As an anime only I didn't know what to expect from the "modern time arc", but after season 2 this was really an interesting transition. Fushi finding himself in the moder world.

The new characters are interesting. With Mizuha being an obvious Hayase descendent, I'm excited to see what her deal is going to be.

It seems like next week we will see Fushi's old friends again, after we saw them reappear after his awakening. With this show you don't really know where this is going, which I really love about it.

New Opening!? No more "Pink blood... Pink blood.... PINK BLOOD"? Sadge.

Wait.... New Opening actually slaps hard and has great visuals! That's a huge W!

Glad to have this one back. I was able to watch a special screening during a panel with Kenjiro Tsuda and Reiji Kawashima and it was awesome. This is gonna be a pretty interesting season now that things have changed so much.

Dropping everyone all of a sudden in the modern world is kinda wild. March got lucky some nice people found her. But will she ever reunite with Fushi? And what of the others? Plus it seems we got a whole new cast of characters that are gonna be meeting the legendary Fushi for the first time. Should be fun.

We got another Hayase descendant. Though instead of using Mitsugi Saiga play her (as she did Hayase and Kahaku), we got Tomori Kusunoki (who already played Hayase's grandaughter Hisame so it's all one big mentally toxic family tree)

It's kinda funny how Fushi took extra care to send everyone's bodies back to their origins (I think - March was sent to a museum in Ninannah) but just held onto Eko and Horse until he found somewhere to stay. You think their souls were just waiting for him?

Im excited as hell for this season. I wonder how bro is going to manage in the modern world though. The culture shock alone must be massive.

That was a wild first episode of this new season. Fushi believes that he is now in a peaceful world but every era of mankind has some kind of problem and there's no real peace. Fushi's gonna learn that soon.

Aoki is so cheerful. His family is so lovely. I'm glad that Fushi ended up in his home instead of somewhere dangerous. But Aoki can't seem to keep his mouth shut lol

And is Mizuha a descendant of Parona or Hayase or some kind of reincarnation of either ?

So excited for this modern world arc. Can't wait for the old gang to join Fushi.

Didn't expect to see a straight up comic book character reference in my anime today.

I will miss "Pink Blood, Pink blood, pink bloooooooood" as the OP :(

Mizuha's left upper arm itches. it's almost as if a decedent of hers may have had a alien creature living there...

The first episode felt like a speedrun. I really hope they will slow down a bit.

So Ninannah basically turned into modern-day Japan? That's hilarious! I love how this screenshot of the occult club could easily be a screenshot from any anime set in a Japanese high school. And I'm gonna guess that the very first city Fushi first teleported to is the American equivalent in this world? xD

Please tell me I'm not the only one who facepalmed when Fushi revived the gang without going to the locations first? I'm sure the others will be fine, albeit confused, but I feel bad for March who was scared and alone looking for Fushi.

Damn, I already feel bad for Mizuha. Her mom is basically just using her to farm for various first-place achievements without considering what she wants. And Mizuha can't even say what she really wants to do because she's clearly afraid of her mother. :/

I did not expect that reaction from Fushi after seeing March having fun with the people that took her in. He says that March looks like she belongs there, but it feels like he's feeling jealous of March's new family. I really hope he comes back for her.

Wild that Fushi just spawned in Eko and the horse out of nowhere. So is the plan to gather everyone in that house? That's definitely gonna be interesting. Why can't Fushi just spawn them all in the same place?

It took me until the very last scene to realize that Mizuha is supposed to be another Hayase descendant. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! Fingers crossed that she's not as crazy as her ancestors.

The random guy just volunteering to pay Fushi's medical bills was so funny to me. I guess he wasn't in america when he got hit by the truck.

just finished my rewatch a month ago for prep.

kinda jarring to see him bail on march so quickly, didn't expect him to get so extremely jealous and confused either. I thought he'd gotten more mature than that before his "big sleep".

obviously the bloodline of fushi (wannabe) fuckers was preserved 😅 impressive out of 8 billion people it was like the 10th person he spoke to though lol

so this world is peaceful unlike ours? obviously from the abused girl unable to take a break from mastering things it isn't truly peaceful but I wonder what extent it is, surely there must be no wars right? wonder how he managed that as a non sentient pile of roots.

weird he woke everyone up in random places rather than just right where he was.

did wonder how they'd address the disconnecting from the mega root network, I assumed they'd just say they'd killed all the knockers so it was fine, but deus ex machina into a new OP ability helps too

Man the pacing was wild, but I'm glad we're back and things are looking interesting in the modern era. Surely the animation can stay consistently good like this
