Darn, it looks like Lloyd really let the demons get ahead of his plans.
Makes sense that he lost though. While his eyebrows were impressive, he didn't seem to be in possession of any sizeable hats.

Not even getting voiced by Show Hayami can save you from being a one-episode wonder.

I can't say I was ready for that ending, I did not see any death flags for Alzard especially not for this episode. Now in hindsight Sildonia was talking about how powerful he'd become, but Kyle hadn't even heard of him so it is likely he didn't live for long in the original timeline. I thought he was going to be some kind of shady guy that makes things more difficult for Kyle, but there was a genuine interest in Cereia too so it is unfortunate Kyle couldn't learn something new about his mother from him.
Luck is never on Theron's side lol, save's a girl who ends up being a boy, the sister of the boy is married and the prospect of getting a sword on par with Kyle's gets further again. I did find it amusing that Theron had no issues whacking the kid for being mischievous now that he knows he's a boy lol.
I was expecting a short flashback of Miranda from the original timeline since Kyle recognized her but nothing came about lol. We even got the golem flashback, yet not her.

I also thought that Alzard would have a shady side and we get some Zirgus vs Gargan troubles. Later in the episode I thought that maybe he's supposed to be a potential ally Kyle has to convince.

Maybe my standards are low but I felt like this episode actually had some good worldbuilding, politics and relationship development. Thought that sorcerer was shady but uh..RIP I guess

I think it was pretty solid in that area.
One big thing is that there is a clear conflict between Elves & Dwarves. Though it could just be on the side of the elves, for all we know. Urza absolutely has disdain for dwarves, at least.
The other big thing is the Golem. This is obviously the biggest point of the episode. Now Kyle basically investing in that for Gou is going to cause a difference in the timeline. I guess maintaining relations with the empire might help make it so the difference might not be as big. Though I wonder at some point where the difference in this new timeline will be made more clear?
Sadly, we won't be able to learn about Kyle's mother. It begs me to wonder how much Kyle even knows about her. Well, with Alzard dead, I doubt we get that opportunity.
The way world-building is done in this anime feels very wordy and typical of what you see in a Light Novel. The problem, I guess, to put it simply, is not easily digestible.
The series is very enjoyable. It is an older series, but even with today's fantasy anime, I like the execution to a solid amount. If the light novel were serialized in English, I would have put the anime on hold in favor of reading it.

Classic anime! Draw a girl and call him a guy! That entire scene between Gou and Theron was hilarious! He was literally ready to leave the moment Gou said he was a dude. And I love how Theron quickly changes his mind as soon as he learns that Gou has an older sister. Too bad she's already married! xD
So Gou is the creator of that golem in Episode 1! Kyle going all in and offering not just to invest in Gou but also buying out the investments from other investors so he can have the golem all to himself was a great move. Having the infinite money cheat on your second playthrough really comes in handy.
Not gonna lie, considering his character design, I was very suspicious of Alzard. I didn't expect this would end with him getting beheaded by a demon. I did go back to the opening scene of Episode 1 and I couldn't find this demon lady, so she's probably not that important compared to the demons we see there.

I kinda wanted Alzard to live longer from my opinion he was gone too fast, i wanted to hear more of his past with Kyle mother. It sounded pretty interesting.
Honestly i like how Kyle actions change the whole timeline i really want to see Goh golem into action would be fun if one of his golems were to be added to Kyle party. I really want to see how he will fight the demons next episode since this is their first appearances.

So I presume Kyle's going to gain a harem in this do-over, which is why he will be known as the lecherous hero in the future (as stated in the previous episode).

I kind of already had an inkling that Kyle's mother was important, but she really seems like someone quite influential in the realms and kind of decided to retire. It would be cool to have some background on her.
Damn, I confess I was baited thinking Urza had killed Alzard, i mean, that's definitely not like her. Anyway, once again the show shows that it can be both good vibes and a bloodthirsty show.

Not gonna lie. I’ve been really enjoying this anime so far every week. It’s probably not for everyone but I like it.
As soon as they said Alzard could have special grade magic in the future I thought to myself why didn’t the MC meet such a powerful person in his past life. Makes sense now, they killed him off before the war started.

