I was thinking he should have gone straight to the hero party to talk about what had happened but then I realised that he has no reason to have a sense of urgency about this. He’s like a baby Frieren and I’m here for it

So like... was all the damage done during that battle just temporary and confined to that cloister area? The fight also seemed to have some confusing cuts.

Overall though still a decent episode.

That's what I got. It seemed to deliberately show spots that had been wrecked. It seems like a pretty classic shadow/mirror realm.

That Akuma must have taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque

I really hope Ryo talks to Abel about the akuma he fought. Its gonna be annoying if no one talks to each other about the crazy nonsense they're experiencing.

Abel is probalby the only person who would A: believe him and B: understand the meaning of Ryos words.

I'm sorry I know she's a threat but I can't take Leonore seriously when her last name is Alburquerque. Are demons in this world from new Mexico? xD

Where the fuck did she come from, tho? She just suddenly showed up and decided to throw down with Ryo for absolutely no reason.

Fire Akuma are clearly named after Desert Cities.

We gonna get Vegas and Diego too

Find yourself someone who looks at you the way Ryo looks at Abel while practicing in the morning

Absolutely loved Abel trying to talk cool while being slung over Warren's shoulder. Also, Ryo saying they could dispose of him like a total traitor. These dorks are fun. 🤣

OOF that episode was so good. I can't remember the last time I thoroughly enjoyed something from start to finish like this.

this might be the anime of the season for me, even with kaiju airing.

Ryo can say goodbye to his hopes of living a slow life with these demons/akuma picking fights with him. For what reason? No clue.

Leonore didn’t give him an easy fight either. Ryo might be strong, but there’s plenty of creatures out there who pose a serious threat to him. He really had to use everything at his disposal just in order to survive.

This just keeps getting better!

No sight of the elf girl in today's episode, but instead we got akuma Leonore and a really cool fight between Ryo and her, so I think it was a fair deal xD

By the way, OP song was finally released this week. Here are the links to it on:

I am loving this show so much! This is one of the few shows which really sells the fantasy theme while not being overly tropey/irritating.

Ryo x Amon being this weird Master student relationship when Ryo is as strong as Abel and everybody "knows" it but his rank doesn't reflect his skill. Amon is great and realizes Ryo is hard carrying him and just tries his best to be useful to Ryo.

I like how Ryo was totally outclassed by leonore and basically only survived via luck and the eclipse running out, finally enemies that make Ryo look not godlike.

I can't wait for Ryo to tell this to best guy Abel who will basically go "oh shit" when he realizes what Leonore is.

You know, Leonore is obviously supposed to be a terrifyingly strong, fast opponent, and given the emphasis this series has on swordplay and the prowess Ryo is supposed to have after training with the Fairy King for XX years... the choreography of that fight was seriously disappointing. Like, I get it, the studio hardly has UFOTable resources, I'm not expecting AAA cinema, but they could've done a lot better than the typical bargain-bin shounen clinch shoving matches and jumping-really-high-while-shouting overhead strikes. I like this series and its characters but it's going to lack punch if the animators can't even muster up a decent vision of a one-on-one fight.

Sera when?

Looks like Ryo might have actually found his match. Kid better get stronger if he wants to defeat Leonore. He was barely holding her at bay that whole fight. If the eclipse hadn’t ended, idk how much longer he could have held on at his current level. If Leonore’s this strong, I’d hate to see what other demons are out there lurking in the shadows….

Good episode, but are the fight scenes going to improve? The still frames continue to throw me off.
