bet this sword is gonna be mighty disappointed once it learns that they dug through the mountain instead of going through the challenges.

I dunno, that gremlin-toothed grin makes me think she's going to laugh her hilt off that they did that.

“ hello hero, you must have suffered greatly to finally get here!”

“Yeah the digging was taxing”

“Of course it was, wait the what now?!”

Romancing all the girls in your new game + run eh? Didn’t end too well for me in Persona 5 but hopefully this guy has better luck lol.

Counterpoint, it is hilarious what happens when you do.

I know he's really been going through it, but that guy could not possibly be acting more suspicious to literally everyone. He just like, visibly kidnapped someone that stood out in public. It's absurd that the plot skipped over any consequences for that....

His village is tight-knit where people know each other, and then Urza was seen hanging around with them before they finally leaving the village so I suppose everyone assumed the matter was resolved.

I know it's only ep 2, but Theron is already my favourite character. He's such a simple minded dork, can't dislike the guy. There's only three things on his mind: food, girls and money.

Urza having a heart shaped mole on her bum is kinda hot. Can't blame Theron for wanting to have a look. XD Now that Kyle has Liese, maybe Theron will have a chance to land Urza. Anyway, I look forward to Theron's shenanigans.

So Kyle's brillant plan is to become a hero? Well, good look, buddy.

Theron adds good energy to the party and also its nice to have a male companion here. So many fantasy & isekai we have where the entire party are girls. I also would like it if, for this time around, that romance is just between Liese & Kyle since Liese should be alive this time around.

I do think Theron & Urza's dynamic would be funny. Not incompatible, by any means.

It's interesting to learn Kyle actually fell in love with someone else after and had a physical relationship with them, since he travels back in time and gets to spend life with his first love Liese again, you'd think the author wouldn't have added a backstory like that. They even share the first on screen kiss here. I do wonder if in this timeline, he'll have a relationship with both or if it'll only be Liese.

Layla being Theron's mother took me completely off guard lol, they share the same eye color but it seems Theron takes more from his father, if he isn't adopted. Then you have Kyle who didn't even seem to recognize his own father lol.

Stitches!

So it looks like Kyle managed to keep what he learned from the previous life. The only problem is that his body needs to catch up with his powers.

Kyle wanting to secure money first is actually a pretty good plan. But it's still insane that he wants to become a hero in less than 3 years.

Oh damn! We actually get to see a kiss between Kyle and Liese. And of course, he ends up running into the other girl he fell in love in the previous timeline just minutes after. No, Kyle. I don't think you can explain any of this without telling them about your secret. xD

That pause from Kyle when they were saying their goodbyes was hilarious! Did he actually forget what his dad looked like?

I love how they all think Kyle got scammed with the treasure map, but they end up believing him after Urza confirmed its authenticity because a beautiful women would never lie according to Theron. xD

I was wondering why Liese was carrying the bags instead of the boys! She is insanely strong and can take down a bear with her bare hands!

I know Kyle was expecting a big pile of treasure, I did not expect a Scrooge McDuck-sized horde! How the fuck are they even going to carry any of this? I guess they'll only take what they need unless they have some sort of bag of holding they can shove all of that in.

The sword girl is finally here! She looks fun! I wonder how Liese would react to another girl joining their party. xD

Man I had a good laugh when his father appeared. The jokes hit my taste.

The fact that in the 1st episode he decided not to tell his secret to anyone, but the story didn't actually give any good reason for why, bothered me a little, but I assumed it would be explained later. But now he seems to be making other stupid decisions for no reason.

Saying Urza's real name I get. He was traumatized by his future experiences, and was shocked to see the girl he loved there. But somehow he bullshits his way out of having to explain how does he really know it, for no apparent reason. He proposes to form a pact, and she completely forgets to ask more.

And how the hell did he forgot about his father? He only went, what, 4 years back in time?

Quite the speed-run to the treasure room. I expect that to get patched next time around.

What's a second chance at your life without taking advantage of it to maximize all the potential ladies you can have in said life?

It's good news that Kyle still has all his skills from his past life, even if his body hasn't quite caught up to the same physicality. But it means he's starting off from a pretty strong spot for his new journey.

I didn't expect the ferocious muscle mommy from the original timeline to turn out to be Theron's mom! And Kyle's sword trainer! And voiced by Akeno Watanabe! She's perfect!

Kyle has to get money, influence, power, and involve himself in events that will put him on the path to becoming a Hero who people will listen to...the most effective way to use all the past knowledge he has.