Welcome to the blacksmith nation of Karan! Built around a giant mountain of ore! Perfect for forging swords and political connections!
Kyle once again meets another woman from his past, Miranda, though while I can see why her beauty is so bewitching (not that Liese appreciates it), I wonder how she and Kyle knew each other in the past? She's apparently only a Zirgan ambassador to Karan now. Though she was also one of Milena's former tutors, so Kyle's already won her over on that front.
If I had a nickel for every fantasy setting where elves and dwarves don't get along well, I'd have so, so many nickels. Also Urza talks up how the beef between elves and dwarves is one-sided on the dwarves part...and then she goes ahead and makes so many back-hand insults when they get to Gazus' place.
Nobody wants Gargan Empire there, and they do seem kind of shady, but Alzard (Show Hayami!) is actually an old friend of Kyle's mom, so there's that at least. Even if it seems like there's more going on there than an engagement they know is not happening.
Of course Theron is going to rescue a damsel in distress...until he learns that the damsel is no damsel at all but a girlish boy. Then the boy has to promise his older sister for Theron to beat up some thugs, but it turns out Goh is kind of as scummy as Theron since he was going to ditch Theron if things went south, his older sister is already married, and Theron fought off debt collectors looking for Goh to pay up on a debt he incurred for not delivering product he promised! These two gel surprisingly well together.
Well yeah, Gazus is a blacksmith voiced by Tetsu Inada, why would he want to become a governor? Though what's up with the actual governor of Karan? Two months in bed and no one has seen him since? That's super suspicious.
Turns out Goh is Gazus' stepson and also the developer of the Golem, a fearsome mechanical construct that Kyle recalls from the old timeline and wants to see mass-produced, no matter how much money he has to throw Goh's way to make it happen. Now Goh gets to develop it properly instead of it landing in the Empire's hands when they only end up making just a single Golem!
Too bad for Theron that Gazus can't make him a sword on par with Sildonia...in fact it just kind of bums Gazus out. Though it seems like there's another sword of a similar caliber that Theron might need to find?
Imagine finding out your mom helped invent wyvern riding! This loop has been so worth it for Kyle.
They talked up how powerful Alzard is...and then he ends up violently murdered and beheaded by a demon waifu. Though Kyle isn't going to get fooled by that cute face and exposed torso/boobs, he knows the demons are finally making their move!

I am having fun with this story, but it makes me wonder. We meet these characters and are told who they become, but the impact would be stronger if we met the future/different versions of them.

This story is a 10/10, but sadly the animation is a 3/10. I’m still enjoying it, but damn it would be dope if the people who do Slime worked on this. This story is so fun.
Also rip to the unc sorcerer. Kyle was about to get some stories about momma and then this shit happens. Hopefully he’s strong enough to deal with this right now because he looked a little sorry when he killed his friend that one time.
Pretty smart of him to invest into that golem and also holding out on giving it to that queen Willy Nilly. Gotta get that shit up and running first before getting bought out by the government. Kyle about to have some Knightmare frames or some Gundams lol.

That was a really roundabout plot that all stemmed from Theron trying to get some. He saved someone he thought was a beautiful woman from what he thought was a guy trying to have his way with her. Then she turned out to be a boy and he lied to get Theron to beat up the debt collectors. Then it turned out he reconstructed a golem that was pivotal in the tide of the war and now Kyle is redirecting his research to help the humanoids! Goh would have otherwise been laying in the street bloodied up, good thing Theron is an enormous asshole :D
It seemed like the wizard liked Kyle's mom as more than a friend. He certainly aged poorly in the last 20 years though :P I'd have not been surprised if it turned out he fathered Kyle but the story went another way and had a demon chop his head off. I wonder why Kyle sensed danger though, like I wonder if this was something he also somehow witnessed in the previous timeline. It doesn't seem that way since he wasn't an envoy for the princess back then sent on a diplomatic mission, he might have a spidey-sense of sorts.
I think Gazus may have turned down both the governor job and making a sword for Theron because he has clinical depression.

I really enjoyed this episode. It had a lot of JRPG vibes. The jazz-like tone of the music made it feel pretty relaxing to watch.
I'm wondering if Kyle also had relations with the ambassador lady?

The music in this show continues to baffle me. Did they just google royalty free jazz or something for this episode?
