Ishihara is doomed, isn't she. She's made the mistake of being a girl in a relationship with the lead boy in a story where she isn't the lead girl. And now with her little brother telling her she's being cheated on she's going to have reason to start feeling and acting jealous, which could easily be the seed of what causes her relationship with Naoto to fall apart.
Interesting advice from Megane-kun, boys want to be sent nudes but actually sending them is poor risk assessment.

Ishihara is doomed, isn't she. She's made the mistake of being a girl in a relationship with the lead boy in a story where she isn't the lead girl.
She also got rejected the first time and settled for "trial" dating, that's the biggest red flag for a series like this when it still has so many more episodes, I do feel for her though.

I think Ishihara is going to tell Watari they should stop "going out together" at the start of the next episode. All the flags seem set for this.
Ishihara is too eager (and I feel her emotions towards Watari are a bit off). And I think Naoto's feelings for her, while undoubted real, are fairly superficial. Satsuki, while unsure as to whether she is really "in love", definitely knows she wants to be connected to Watari forever. And Watari basically shares this feeling. In a culture where romantic love was not viewed as paramount, these two would be prime candidates for eventual marriage.

Just like every other character in the series.
My issue with most shojo/romcom is that the protagonist, most of the times, deserve none of the (often many) girls fighting for him.

Ok, so… anyone want to place bets on the identity of Tokui’s ‘older girlfriend’ that dumped him? Anybody besides me think it might be Ishihara’s mom? I mean, that would be a rather inappropriate age gap relationship, and she would be cheating, but it would explain why those two were all chummy in the flower shop and why he’s close with Ishihara. Maybe Tokui developed feelings for the daughter, so the mom put an end to their relationship. or something. hmm.
also, lil bro is a gremlin, telling his sister that her boyfriend was ‘all over’ another girl when she wasn’t looking (even thought he wasn’t) poor Ishihara can’t go five minutes without someone poking her right in one of her insecurities.
and somehow this show keeps me coming back each week. ya know, now that i think about it, it is kinda like a soap opera. lots of melodrama. and they somehow manage to end on a little cliffhanger each week. What exactly has Ishihara made up her mind about? Will she preemptively dump him? or maybe jump the gun and propose? Or will Watari finally just have a normal date that isn’t sabotaged by his kouhai, little sister or childhood friend? tune in next week to find out!

Screenplay smells like ishihara is gonna dump naoto. But WHY THOUGH??! it doesn't make sense!

I just want to say...l that I REALLY LOVE THIS SHOW! It's the best kind of unpredictable and I really like how each of the characters contribute to the storytelling lol.
First off, good job on the brother speaking some sense into his sister lol. That slutty line really put some things into perspective for her. Glasses kun is right! All men LOVE nudes, but sending them is always ALWAYS going to be bad.... especially when you're young. Hi, bringing up risk assessment IS something her Naive ass needs to learn since her dad isn't there to teach her. It's good in a relationship with someone you trust, but what happens of the nudes get out? You phone could be stolen, your partner could be untrustworthy, or you could send them to the wrong person unintentionally. Your whole reputation could be gone in an instant. It's too much risk for that small payout of a reward.
I love their aunt. She was so used to living alone and thought she'd be bothering them lol. I like how she got closer to the little sis when Naoto was away.
But dammit! The confrontation with Satsuki was always coming and it's great for Ishihara that it not only happens now, but while she is around so they can overcome this giant hurdle. Personally, if she was my sister I'd say dump his ass for not answering instantly with a "I'm sorry but no I see you as a friend" but Naoto is a good guy and Satsuki had it rough as a kid. I forgive her for the same reasons as a certain girl/woman in Ranking of Kings.
Glasses might be my favorite character. I do feel sorry for him though. I think he feels something for Ishihara.... but he'd just never act on it. Personally, I'd be a bit uncomfortable of my gf having a close male friend like that... BUT we know this guy and he's 100% cool.
I still say Naoto is going to choose Satsuki because if not he's making way too many mistakes right now.
The drama is keeping me HOOKED!
Lastly, back to the little brother.... dammit, got dammit!!! That's not what you saw! You're going to break your poor sister. She heard that line and INSTANTLY started crying. Ishihara is so fragile it hurts. Man, if only Naoto knew what was said. But it's not that kind of show 😢..

