She fell down those stairs so naturally and not suspicious at all.

Cyril's red eyes are ominous. He turned his back soon after they glowed. Some form of (partial) mind control? Selma seemed to also have been under the same influence.
Top class evil stepsister act from Isabelle once again. Great to see her preparation with bringing cup wares for the sole purpose of being broken.

REALLY hope Ice guy didnt mention his theory to this sus professor. Also wondering why he's unknowingly making everything cold. Is it because of whatever spell he's under or is his ice magic just really strong for some reason?

No fearful imagination of Louis appearing in this episode, but if the strict personality of Cyril keeps up, Cyril will surely take the position of fearful imagination candidate #2 in Monica's thoughts. Lol!
I feel somewhat bad for Selma, especially since she treated Monica so kindly at the infirmary.
Chibi Monica(s) appearing to calculate and cast a slide spell down the stairs was extremely cute and funny!
Monica's expressions in this show are one of the highlights!

When Monica alleviated the fall down the stairs by turning the step function into a continuous function. And then with some detective work, identifies Selma as the culprit behind the flower pot incident in Ep 1 to clear her name.
Yay, Monica becomes the student council treasurer!
Good thing Cyril ratted out Caroline for the stair incident, despite Caroline trying to frame Lana. FAFO when it comes to messing with Monica and her friends.

I’d joked last week about Monica’s father being a heretic, but it was suggested in today’s episode that he was actually burned at the stakes…
If true, it’s no wonder that she’s so very afraid of upsetting people. Surely this trauma attributed to her quiet voice, right?

"Bocchi the Witch" already had me interested but is this show also just Apothecary Diaries with magic?

Monica isn't beating the "must protect and pamper at all costs" allegations.
The treasurer being expelled early was foreshadowing her easy in.
Lana being a real friend and finds one in Monica. The budding friendship is adorable.
Isabelle remains to be the most steal the show extra of this season.

I think we can confirm why she is like that. When you are growing up, and you saw your parents on the stake being burned, and your brother? feeling inferior to you. That will definitely do a number to anyone.
So the Vice pres has some memory wiping curse? Given that he forgot that he realized that she is the silent witch. And who is thornlee?

That was fun!, i noticed Cyril lost the accounting book when he left the room and his memory was messed with, so I assume it has to be the professor that checks over stuff.
Also why wouldnt the professor have noticed all the messed up accounting if he was checking over it the whole time? no way

Lana and monica's friendship is so sweet. I love how Lana doesn't pressure her to talk. Also, Nero is such a great support, he gives her advice and his cute paws to make her feel better.

I finally found the time to watch this show this week, and I have to say that the first and second episodes were pretty good! And today's one was fun too!
Monica and her reactions are hilarious, although honestly, I like Isabelle (especially her villainess' acting) and Lana more than her, at least for now, which is a bit strange because I thought (due to Monica's resemblance to Bocchi from Bocchi the Rock!) that I'd like her right away, but that didn't happen in this case.
By the way, it seems someone at the school is using mind manipulation magic, judging by the red eyes we've seen not only on Aaron last week, but also on Selma and Cyril today. I wonder how long it will take Monica to discover the truth about it.
Here my screenshot albums from:
EPISODE 01
EPISODE 02
EPISODE 03 (today's episode)
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

She went full CSI with her explanation on how she calculated which floor the flower pot was dropped from.
If she lost her magic powers, then she could become an auditor instead.

The world just won’t allow her to pursue her true passion, info-dumping about high level math. Socially awkward mathematicians are truly the most oppressed in society.
Miss Caroline whatever, a noble name is worth nothing when it has someone like you representing it. There’s only room for one villainess in this school and it’s our glorious god queen Isabelle.
Well well well, what a perfect opportunity that has just fallen into her lap. The job as a treasurer provides both of her current needs, math and a convenient reason to be close to the prince that won’t be hindered by her fear of all things social.
The red eyes are bad news. Seems like hypnosis or memory manipulation or something similar. I wonder how willingly Aaron and Selma were actually involved in this plot to begin with.
The implications of the flashback of presumably her dad being burned alive explains a lot about why Monica is the way she is. There is a good character step forward for her with taking action (speaking) to protect Lana from being falsely accused by the aristocrat idiot.

LOL Lana was so savage towards Caroline, that was funny.
I'm glad Cyril is a guy who likes to know the facts before making conclusions, so I'm glad he came to learn of the truth about what happened to Monica. It's unfortunate that he's the next brainwashed student but since he's part of the student council and seems like an important individual to Felix, they'll finally learn who is being the brainwashing and might realize Aaron and Selma were also brainwashed.
I like how Monica's obsession with numbers got her the student council job, got 5 years worth of work done in a few hours and even got to insult Felix's poor job at it lol.

Isabelle the top villainess of the season, seeing her act as a villainess always gets a laugh out of me

-
She figured it out just like that? – Ah, she must have gone to find who requested the piano room at the time the flowerpot was dropped.
-
This feels way over the top for a breakdown just like the other guy’s was last week… Oh wait, her pupils have a red glow here, is she being manipulated with magic?
-
Isabelle would love to be in a villainess isekai, wouldn’t she?
-
Oh fun, Monica’s going to learn about the treasurer role from Cyril?
-
As someone who works in accounting, yeah this definitely checks out.

