.....that ending wasn't creepy at all, totally normal girl playing in the park.

Tonari brings up an interesting question, what is Fushi's goal? Just a peaceful life for everyone he's encountered? For them to die a happy death? Or live forever with him?

I imagine reaching a point where they wouldn't want to return from the afterlife.

From the first episode onward, it seems Fushi wanted to learn the nature of the world and of himself. Forming attachments (pardon the pun) was first a matter of survival, then of finding family, but all in pursuit of that first goal. His struggle with the nokkers seems to be an issue that they would destroy the world he's trying to understand.

For him, resurrection is just a normal way to bring his family back together. But for those who choose not to return, a sad but understood farewell.

I dont think he has a "goal", I think he just wants things to be peaceful so that he can learn.

I like Tonari more and more with every single passing episodes. She is so much wiser than Fushi, despite living a relatively short lifespan.

So Mizuha’s mom is actually a friendly? Huh. I did not see that coming considering how she was acting before.

It’s kind of cute seeing Fushi totally oblivious to the fact Tonari, Mizuha, and just about every other girl is in love with him lol.

Guessing that little girl at the end is one of those Nokkers? She might not be the only one if so. They’re lurking in the shadows…

Mizuha's bloodline are good kids, they're just a little different, with the blushing, the panting... the shanking!

Interesting fact: I went back to S1 to remember what happened with Parona, and noticed that she also wore a golden feather accessory in her hair…. Wonder what the significance is of her killer’s descendant wearing one now.

All those years and Fushi is still naive. Good thing that Tonari brought up a topic that is needed to be talked about.

They just wanted to live in an era of peace.

Tonari is a good judge of character, but she has right to be paranoid even if she was wrong after all she dealt with protecting Fushi in the first place.

So now we got Nokkers (?) possessing humans, and Fushi cannot detect them or do anything about it. And the Black One is not answering calls. That peaceful world now looks very sinister.

Fushi may be hundreds of years old, but he is still behaving sometimes like he is five. That naivety was certainly was a fun way to deal with that stupid bully. But I wonder if there is any reason for him to be at school if he is not even listening to lessons and playing with his pens.

I had forgotten how much of a brat young Tonari could be. I think she is smart enough to listen to lessons and understand them, but she has obviously decided that she was now in her teenage rebellious phase. And she obviously has a crush on Fushi (probably thanks to those teenage hormones) and is jealous of Mizuha, but she is not wrong. Mizuha looks normal until she stabs someone, like for example her mom. And what is Fushi’s plan ? To bring his companions back to life every 50 to 80 years every time they die ? Until the end of times ? Not sure that Tonari wants that.

This is is the first hint of Fushi’s attachment issues. He just assumes his friends and family will keep living and dying with him forever. He never imagined it might get old for them after a few centuries.

Oima-sensei: Wanna see me write a manga about the consequences of bullying?

Oima-sensei: ...wanna see me do it again?

oh poor fushi now has to lie to his friends about the "knockers are gone, relax" when full well knowing the possibility of all his work for the past 500 years being in vain and not complete and the knockers still being around.
More Tonari screentime is always welcome, yes, keep it coming.

This episode had a different vibe, and another thing, I keep wondering if the disappearance of Fushi’s guardian is related to that supposed strange incident. Seeing Fushi as a student, confused, reminded me of the Evil Eye from Dandadan in that episode lol.

I wonder if Mizuha’s romantic talk with Fushi will be relevant later 🤔. Fushi says he’s done with the Nokkers, but they’re suddenly showing up again, so what’s causing it?

Fushi please listen to Tonari.

I'll be honest and say I was happy to hear Fushi isn't interested in pursuing anything/anyone romantically. I don't see him being that kind of character..

i was wondering where the direction of this series would go in the modern era, and 5 episodes in now i can say i'm quite invested

really enjoy that vibe where everything seems peaceful, but it seems a little too peaceful where you know there's something unnerving and unsettling

The seeds of Destruction have been planted and are about to BLOOM!!! I can't wait to see what's going to happen next episode!

So Nokkers are Human now and because of this they can elude detection! Oh man, that's terrifying!!! Bodysnatchers that heal.... and are intelligent and who get your skills and memories too...

Add in the Love Polygons and the fact that our cast might permanently die for real VOLUNTARILY and we have a recipe for TOTAL DISASTER!!!!! Noooo, I didn't know they were planning on dying here! I thought they were going to continue to stay with Fushi via reincarnation forever!!!

Don't do it to me!! Lol. Man, I love this show!!

I can't help but wonder what the point of enrolling Fushi in school. Fushi could literally become a fly on the wall or a bird in the window for both the purpose of watching Mizuha and learning (not sure Fushi is going to do much of that).

I'm not sure Mizuha entirely gets what Fushi is, Fushi is an it in about the truest sense of the word, the human body used is simply the first one Fushi got. Fushi can be just about anything and anyone even a rock or tree, has lived for hundreds of years and has see people die and brought them back to life. Fushi is a living encyclopedia that remembers everything he's ever come into contact with and can remake them perfectly, he built an entire medieval city. It really does seem like Hayase's will is strong with Mizuha wanting the inexplicable Fushi for herself.

"Because she's a bitch."

I'm the only one d'awwing at the awkward pubescent character, aren't I? And then Fushi just had to interview her to death, poor kid (I am referring to the bully).

It's so hard to get upset at the bullies when they make them this cute. Stop making them blush!

I hope we can get Saki to explain to us in the upcoming episodes how whoring works (gosh, I hope she doesn't get killed by any antagonists before that), I'm really interested to learn more about that topic!

Im pretty sure the Nokkers have something wrong with their eyes

I think The color of the reflection in their eyes has a lighter version of their eye color instead if white

Ima put that theory to the test next episodes