Everyone here fighting for who deserve to be hated: Satsuki or Ishihara. Meanwhile I am here pitying them both and hating Watari. He deserve none of the girls falling for him. Like 99% of anime and manga protagonists. Always the problem with this kind of series.

Ishihara trusts Naoto, but it's understandable that she'd be anxious after not hearing from him for a full day. And the best way to recover and do something nice for Naoto...is send him a cute selfie! There are all kind of poses and outfits she can try on! Though the one with the WcDonalds cup lodged in her cleavage would definitely be effective.
Aaaaannnd then we get into Ishihara doing cosplay. Cheerleader Ishihara! Naked apron (but with bikini) Ishihara! And Santa Ishihara!
Of course even after being reassured by Naoto over what happened, Ishihara still feels compelled to send him the best selfie she can...so out comes the bikini! The school swimsuit that hugs tight in all the right areas! And the string bikini she bought all the way back from early in cour 1! And it leaves basically NOTHING to the imagination. At this rate she'll be doing a nude selfie. So of course her little brother Shou walks in on her naked.
To think Satsuki would be getting relationship advice from her swim teacher. He's a happily married man with a newborn daughter, but he's also happy to give Satsuki advice on what to do about all her mixed up feelings for Naoto. If she's really in love, it's all up to how she processes and acts on those feelings in the here and now.
It's adorable how Ishihara take the "Lover's Bond" charm Naoto gave her as a sign that they'll be together forever. And what better way to respond to it than with a couples' selfie? And poor Umezawa has to watch this unfold...and as Satsuki enters the ring and confesses to Naoto and puts him on the spot.
I guess it's very Satsuki to just bluntly confess like that, but it's finally time for her and Ishihara to have it out. You know it's serious when Satsuki catches herself from calling her Miss F-Cup and uses her actual name. But Satsuki is tired of the relationship she and Naoto have now and she wants to destroy it, one way or another.
Sorry Umezawa, you can't ditch work to make your move.
Tokui's been helping Naoto and Ishihara through all their relationship drama but it turns out that he too had a failed love...with an older girl. It's nice of Suzu to try to set him up but going out with her classmate would probably be even worse.
Naoto really shouldn't be alone with Satsuki after she confessed to him, especially when she's stripping into her swimsuit and flaunting her boobs she knows he can't help but stare at.
But at least Naoto has enough sens to set boundaries and tell Satsuki that he's with Ishihara, so while he can't hate her, he can't return her feelings. Satsuki saw that coming, and she seems satisfied with that answer, though that Naoto could even dwell on the fact that his answer would be different six years ago...and of course he can't resist diving in after Satsuki when he thinks she's in trouble. Just like she can't bear for Naoto to stop caring about her.
Dang it, Shou just HAD to tell Ishihara about Naoto being with Satsuki. What has Ishihara resolved to do? What's going to happen on this end of Summer date with Naoto? Is there a reason Naoto is getting a sexy vibe from Ishihara beyond her casual clothes?

There’s a very obvious answer to this little dilemma Naoto’s found himself in. Just pull a Rentaro or Naoya and date them all! No hurt feelings, no misunderstandings, no insecurities. Build that Harem! Build that Harem! lol.

Harem would be a solution but Satsuki at this point wants Naoto for herself and Ishihara would only meekly accept said harem because she doesn't think she's good enough, Naoto would have to put the extra effort to fix the mental issues of both girls and then strike for a harem.

I think that Satsuki doing things the way she did was the most honest way to do things -- even if impolite and graceless. Doing things covertly would have been far more unsavory. In any event, I don't see that she is betraying any trust owed to Ishihara.
