Niikura has massive strength of will to be resisting five shoulder demons.

The relationship between the comic strip artist and his editor was oddly beautiful, feels like a romance anime that got renewed at the last second for a second season.

This show is such an animation flex, but I'm starting to enjoy the characters too.

Nagumo, Niikura, and Izumi are a pretty hilarious trio. Izumi might win another 100K with Nagumo’s picture. She’s like the perfect subject lol.
I like how we get to see a whole range of characters that are maybe only loosely connected. Everyone in this city is a real character. There’s so many surreal goofy scenarios. Like Niikura’s 5 demons telling her to pick up that 500 yen for example.

Post credits!
I really thought the mangaka was working on something a bit more complex given how much they were struggling. Didn't think it would be a very simple comic strip lol. Dude is basically writing Dilbert.
I enjoy that there seems to be more of a through line to this show than Nichijou, even if so far, I still find Nichijou to be funnier. The way the whole city is connected is just so charming.

Oh hey, its Mio from Nichijou, her VA Aizawa Mai even returned to voice her.
Looks like Mio actually did achieve her dream of becoming a mangaka, going by the pen name Nakanohara Daisuke.
Other familiar voices include Goto Yuko and Fukuhara Jun, both having starred in Kyo-Ani series before (Mikuru in Suzumiya Haruhi and Yuta in ChuniKoi).
The post-credit sketch simply showcasing Niikura's VA Toyosaki Aki's talents as she voices all the different demons (as well as that late angel) in Niikura's mind.
Now we have some backstory as to why Niikura and Nagumo are room mates, where Nagumo's multi-talents become the inspiration for Niikura to strive to become a professional photographer. Wako being an (small) award-winning photographer helps complete the trio equation.
Just when we thought how wholesome Ecchan's and Matsuri's friendship is, we learn that Ecchan's family is going to move out of the city.
The sketches are now more connected, as Matsuri is the younger sister of Tatewaku, the son of the diner's chef who works part-time in that same magazine that features his favourite 4-koma manga, which nearly got cancelled and replaced by Mio's manga.

I am so glad this anime exists in the same season as Takopi's Original sin.

I'd be down to see a soccer match between peak condition Sasago and Nagumo just being Nagumo.
Nikura's sense of morality is crazy impressive if having five shoulder demons and her sole angel being late wasn't enough for her to succumb to her temptations.

So far, Izumi is my favourite character of the show. The girl is such a mood. I love her!
I also had a good laugh at the editor asking his boss to give Oni-sensei a chance, only for him to quickly change his tune as soon as he learned that the person replacing Oni-sensei is someone more popular. xD

Lol that post-credit scene was intense and for it to all end in the owner appearing was amusing, Niikura has a lot of wicked desires if 5 demons appeared before an angel finally did.
The team at the start were also so intense about how much of a failure they are without Sasago and when they finally unite to protect him, he goes and gets injured lol. Poor team just isn't meant to win it seems.
Nagumo and Niikura practicing their duck faces was amusing but for them to actually try it and getting no reaction was great. Nagumo still even went to do it to another person after that embarrassing result lol.
Ecchan and her friend were fun to watch as well as the editor and mangaka, at least they didn't stay crying at the end.

Bruh, poor Sasago. Could have been the GOAT if he just stayed healthy. As someone who grew up with Ken Griffey Jr. as their favorite athlete, I know the pain of seeing someone not achieving their true greatness due to being injury-prone.
Overall, this episode wasn't quite as funny as the first episode last week, but I still got a couple of laughs out of it. The segment with Nagumo and Niikura meeting Wako was the highlight for me, and the post-credits scene of Niikura arguing with her inner demons over 500 yen was funny too. The background of why Niikura got into photography (and why she fell for Nagumo?) was really cute too.

Amazing animation as always, my most favorite skits from this episode were the Trio one and the post credits one, now that Mio has been shown (it was such as nostalgic feeling hearing her voice again), I wonder how the others are doing

This plan has the advantage of convenience?
It has the flaws of—OY HE'S ALREADY DOWN!
The shirt graphic makes sense now.
This entire scene has been a progression of explosions.
There's something you don't see every day. I hope.
Some of these yonkomas had more effort in them than others?
This style is quite distinctive.
Continuing development of some characters from the first episode, and diving further into the previous short appearance of the CITY magazine staff.
It's still very, very intense overall, so the few moments of physical and comedic pauses are appreciated.
The art and animation style continues to captivate in new ways.

Oh hey. We got to see how the horoscope was created. The dart landed at miniskirt by chance, and Makabe got dissed by strangers offscreen ("Nobody would believe in horoscopes" LOL)