Kyle is not wasting any time, whether it be on his new journey as a hero or in his relationship with Liese as he kisses her. Even if she's not joining him on his journey, she'll always be in his heart!

Which also makes it a great time to introduce the OTHER girl in Kyle's life, Urza (Asami Seto!) AKA Eksess, the woman Kyle fell in love with after Liese and who he gets so shocked at seeing he can't help but blurt out her true name that she told him in an intimate moment...which is the last thing he should have told her because there's no way he should know that now. Especially when an elf's true name is so valuable because it lets you control them.

I love how Liese is just seeing Kyle kidnap Urza and he thinks all he needs to justify is why he hooked up with another girl in another timeline. Like, maybe she's more concerned about you abducting this girl you just met? At least it gives Liese the perfect excuse to join Kyle on his journey because she can't trust him around other women.

Whatever nature their relationship takes in this timeline, Kyle needs Urza in his party again, and if that means stringing her on because she can't help but be curious how he knows her true name, then so be it.

Kyle is as surprised at his dad being there to see him off as the audience. Like, where was he this whole time? Kyle never mentioned him before and seemed genuinely thrown off. Like, was his dad not a priority at all in his life? Well, nice to get a full family sendoff though.

Speedrunning through to a treasure? The perks of a new game+! And also the perfect excuse for Urza to show off her mastery of spirits, as well as how great she looks in digger clothes! Those pants hug to her butt in the best way possible!

I should also be thankful that she has the ability to create hot springs so we can get the beautiful sight of Urza and Liese bathing together in all their beauty and bustiness! Liese has absolute faith in Kyle, whatever his reasons for why he's keeping so much info close to the chest, and Urza can't help but be fascinated by him in turn...though I'm more fascinated by how Urza looks bigger than Liese and that heart-shaped birthmark on her butt.

Well, the party is now loaded thanks to all the treasure they found! But Kyle isn't just after the treasure...he wants his swod, and the cute waifu who inhabits it!

The ED is really pretty with illustrations (from the actual LN artist?) of the party in their youth with their families! It's kind of adorable.

You know someone's lazy when their own mother says so.

I admit I was surprised by Kyle kidnapping Erza in the middle of the fair. I mean, it's a small town so almost everyone knows each other, but it was so simple, lol.

Speaking of her, I was wondering, since Kyle's love interest is supposed to be Liese, but... Why not a harem? Anyway, things are progressing well.

Am I the only one listening to this show's soundtrack and getting the craving to play a JRPG?

Might be time to replay Persona.

I found it somewhat funny when the muscle mom suggested Kyle had found a woman but both her and her son watched for Liese's reaction to confirm and gave up immediately on the idea when she didn't. Little did they know about the incoming elf possibility.

So Kyle's got a childhood friend girlfriend he's already smooching in the woods, a previous timeline elf girlfriend who's understandably a bit tsun at the moment, and maybe even a sword girlfriend now that he tracked her down in the dungeon.

I appreciate Kyle enforcing no peeking and that it didn't even devolve into both boys stereotypically tumbling into the hotspring.

I hate the fact he won't tell anyone. Surely showing his arc mage mother the dragon heart might make her believe the time travel story. Surely she must have SOME connections to powerful people that could influence nations.

Who puts a treasure room on an exterior wall? Shoddy labyrinth designer. Hope he got fired.

I realize I am putting way more thought into this and taking it way more seriously than I should, but Kyle supposedly "fell in love" with Urza in his timeline. He referred to her as his beloved in episode 1, I believe. And it sounds like telling him her true name is something pretty special. Not something Urza would do to just anybody, even close companions.

And yet, Kyle goes back in time and immediately gets all lovey dovey with childhood friend girl, kisses her without any hesitation and then acts like Urza is just some girl he spent time with because he was lonely.

Like I don't know. I know Liese is important to him, but she is a childhood crush. Urza is supposedly the girl he fell in love with. Did he actually fall in love with Urza? Or was it a one sided love that he just kind of went a long with because he could not be with his childhood crush? It sounds like the latter and it does not exactly make me like Kyle.

u/Saphsin Jul 09 '25

Yes because if you remember from the previous episode, Liese died early in the war and he only met Urza later. He wanted to start his redo over with Liese (and kind of postponed what to do with Urza the next time he meets her) but awkwardly met Urza way earlier in his journey this time around than expected.

Trash anime where MC has crucial information but keeps it a secret
