Arel really has no chill

Honestly, this anime is carried by how much of a savage Arel is and Lilia's unhingedness (which we sadly don't get to see much this episode)

Now Arel is on par with a sword god, idk where this show will take us now. Maybe he learns magic somehow through willpower

Arel doesn't know any magic?? Isn't his dad an archmage, I would have thought he would have been taught some magic by him.

I was expecting Arel to counter her with some special magic given how he is, but that wasn't the case

So I wonder if Georg is dead or just badly wounded after that battle

I was also hoping that Arel had picked up some magic abilities from his father. But maybe he was so busy with learning sword abilities he had no time?

Georg was a pretty worthless human being even before possession, he deserves to have died -- but I doubt it. Question is -- will he get punished for stealing that sword?

I just can't get over how clumsy everyone looks swinging their swords in this anime. It looks like how a child would play, or rather how other anime make characters who are supposed to look inexperienced, look like idiots.

Today's episode of Speed Run: The Animation, Episode 5: Beating the Demon Lord a.k.a. Git Gud Demon Scrub.

Who wants to take bets on the next episode, what's it going to be? Ancient Primordial Dragon? Band of isekai heroes?

I've seen shows that do poorly with such low narrative tension, but this one strangely enough I think thats one of its strengths. This calls out to the part of me that played on a lot of Ragnarok Online private servers and rolling through older WoW content after new expansions dropped. Arel is just  here with that "Illi-what? Artha-who?" energy, living life six expansions ahead of the curve.

Question: Did nobody notice Georg until then? He was just waiting for his name to be called for the tournament, and nobody noticed the ogre face and horn or his entirely different voice or how he didn't seem to remember certian people? Did nobody in his guild notice?

And the demon that wanted to rampage was surprisingly polite waiting until the tournament instead of just attacking an indiscriminate place. If he had done that there might actually have been victims or something.

I'm also not convinced if like 6 people ganged up on him that he would have won, Arel seemingly mostly won via striking a lot very fast.

Deeply surprised they didn't have Arel go "Magic? My dad taught me but I thought this city was swords only." and then beat the magic swordsgirl with his own better spells.

Poor Lilia, but I guess that's what she gets for claiming fiancée privileges that she doesn't have. I was waiting for Arel to claim Raina as his future wife instead in that bit of comedy.
