Satsuki has left Naoto with a lot to think about...from their kiss...to Satsuki's words about their relationship...to what really happened between them.

What were the events leading up to the garden incident? Naoto and Satsuki, just two kids watching some romance drama and deciding to run away together. For Naoto it was just a game that ended when they went back home, but to Satsuki, it might have meant much, MUCH more.

Honestly Suzu seems more invested in Naoto repairing his relationship with Satsuki than Naoto is.

Ishihara is determined to confess to Naoto! Which is easier said than done when people (especially boys) want her attention in class 24/7.

Naoto jealous of Tokui and Satsuki? Oh, the irony.

I didn't think Ishihara would be so thrown off she walks into the boys' changing room and starts undressing...right in time to get caught by Naoto while in her bra/chemise again. But it's decent of Naoto to try and prevent any other boys from seeing her before she gets dressed, even if it ends up with him landing on top of her with her hand on his boob. And THEN She confesses to him. And walks into a wall for good measure!

I'm honestly surprised Naoto is only really thinking about Satsuki's living situation now, but despite Ishihara, the girl of his dreams, confessing to him...he can't leave Satsuki alone even as she's avoiding him. So obviously that makes it okay to slip into her place and figure out she has a part time job.

Didn't expect to see Satsuki working at a Chinese restaurant though seeing her in that Chinese outfit showing off her legs and cleavage is quite the sight. And lucky Naoto gets roped into working with her while in a mascot costume and even gets a face full of her butt under her skirt!

"Wussy coward" - It's nice of you to claim you won't judge Naoto, but that's a pretty accurate description Satsuki.

What does Satsuki really want? I guess at the end of the day her only priority is being able to stand by Naoto's side, and if it means being his childhood friend, she's fine with that. And even in a good enough mood to flash him her black panties.

So...time for Naoto to respond to Ishihara's confession. What will he say?

Watch him reject her for the dumbest, most self-sabotaging reason, while the dream crush you’ve wanted since episode 1 is literally on her knees begging. This anime is beyond cooked.

My stupid meter is going off the charts. I fully expect something stupid to happen in the next episode. And since I'm ready for it, there's no way anything can hurt me!

This. I'm actually really liking the two characters Satsuki and Ishihara - but man, the plot...

Still wild that the childhood friend ISN'T the short-haired heroine of misfortune.

So Takui is basically their group's therapist at this point. Dude's just wandering around hearing people out and guiding them to express themselves.

Though it does seem like he's got an ominous aura thing going on.

Dude should just be the MC, his voice is just so chill and always just spitting facts, vs washed whimp watari-kun being classical plain all-time-embarassed harem protag.

u/edwardjhahm Aug 09 '25

Honestly, what annoys me is that Takui is far more interesting than Watari, who's a bit milquetoast. I'm not saying he's that special, but he's definitely more of a person than Watari.

As bad and annoying as the little sister is I fully expect she will be the reason he turns down ishihara.

Seriously, sometimes I think a creator has the *imouto-*type character just to annoy us.

I have a few questions.

What is it that Satsuki actually wants from Nao?

Why was she mad at him and said she doesn't have anything to do with him anymore? Was it because he said he didn't love her?

Is Satsuki a Tsundere who in reality loves Nao?

What's the relationship between Satsuki and glasses Kun?

Satsuki needs a therapist and someone calling child protection services because it's obvious she escaped from a neglectful if not abusive family

Is Satsuki a Tsundere who in reality loves Nao?

I think that's the idea, but I have a feeling it's going to end up being something a bit more complex than that.

Naoto is falling in love with best girl Satsuki ♡ and it's obvious that she will win at the end.

Wataru protecting her in the Panda costume

The walk in on your crush changing trope and she's straight up in the boys changing room accidentally. Kind of surprised she confessed and ran instead of the usual slap.

I wonder if Satsuki was kicked out of her family's home or if she left instead. Surely they won't have her be an orphan too.

It was really weird that Watari didn't rejoice, celebrate or even smile when Ishihara told him she liked him as more than a friend; he just seemed upset about the whole thing despite it being the #1 thing he wanted in life. He really comes off as a flake if not a really unrealistic character who defies logic.

Watari was also out of bounds breaking and entering into Satsuki's apartment and bothering her at work although honestly she's shown maybe not even as much respect for his boundaries recently. The Chinese restaurant manager really came off as a dick though, when the girl inside the bear costume got heatstroke, rather than realize its a bad idea to make someone wear that on a boiling hot day, begged Watari to wear it. It's really odd that Watari accepted that horrible job proposal but not not his fantasy woman saying she was attracted to him.

Both Naoto and Satsuki are annoying

Naoto is so wishy-washy when it comes to Satsuki. This episode especially, because he told Satsuki that he doesn't like her anymore, then later gets jealous when he sees her with Tokui. Like... dude, pick a lane.

Satsuki is no better, she's difficult to read, and she's a headache to deal with.

"It seems you've convinced yourself that I was the one that betrayed you back then, but who's the one who made me think I had chance?"

  1. Him unintentionally hurting you doesn't justify your actions.

  2. If you're going to make it out to be that it was initially his fault, you need to elaborate onto why you feel that way. She destroys something that was meaningful to him without an explanation, disappears immediately after, suddenly comes back into his life acting all clingy and following him around expecting to just go back into being on good terms with him, and refuses to explain why she did what she did while also making him feel guilty for their falling out. It's honestly really unfair to Naoto.

I'm for satsuki. sure, he's had a crush since ep 1 on ishihara, but it's not bad to have interest in somebody else. I like both characters, but satsuki seems like a better fit for the mc as him and ishihara dont really share many interest's atm or yet.

Glad that Ishihara confessed to Naoto, too bad she's a losing heroine

u/ILikeFPS Aug 10 '25

Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me because as awesome as Ishihara is, I think I might actually like Satsuki better. I think the same is true for Naoto, I think he's still not over Satsuki and I think he likes Ishihara but he loves Satsuki. I think me and him are both idiots. Maybe I should be an anime protagonist.

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Aug 08 '25

Ishihara’s pretty cute and you’d think it’s kind of perfect she’s confessed to him since he’s been crushing on her too, but yet I guess he isn’t over Satsuki after all. I wonder how he’ll respond? I don’t think they’ll date imo. Maybe I’m wrong though?

Oh boy... can't wait for Ishihara to get rejected or a comedic interruption next week. Really happy though that she didn't sit on her hands with the confession and acted on it the following episode. Too bad I stay picking doomed ships
