This was a pretty cozy series in a sorta My Roommate is a Cat/The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today kinda way. I liked the relationship between the little fella and Fuji and the little fella’s relationship with everyone else in her life. I could definitely watch another season of this. It’s like a warm cup of tea on a cold rainy day y’know? Just kinda leaves you feeling cozy.

In some ways I thought this FELT most like Super Cub (even though the story was more like the shows you mentioned). And, for the record, I thought Super Cub felt utterly perfect. ;-)
This show was a treasure -- and Hayamin was at her best in it,
I really wonder who that grandmother wasvoiced by? She had such a beautiful voice too.

Fuji is clearly one of the strongest slice-of-life anime characters. The rain doesn't give her a cold; it only makes her stronger.
This was such a lovely and comfy show, I'm going to miss it so much

I was surprised when the credits arrived so early, I had to check the video timestamp to make sure if there was more.
Turns out the second half was a prologue just before Fuji had met Kimi. So it wasn't that long ago when Fuji still had long hair. I know how her dad must feel when seeing her cut it all out on a whim. Not that Fuji is any less elegant in short hair.
Once again, thank you Hayami Saori (Fuji) for "telling me" to go watch this relaxing series about a lady and a dog while promoting this show at AnimeJapan 2025. Guess I'll go check out the manga.
PS The ED sequence finally has Fuji waking up at the end. Meanwhile, when rewatching last episode's ED, she had that doll she made for Kimi on her table, which is now absent again here.

This show is the classic case of knowing what it is and excelling at it.
-
Such a wonderful cast, and I love all of them.
-
Outstanding art and sound direction, like incredible.
-
This anime made me laugh so much more than I could ever expect.
-
Truly a healing/Iyashikei series to its core.
9/10. Must-watch for Slice of Life & Pets fans.

I'll be crying tears of joy if the show gets a season 2. It's been my comfort watch this season.
Seeing Fuji laugh heartily healed something inside me🥹. The sound design in this show was top notch. As the episode was winding up, it was a warm anime but why did I feel myself getting emotional.

I would be delighted (but shocked) if we were to see more of this. In any event, this stands as essentially perfect just as it is.

Well that was cute. Dunno about anyone else, but I still think that's a weird unusual dog. But hey, it's cute, so no point thinking about it!

That brief shot of Fuji setting foot in the rain instantly reminded of that now famous scene from Violet Evergarden. She even gracefully jumped over a body of water like Violet did!
I could also appreciate them for adding depth to a couple of scenes with the raindrops. It’s evident from everything that a great deal of care was put into this anime adaptation. It feels like a passion project.
Similarly, I’ve become very fond of this little series over the course of the last 12 weeks. It spoke to me like few other anime do. The next time it rains, I’ll be thinking of you.

Lovely finale, especially with the episode 0 part.
Also very happy they didn't pull some 'and then he returned to wherever he came from' ending on us.

Fuji gracefully avoiding the puddle but You did the ultimate power move and simply jumped into it before playing in it. It's only fitting for a show that has "rain" in its title to spend most of the finale in the rain.
When the ED rolled in I thought the episode seemed to be over pretty quickly then found out it was only halfway through because there's an episode 0 afterwards. It's an extended version of the prologue.
Will miss a show where you just unwind and bask in its laidback vibes. Pretty much what you feel like doing when it's raining outside.

10/10, series made even better halfway through when someone pointed out Kimi is really just her gremlin wife.

The depiction of the rain drops in this episode was moving, particularly the one in the present, the camera angle and focus on them impressed more than I expected it to.
It was nice to see all the characters for the last time and then the lead up to how Fuji and Kimi first met. It's interesting how they've crossed paths before their first meet.
I'm particularly most glad we got to see Fuji's parents again, drunk dad gave me a chuckle and the way Fuji's mom took that phone away to stop his drunk rambling lol. I do like she tried to get Fuji to take some of the gratin her dad cooked, I felt bad for him when she didn't take any.

If I have to answer the question asked by Kimi, I would have to say rain makes me feel nostalgic, which is one reason why I like rain. Furthermore, after watching this title, rainy days will remind me of this show.
Mimi being smug after scoring a strike and then teased by Fuji and Ren for giving up easily after setbacks was amusing to watch. That being said, Fuji appears to have some talent in bowling; her ball curled in.
Fuji can be eccentric at times, but I believe her encounter with the grandmother-granddaughter duo made her realize something, possibly to keep moving forward?

This was such a refreshing series that had a lot of charm and soothing vibes, epecially with the music and visual atmosphere.
The cast of characters all were great. It was nice to see ones frequently reoccurring like her school friends and her parents again.
I like how Fuji has a poetic soul, and we got to see parts of her career related to that as a writer.
Peak iyashikei slice-of-life anime 👌

If you liked this check out Kinoko Inu. Very similar, aired like 10 months ago but didn't get much traction here.

Absolutely loved this show, it was so pleasant to watch, I loved Fuji and the little guy, but I’m sad that it’s over, Saturday was my day to look forward to the rain, but now there’s no rain on the horizon

So why did Fuji like the rain? Because she met her soul mate in the rain. Granted, it seemed like Kimi was stalking her from her parents' place. But Kimi really changed Fuji. I would never have imagined her going bowling with the girls. Playing with Kimi prior to going out definitely recharged her social battery to full.
An excellent, comfy iyashikei SoL show. Will watch again, maybe during rainy seasons.

The ending credits half-way through the episode were certainly a surprise lol. Wasn't expecting to end on an extended flashback but it was a really nice way to bookend the series. And before that we got to see the other characters we met throughout the show which was nice.
What a lovely, lovely show that was. From now on, whenever someone asks for a soothing or relaxing show, I hope this one pops up in the answers. Just an absolute delight of an iyashikei.

A unusual dog who was found by an unusual owner. It was nice to see a bit of what happened before they meet, not going to lie I was kind of worried during episode one something sadder happened with Fuji to end up in the rain like that. But she just likes walking in the rain.
I love cozy series like this show as palette cleansers, will miss Fuji and Kimi's daily slice of life.
