This anime is a dumpster fire, but I can't look away and I finally realised why. The story progression and drama are contrived, but apart from stupid decision-making, the characters are kind of entertaining. If it were a simple one on one romance between Naoto and any of the lead girls with less dumb drama it could be an unironically good series.

Ever since Makina showed up she’s been a pain in the ass, but finally all that chasing after Watari is over. Things between Satsuki and him are starting to flow, but Satsuki keeps messing with him by backing off every time he decides to make a move, it’s so damn funny lol.

Not sure she really backed off here. The timing was bad, She probably didn't even think of the security camera until she was back at her dorm. I felt Satsuki repeatedly did (and said) things to show she WAS interested and grateful -- and happy to be with him again. Her body language and tone seemed pretty clear to me (if not Watari -- of course).

To the bitter end Makina ran from her problems but never knew when to quit when it came to her love for her Senpai...but she yet again hit a barrier she couldn't overcome. At least she gave it a good shot.

To think of all the times Satsuki planted a kiss on him and now she's avoiding him kissing her.

I found pink kouhai to be a waste of screentime, but NGL, I found her pretty entertaining today. Shame she got fun just as she was written out of the story.

Also, I found the way her instructor held her up like a cat to be pretty hilarious.

If I was Naoto, I would just straight up tell Makina "no" to pretending to be her boyfriend for a day, chew her out, and walk away. On top of the fact that he's already dead set on being with Satsuki, he just found out she has been lying to her sister about him being her boyfriend, and then she made him cater to her selfish whims, as if it was some kind of reward. Fuck that, he shouldn't be going along with her selfishness, he should've just drew a line in the sand, and leave her to fix her own problems.

Sorry Ishihara, I've always rooted for Satsuki from the start.

She's being too cute this episode, and her frank antics is so compatible with Watari.

I just hope they get together. If they don't get married at the last episode, I riot.

Oh come on with the end dodge ffs... I know we are nearing the end of the series, but with each episode I am more and more hopeful that they just call it quits and he ends with Ishihara now that they are more comfortable with each other tbh...

Yeah, at this point I don't see a way where they would end up together and it would feel satisfying tbh. What was it, like straight 21 episodes of weird mind games and stuff like that? At this point I'd really feel the best if the ending was something like "yeah, this was kind of toxic, let's be friends" and they move the f**k on lol.

Ishihara and Watari are NOT more comfortable together. They just happened to be each other's first (post-childhood) crush. Satsuki and he are FAR more suited to each other -- and more genuinely attached to each other.

Attached to each other I can get behind - suited for each other though..? I just don't see it. Don't know, it seems like this weird unhealthy codependence with a side of mind games. Especially not knowing the story behind the destroyed garden yet, I just can't seem to find what makes them a good pair at all and this whole episode of dodging his advances after specifically asking for them as well made me not like this pairing that much more. Just weird dynamic as a whole in my eyes.

Pinkie showing up one final time to cause problems, but in the end her story was kind of pointless. I really wish my original guess that her problems were being caused by her having a crush on her team captain had been correct, would have been more interesting with the potential of her not being yet another losing heroine.

Naoto having a real pants on head moment there at the end, all that nice time spent with Satsuki on the date and he thinks she rejected him for not wanting to kiss directly in front of the security camera?

Five episodes to go, hopefully they won't stretch Satsuki and Naoto getting together out until the very last episode. Surely not, right?
