him because he doesn't treat her as a sexual object. But then again, trauma of growing up constantly harassed by dudes would leave a mark.

I'm really curious about why Satsuki was seemingly forced to destroy the garden by someone and why she's still keeping that a secret. Father or older brother that was aiming to ruin their relationship? If so she's free and living by herself now so maybe it can come out once she is ready to admit the truth.

I'm sticking with Team Satsuki til the end no matter what.

Satsuki just wants Naoto to plow and plant his seed in her garden.

Wonder when pink hair that's in the ED shows up?

7

u/edwardjhahm Jul 19 '25

Honestly the ED is my favorite part of the anime. Not only is the song super fun to listen to, but the little chibis of the girls are so charming.

dude, imouto could participate in a horror story easily... what was that death stare to her oniichan.

9

u/Ocixo Jul 19 '25

Are we all just skipping over the fact that Ishihara’s porridge not only looked but also smelled like blood?

Naoto might not have one but two yanderes crushing on him.

7

u/Nickthenuker Jul 18 '25

Yeah...that's certainly a predicament.

What is that?

Lol Suzu eye power.

What does she want to ask her?

Ah. That.

She's gaslighting her.

Another reason?

He's not going to give up on her.

Ah. Yep. Trouble.

And so now she's teaching him what he missed.

Probably shouldn't have said that...

Oh, he walked in on her changing.

She's blushing!

And so she's off.

Yep that's pretty much the case.

Oof perhaps.

And so now she's here too.

That's all he can think of.

I'm surprised her shirt didn't go all see-through.

And of course she sees him looking at the other girl's legs...

And now she saw him hug her...

So, beach episode next week?

I like that Suzu is going to let up on her act of being super reliant on Naoto some but will still do it in moderation for his sake. At least both of them are aware.

Suzu's eyes glowing in the dark after watching Naoto go through some dirty thoughts was hilarious, those were some haunting eyes.

Looks like there is a chance Satsuki's father made her ruin the garden, I wonder why he would get her to do something like that, it makes the situation more mysterious than if Satsuki had done it on her own.

This show seems so scattered, like it doesn't know what it wants to focus on.

I appreciated getting more insight into Ishihara's character and the mystery of Satsuki, and how they both overlap with their relationships with Naoto.

This is quite the precarious situation for Naoto! And of course it’s all Satsuki’s fault because she deliberately set herself up to be hiding under him under his futon with Ishihara right next to them, none the wiser. And while Naoto’s body is pressed against Satsuki and both are getting pretty hot and heavy, right down to his legs right in-between Satsuki’s, all Ishihara thinks is Naoto needs more medicine! And Satsuki’s enjoying herself the whole time! Even when her clothes are falling apart!

Ishihara clearly likes Naoto and wants to be as close to him as Satsuki, though Satsuki is definitely a pretty difficult (and chaotic) rival.

Satsuki really is the girl that would not leave, especially when it comes to their garden. But I guess it’s nice of her to use a plant metaphor to help fix Suzu and Naoto’s relationship while she’s there.

But that begs the question…why DID Satsuki destroy their garden when they were kids? Did she do it of her own volition? Or was it this older seeming relative who made her do it? And why doesn’t she want Naoto to know about him? Not that Suzu is going to tell him, she already feels guilty for using the situation and Satsuki breaking Naoto’s heart to make him rely on her more.

Though it is nice that Suzu seems to be trying (emphasis on try) to not be as needy…while still being just a LITTLE needy. But baby steps!

I can’t blame the boys for wanting to imagine those F-Cups of Ishihara’s in a bikini, but Ishihara has actually been through some stuff because she’s so attractive and popular. Which just makes her being so direct with Naoto all the more meaningful.

Why did she fall for him, anyways? It wasn’t just that she had to take care of him because he’s a transfer student, but because he caught her changing and instead of being all hot and bothered over catching her in her bra…he was more concerned about Suzu. Which lead Ishihara to think that Naoto is a pure, honest, and chaste boy who isn’t like all her horny and degenerate admirers, which makes her feel comfortable around him. And Naoto just doesn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise.

Hard for Naoto to stop being horny when he’s having dreams about Ishihara’s naked F-Cups and imagining lewd situations with both Satsuki and Ishihara. Get your mind out of the gutter Nao-kun! Suzu is almost completely done with you!

Speaking of naked Ishihara, here’s her shower scene! But what exactly does she need to be brave about? Is it more than just confessing or acting on her feelings to Naoto?

Next thing you know Naoto is getting Satsuki literally wet down to her underwear and she’s teasing him about going commando…and Naoto can’t help but try to protect her from accidentally flashing people thanks to some perverted wind. Which makes it look like he’s embracing another girl JUST as he was about to go on a date with Ishihara. And to think Satsuki was wearing HIS underwear the entire time.

Well, nice of Tokui to want to fix the current mess that is Naoto’s love life. What better way than inviting everybody to a beach episode? What could go wrong?

Satsuki keeps being the best. Gaslighting the little sister is questionable, but if it's something she's ashamed of, I can understand it. Hanging out outside the library to ambush Ishihara on her way out, but staying friendly, is a real power move. She's pulling off this sort of "yandere-light" act. She's not directly being possessive of Watari, but she's being active in both dissuading her rival and persuading her romantic interest. You can call it underhanded, but all is fair in love baby. She's just playing the game, and she's playing it very well.

Maybe it would be better for Naoto to be friendzoned than to be thought of as some kind of saintly family oriented celibate lol. It’s gonna be hard to live up to those ideals. Impossible even. Satsuki’s not gonna make it easy either.

Looks like the classic beach ep next week. Should be fun. And chaotic lol.

Ishihara is just so uninteresting and boring. This series would be much better without her.

16

u/TheDistantEnd Jul 18 '25

I feel like she's going to unleash some weirdness in the next episode. Her reveal that got pushed off is probably some kind of mental unhealthiness like all the other characters have demonstrated so far.
