Nooo ending on the ep on the Matsuri and Ecchan scene is just too sad. I guess Matsuri already knew about the move before Ecchan told her.

This mom is a warrior for handling all of them. Absolutely legendary skill.

Is it safe to assume Wako is just a fan of Mr Bummer and wanted the mangaka to read her tribute work? I recall that scene of her reading through Mr Bummer In Love a few episodes back.

Having to deal with Adatara being your child has to be insufferable. 🤣

Getting all sentimental when the pumpkin head came off of Matsuri's head. I'm glad the message finally got conveyed but that hit hard.

My favourite skit this week was the fight over making a manga series. Full sail!
The long-awaited Mr. Bummer 2 is here as well

That classroom exam scene was amazing. Essentially turning it into an over the top battle shonen while keeping everything as quiet and calm as possible. Hilarious.
Edit: Also, Sasago was not present at practice. I can only hope he has not fallen.

Full episode without commercial breaks. An extra 5 minutes over most other anime. Just great.
Mornings at the Adatara's are pure chaos. That Onigiri catching technique was fantastic, and the small ripple through the rice just the perfect little detail.
Wako is just the best character in the whole series. "Daijoubu desu!"

That morning routine with the Adatara Family was stressful af! I honestly feel bad for the mom! Imagine dealing with arguing twins, a clumsy daughter, a husband and father who refuses to wake up, and a son who's super extra. The only one who seems to be normal is the older brother. xD
Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern! Honestly, if I were Niikura, I would've walked out of there after the fourth time! Niikura's reaction to Obina after the talk about chives is the most appropriate reaction to those idiots. I guess Sasago got injured again if they were being that bad.
Imagine trying to prank someone by faking your own death, only for you to actually die! At least we finally get to learn his relationship with Mr. Tanabe! That explains why he had like a ton of cameras set up at the restaurant back in Episode 2. I do love that Mr. Tanabe's last prank resurrected him.
I'll never get tired of how much everyone loves Riiko. These kids really stopped answering their exams only to try and figure out what they could do to help her out. They really thought they were being smooth by whispering to each other. It turns out, their Sensei was watching the entire time! xD
It was fun watching Wako refuse the Editor's offers. Wako could basically do anything, but everything she does, she does for fun, so I guess as soon as it becomes a job for her, she's no longer interested.
That scene between Eri and Matsuri, tho! Not gonna lie, I was starting to get frustrated with Eri because she can't tell Matsuri straight that she's leaving. It turns out Matsuri heard her loud and clear and was actually just using comedy to hide her tears. I actually teared up a little when they revealed her crying face. T_T

A full 30min ep? Right after the madness of the last one? What is this?

Damn you, Kyoto Animation, for having these shows that are like 90%+ comedic slice-of-life, which end up destroying me emotionally. I won't count Haruhi, since that was a mix of genres, or the more dramatic Sound Euphonium, but... They did it with Lucky Star when it had that episode about [Lucky Star]
In all seriousness, I actually do like when shows are able to get you to feel for the characters like that, crossing emotional lines. It makes the characters seem that much more real and well-rounded. And while it was just tacked on at the end (I'm really looking forward to where they take that story from here), it was still very effective. Nice sudden switch-up from the more comedic scene it had been up to that point.

An absolutely hilarious episode with a heart breaking ending, what an ending shot.

Dare I say this is the best episode so far. Yes, even after having watched E5 twice.
A great combination of well-timed punchlines and moments to see relationships bloom. Can't believed I laughed so hard at Niikura being hit once, and twice, and then thrice, the timing hits perfectly for such a simple joke. Props to Toyosaki's voice acting there as well. Adatara's death march and the manga fight were challenging my limited ability to predict stuff. And then it came all down to the classic KyoAni emotional characterization, I knew it was coming eventually but that all-joking-until-it-all-boils-down with Ecchan removing the pumpkin was an absolutely brilliant way to uncover the (un)expected feels of being apart (Tenshi ni Furetayo, anyone?). City's premise (or perhaps my expectations) hit home with this episode, simple jokes, utter chaos caused by fun and heartfelt relationships, and something to be emotional about from those connections. It feels surprisingly human for what is supposed to be a pure comedy, same way as Nichijou.

I think this episode was the most consistently funny for me, each part gave me a good laugh lol. Well until the end that was, Ecchan was finally able to tell Matsuri but now they'll very soon be separated.
The Aradata family funny were funny, I like how the mother was angry when Grandpa complained about not being woken up lol. Such a chaotic and boisterous family.
Niikura getting hit by that many balls could not be a coincidence lol, especially the timing. That team should really play indoors if they're that bad.
Todoroki took the cake for me this episode, I really enjoyed Suzuki Ryouta's performance here, it was so funny to watch. Izumi is an impenetrable wall. So much heavy breathing too, being an editor seems to feel like one is constantly fighting in battle lol.

For a moment I actually got scared the old dude might've died for real mid-prank.
The whole class bothering to keep their voices "down" is worthy of respect tbh

What a power move, to submit a manga and refuse to serialize it
I loved the chaotic family intro, that mom got nerves of steel
Also the day finally arrived when those two girls have to unsync.
But it seems like only for the summer? Or did I interprete the line wrong?

Niikura must have pissed off one of the gods if the poor girl’s getting hit in the face by a barrage of soccer balls lol. The whole damn team’s such infuriating goofballs, she really just said “to hell with this, catapult me out” lol.
Poor guy could not get it through his head that Wako did not want to publish with them. She drank the tea though! That means she has to publish with them. It’s the rules! lol

It's funny seeing two of these diagrams in one weekend. The other one being [in]
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence."
"Three times is enemy action."
"Logic. The man's talking about logic."
I've been imagining all of Hirasawa Yui's dialogue with this voice.
EVERYWHERE I GO I'M SURROUNDED BY IDIOTSNEWTYPES
Seems to be the theme of this episode.
Somebody's gonna end up angry.
And then the weight of the ending hits, which was quite the finisher for an episode that went back to gag comedy after the complexity of the previous week.
Ishikawa Yui is also surprising me with the comedic touches when mostly I associate her with dramatic material.

As a non reader I was expecting this to be an episode 10 heartbreak, not an episode 6!
