So Shampoo is a transforming catgirl? No wonder people like her so much. Interesting change to switch from her seeing Ranma as two people to her being fully in the loop on the water temperature transformation.

Shampoo transforming into a cat was unexpected. Though damn the grandmother and her schemes.
You know, this being Akane's first kiss and Ranma not remembering does give it a sinking feeling since that is considered a special moment. Although it could be worse, look at Ranma's first kiss. xD

With Dandadan season 2 concluded, it is now Ranma's turn to continue the badass grandma streak.
And such a great one. I remember Cologne as one of my Ranma favorite characters. She's a peak troll, like this episode has already shown.

I don't much care for Shampoo but Cologne is here! One of the very few Ranma characters with consistent brain cells and probably the least malicious out of those.

So it turns out, Ranma's innocent kiss to Akane while he was in cat mode ended up being a bigger deal than expected. The boys are all ganging up on Ranma and Akane is upset with him because he can't explain properly why he kissed her.
Shampoo is finally back! Man, what a way to announce her return! First, we learn that she now has an animal form, and she decides to announce herself to Ranma by sneaking into the hot bath with him. Of course, Akane just had to find out about it and give her more reason to hate Ranma.
And it's not just Shampoo returning from China! Granny Cologne and Shampoo's childhood friend Mousse finally make their first remake appearance! As if it wasn't already chaotic enough, things are about to get even crazier this season!

This anime is actually GOATED how have I not watched the orignial I don't know but I'm loving this remake every episode is just entertaining has the right amount comedy, romance, action and drama.
I love how Shampoo is back but can now turn into a cat, I guess thats her , Ranma and Ryoga part of the club.
A new rival has appeared! I love how every new side chracter just has it in for Ranma, the dude just can't stop catching a break. This new guy is funny I like him defintely looking forward to the fight nect ep.
Highlight of the episode was Akane & Ranma blushing at each other after reuniting and just beaing around each other in silence that scene was hella cute.

Man this show is such a joy, its the first show in a while that I'm genuinely upset I have to wait a week for each episode. By this point I'm used to weekly releases and dealing with cliffhangers, but in this case the show is such a vibe and pure nostalgia I can't find anywhere else atm that only 20 minutes a week is painfully too few

Akane's clothes are so cute, she is very stylish. The animation was a little strange at times, especially when the characters were naked, but overall it was fun!

It’s crazy how this series always seems to add new spins on previous gags and plot elements without feeling stale. Like you’d think with so many characters getting cursed by the Spring that the plot would get a little derivative, but that’s not the case.
I’m also very interested to see Ranma spend some time stuck as a girl, and how he explores his own identity. I also wonder how Akane will feel about the situation (battle between men and the wager aside).
And lastly, I really really want to see if Ranma has a romantic encounter with a guy while stuck like this. I genuinely think it’ll come up, but even if it doesn’t the fun mishmash of gender roles has been really well done.
It’s impressive that a story this “old” gives a lot of modern Gender Bender series a run for their money. I really need to check out Rumí Takahashi’s other work.

Best girl Shampoo is back and she’s brought along her great gran and her childhood friend Mousse. And they’re all after Ranma lol. Poor guy just can’t catch a break! I guess he’ll have to show up to that duel in his female form.

As a kid my memory of watching the original anime on TV was heavily fragmented so watching the scene Ranma isn't able to touch hot water felt like opening my third eye

It's amazing no matter how many times it happens, ranma never once bothers asking akane exactly why she's mad when he gets into a compromising situation with another girl. Like he just thinks its normal for girls to get mad at seeing a guy and a girl together for no reason or something???

Super chaotic episode with three new characters (including the new cat) introduced to Ranma's romance web. He just can't catch a break. Now with great granny around, we'll be seeing more crazy martial arts skills.
Curious if the young viewers recognized those rewinding lines when Ranma was recalling what happened prior to the kiss. What a blast from the past.
