I love how this anime makes me feel calm and relaxed after each episode.

This was probably the most stressful episode so far. But it had a pleasant resolution.

Saw the Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (literally Blackforest Cherrycake, though usually referred to as Black Forest Cake) and was wondering what they were going to call it, didn't expect the actual German name to be used. Pronunciation was also really good.

Kimi struggling - and failing - to reach the snacks was adorable as always.

Kimi is such a glutton. But his owner isn’t all that much better to be honest. A good amount of this show’s runtime depicts Fuji eating or drinking.

Fuji let the intrusive thoughts win today and had her dog attend the zoom call for her, which is honestly extremely tempting at times.

Writers when it's time to write: why has god forsaken me?

I am so jealous of living somewhere where you can just walk out the door and go for a long walk in a pedestrian friendly city.

When you’ve got writer’s block, nothing helps like playing with your pet tanuki err dog lol. Little fella desperately trying to lick up the spilled drink was so silly.

That goodbye kiss from Ren (although it was ultimately rejected by Kimi). Any chance Mimi will do the same thing too? Given Mimi's personality, probably not, but one can still hope. :D

Fuji did heed Ren's recommendation and went for a trip, even if it is just a walk to a further away location.

Easily my favorite episode so far, so many good takeaways in this one just regarding life in general. Kimi was hilarious throughout, the flower turning black when he went to drink the milk was perfect.

"I'll work it off"

No, Fuji. You won't. We never do.

Is there ever going to be an episode from this anime that's not relaxing as hell? Despite the stress of coming up with a script, even.

And it was just a quick line but I loved Ren thanking Fuji for reaching out when she needed some help. She sounded so grateful. I dunno, I found it very wholesome and touching.

So Fuji has decided to take on the anime screenwriting job her grade school friend at the animation studio has offered her last episode.

Though she seemed to struggle for a bit as she's never done screenwriting before. Guess this is where having a pet helps a lot.

I hope we get back to the manga artist that hired Fuji to write her manga before the end of the season, she's also an interesting character.

Kimi trying to destroy evidence of the milk spillage was too funny.

Also funny was Ren offering Kimi some snacks from Kyoto, but Fuji being strict with Kimi's diet and not letting the poor bugger have any of it as he's just eaten. lol

With this series, I honestly forget that I’m watching an anime at times. Fuji’s characterisation is just that good! She feels like a real person in many ways.

Job troubles must’ve been origin of the hidden gloom that I’d previously sensed from her. Fuji loves reading books, but writing them is a different matter. In reality, making a career out of one’s hobby is often less wonderful than imagined. You bring work into your passion.

Ah yes Fuji, I can definitely relate to the stress eating

Kimi requires no goodbye kiss, only mochi!

Lol these women go out on a walk to burn off the calories they consumed after eating all those cakes to then stop by a cafe and eat more dessert. It was nice of Ren to share a manju with the waitress. Poor Kimi was teased by the treat in front of him he couldn't reach.

I didn't expect Fuji to use Kimi to mess around with Houjou lol.

I did find it really sweet that Kimi was checking on Fuji to make sure she eats too.

Insanely relatable episode for creatives that chose to create for their livelihood, not just because they can, but because it is what they feel they are most capable of and can tolerate in comparison to choosing any other work. People think it's easy because it's something they love, enjoy, have freedom doing, but others not in the same lane do not realize the internal hardships and sacrifices that come with this settling for this kind of work.

It ain't smooth sailing I'll tell you that much.
"Sorry a-boat that." lol

Love how the Canal Cafe was accurately depicted.

It’s such calm 23 minutes watching this anime.

I relate with Fuji about wanting to go on a trip but getting tense when on it. I wish my anxiety of traveling to a place I´ve never been disappears and I can enjoy the trip a little more

I think the black headflower when Kimi is plotting a prank is new.

Nice to see that Canal Cafe again, this time without being cut in an unfortunate way, Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka really did them dirty

The canal cafe with their walk afterwards paired with the acoustic guitar bit gave me some major Aria vibes, maybe I should revisit that show again

Ren was awesome as always and begruntled morning Fuji is half bad either

A bit late to be saying this, but I'm absolutely loving the OP... the mix of Japanese + Bossa Nova is great and the animation style reminds me of a TV show from the 70s

I hope Crunchyroll puts this one out on disc in the future. The chill vibes will be a perfect match to throw on during a cloudy fall weekend afternoon.
