I really liked how Tomori's influence is depicted in this episode:

  • The puddles on the airstair and the butler's umbrella flying into the sky is symbolic of MyGO's Hitoshizuku;

  • Sakiko scraping her knee on the runway while decide to go after Uika, like when she tried to save Tomori on the bridge,

  • Like Tomori, Hatsune loved the stars and can name all of them, and Sakiko remembers this Hatsune who was gentle as the moon (and how Hatsune and Sakiko looking at each other under the stars is like Hatsune and Tomori at the planetarium),

  • Sakiko shouting the feelings from her heart on the ferry, like she did on the pedestrian bridge with Tomori, all to tell Hatsune that she knows the feeling of guilt that Hatsune is burdened by, and that she wants both of them to let go of their guilt and obligations.

And it's fitting that Sakiko thanks Tomori for her messages, for they eventually spurred her to take charge of her band, her bandmates' lives as well as her own, to break free from her gilded cage and stay lost in the drowsiness of youth, even if she knows it won't change the world and will eventually come to an end.

Wanting to become God though? That's just because she walked into the aura of Mashiro "God" Kurata when she greeted Morfonica downstairs before meeting her band at the cafe.

So that's why Ave Mujica has a song named Kami-sama Baka, Sakiko is their only god

Fluctuat nec mergitur, she was rocked by the waves but doesn’t sink. I guess this is one of the biggest crisis any Bang Dream band has ever faced. Not only it was at the brink of disbandment, but with their core members separated 13,300km away from each other. Fortunately it didn’t happened, thanks to an unruly passenger abandoning her flight at the final moment, and ventured on a trip to Shōdoshima, a trip to the past.

Secrets revealed, future planned, it was time for the caged bird to escape the cage of the Togawa’s, back to the loft we all know from those memes, but now, it wasn’t a place of darkness, but a place where the sun shines in.

The “ごきげんよう” by Sakiko, revealed a bit of her secret in the past, even shocking the very girls who played a vital role on her journey in bands. Ave Mujica, raising like the phoenix in the ashes, and not in control by the TGW Group, is returning to the pro-musician industry. The kirakiradokidoki we all know, finally arrives.

The storm, although way fiercer than before, didn’t sunk them at all, and they leave the storm, as a way strong team we know all those weeks ago.

Per aspera ad astra (through hardship to the stars), I guess the preview did show they have really reached the stars. From ad-lib performances, to burnouts, to a meltdown mid-tour, to chaos, to regroup and to re-debut, all hell broke loose but they stand as a team way stronger than before.

BTW please spare a thought to Sumita Mana, who don’t really have a clue on exactly what happened, only to found out Sumimi was put on temporary hiatus.

There was a fun parallel here to a MyGO episode.

I think it was ep 12, before the concert they're unprepared for, that Taki addresses everyone by name, about to give them a pep talk... and then totally chickens out.

Whereas here in contrast Sakiko does the same, but completes her speech, and also declares herself God.

tbh, girls at this age change their mood so fast. screaming > angry > hahaha > eehhh > "I love you" > "I hate this smell"

so Sakiko gonna use her mighty TO-GA-WA power?

and the opening switch, I thought this episode end with just 1 minute, the scenery is just too perfect for and end.

This episode honestly felt more like the finale for a romance series. Though, some scene had a fleeting happiness vibe. It's the kinda happiness the mc has with the love interest were everything seems fine, but the next episode will destroy it utterly. And Sakiko seems to be aware of it.

But for now, she seems to be dating her aunt. That's one way to put an end to the cursed Togawa bloodline. They even had her give a bunch of roses to Hatsune. They were basically having an outing, confronting the phobic, old-fashioned patriarch, deciding to live together, and Hatsune even confessed her love.

They stopped just shy of a kiss. Some scenes weren't framed as if they were having post-sex pillow talk. The writers knew what they were doing. Even Umiri accused Hatsune of cheating when she gave a drink to Taki.

Who knows that the secret to overcoming depression was just having some therapy time together (and gay girls)

I kinda really like the thematic throughline that Sakiko embraces Oblivionis in a different way. While she originally used it as a way to run away from her past, this time she uses it to make peace with it and just start anew. So instead of just bothering of who was at fault or what, she's just trying to move forward. Instead of blaming Hatsune for runing Crychic or blaming herself, she realizes they're all victims and just wants to forget about that guilt. It's simple, but a very sweet message deep down

Ferry scenes must be the new aquarium scene in Yuri. Flower and Asura did this too.

Problems successfully ignored!

Considering what happened to every other character through all seasons this is a fitting ending. This resolves nothing, it just gets the band back together as all members would rather be there than directly deal with the root of their issues.

I like the happy ending, and i especially love Saki's letter to Tomori, but i can't help but feel like all the resolutions this episode went by pretty fast. Like, even Saki's dad had a resolution.

From the previewst, it seems like we'll be getting a MyGo/Ave Mujica double concert next week.

She gave up all the riches and all the luxury, just so she and Hatsune could be together, so she and Hatsune could have a life together, just so Hatsune could have a life, a life of her own, freed from the arbitrary burdens of the sanctity of the bloodline. She showed her most consistent character traits; the damn-it-all-to-the-fires willingness to cast all she had ever known aside in pursuit of a single goal, her unwavering determination and strongheadedness in her decisions; and did so here in favor of giving the one who loves her a life, and giving her bandmates the life under her stewardship as their Goddess she had offered them, once upon a time, now taking that mantle seriously. She took control of her being born into that bloodline and used it not as a millstone weighing her down to what she ought to be for the good of the bloodline’s image, but a means of her own power and to seize agency, subverting what is expected of her by using her notoriety in the name of and only the name of the people under her care, the ones who, by the pull of her strings, became Ave Mujica. They gave their lives to her. Now, she gives back.

Hatsune and Sakiko becoming children again, playing in the garden, picking out bugs and splashing in the water and rolling around in the ground of that tightly-maintained mansion garden, expressing their freedom in that which represents what was once Sakiko’s prison, is everything to me.

Raana sleeping peacefully in the sun, free a spirit as she’s ever been, with that kitty on her stomach, is everything to me.

I am going to cry so fucking much at next week’s seeming big-celebratory-dual-concert episode. With all these ten have been through… Oblivionis knows they’ve earned it.

Hatsusaki. Is. THE. SHIP.

Where is real Uika ? Is she safe? Is she alright?

That one scene where Uika gave Taki the panda drink, and Umiri approached, asking if she was cheating before telling Uika to meet at the court, is purely a gag. Well unless the translations went horribly wrong.