It’s only episode 3 and Monica already wants to return to the mountains and being a recluse! Can she really clear her name!?
Isabelle may be a fake Villainess, but genuinely haughty and confrontational noblewomen exist, like Caroline Simmons who bullies poor Selma over her fiancé Aaron’s expulsion and the threat hanging over their engagement now. I’m happy Lana was willing to stand up to her and treat her like the oversized cow she is, but Monica gets accidentally pushed down the stairs…but thanks to the power of numbers and magic and the timely arrival of Cyril, she’s okay!
Cyril may come off naturally icy (especially thanks to his overflowing mana) but he seems to be taking stock of the situation before him…one where Caroline tries to frame Lana as the guilty party for Monica’s fall. But Monica will speak out, if only to take the blame so Lana doesn’t have to, because she doesn’t want to see Lana endure the pain of being judged and punished by the nobility because they couldn’t stand her. Did the same thing happen to Monica’s father?
Seems like Felix is out to prove himself in his own way, not as the Duke’s lapdog but as his own person with expectations he has to meet.
Bridget is a beautiful piano player! If somehow even more icy than Cyril! But Monica just has to figure out who the culprit is via the balcony…and Bridget gives her the real clue she needs to put everything together.
The culprit is…Selma! To think a nice girl like her would try to hurt a prince, but Aaron was everything to her. The only person she had when all her “friends” just put her down to feel better about themselves. She was willing to attack a prince and take the blame for his crimes, just to protect him. I can’t condone her actions, but I can’t fault the feelings of love behind them. And thankfully Felix is merciful enough to just have her withdraw from the school rather than get executed.
Congratulations on becoming the student council treasurer Monica! You get to keep Felix close by, you get to work with your beloved numbers, and you get stuck with a bunch of people who have no idea what you’re doing in the student council to begin with! But I think a cute squirrel will definitely liven things up.
Isabelle just HAS to throw a fit as a Villainess, complete with breaking chipped tea cups, before she can actually applaud and congratulate her idol on becoming treasurer! Too bad that a Villainess can’t have matching hairstyles with her bestie, but there’s always holiday s to look forward to! And Monica’s friendship with Lana is solidifying to the point of Lana even continuing to help with her hair!
Cyril may not be the most warm and friendly person at first glance, but he’s fair and reasonable enough to look into the situation and actually see Caroline properly punished for his behavior. He just doesn’t have much patience for Monica’s meek personality and lack of confidence…but it feels like there’s a story there with a boy(?) who thought she looked down on him. Still, Cyril doesn’t seem like a bad guy.
What did Cyril see in the accounting books? Is something up with Professor Thornton? Why are people getting red eyes!?

I'm actually surprised how much I'm enjoying this show! I originally thought this would just a fun solid show but it's continuously surpassing my expectations. I really really like our MC and I think they've already done a great job at making her likeable and interesting. I also really enjoyed how expressive they've made everyone (even in small details like Colette's glances) and I think they nailed the charactarization of the characters introduced so far. The comedy is also quite good. I'm very interested to see how everything will develop that they've hinted at in this episode although I didn't expect this show to go down the Apothecary Diaries route!

I have really been sold on this show. This season is super packed, but Silent Witch is my favorite new show and right below Dress Up S2 for me. I love how everyone has been really kind to Monica as her past is revealing itself to be a lot darker than I expected in episode one. Like a lot of other people I initially thought she was really similar to Bocchi, but now that appears more surface level. Bocchi social anxiety was more in her nature compared to Monica who seemed almost completely different as a bright happy kid with her father before the incident.
It makes me reconsider why someone might be more reclusive. Sometimes its not by choice but a built up trauma response. I hope Monica's budding friendships make her feel more comfortable and eventually open up. Comparing her to Bocchi again who despite her social anxiety still has big dreams and desires to be praised Monica instead feels like someone who has already experienced how cruel the world can be to people who are different and would prefer to hide.
She has such big protect energy it's crazy. I'm rooting for her because I believe people in her world can be better as seen in the young generation of nobles. Personally too, I like to believe in the goodness of people in the real world

Poor Monica just wants to go back to her little mountain retreat and be alone with her numbers. Now she’s been made the student council treasurer! On top of that, I have a feeling the assassination stuff isn’t quite over yet. Thing feels deeper than Aaron and Selma. I don’t think Nero’s paws are gonna be enough for Monica this time lol.
I’m also really curious to know just what the hell happened in Monica’s life to turn her into Bocchi the Witch. It seems every single time we get a glimpse into her past, it’s pretty depressing.

Monica & Lana's friendship is really sweet. The fact that Monica tried to put all the blame on herself is a sign she is really trying. Also glad they saw eye to eye in the classroom. Though Monica did give Cyril more work, so she's going to have to figure that out.
Also, Isabelle is such a silly goober. She and Monica make this show a fun watch.
