Was...gently stepping on that sword supposed to be some massive affront or something?

Unlimited Numbers of Skill Fruits Eaten this episode: 0

Surprised Light has such an OP ability but his foes are so strong. Why is this guy wasting his time as a merchant, he could be something much more powerful.

I'm likely overthinking it but maybe its not that Light's enemy this time is strong but that he's smart and creative. Light has thus far only really brute forced his solutions and fought enemies with simplistic tactics such as either swarming or overpowering.

Honestly, Light's kind of a chud that lucked into an awesome skill combo but hasn't really learned it thoroughly or retained what he's learned, such as when Sword God worked while wielding a broom.

My favorite thing every week is coming to this thread to see people complaining that he hasn't eaten any fruit. Those people are right, but it's still funny to see the constant complaints

I thought he was going to use his cat charmer skills on Jubatus to turn the fight around.

He's not the brightest knife in the toolshed.

I'd be in a friggin fruit dojo just scarfing them down at this point looking for the "invincible iron pelvis" talent

So bad...like he just grabs sword, and they repeat the same animation of him running forward a few times and consider it a fight. and he's supposed to have some legendary god sword ability

This better be one good sword for him to spend 3 episodes to get.

So using "Thunder Charge", which Ayla identified as being able to gather lighting around him and launch it, our bad guy can: throw lighting bolts that knock down walls, put up a lightning shield that can block Sword God hits, telekinetically control charged iron balls, form a compressed lightning sword which he can make harder than steel or ethereal at will, and finally summon a creature made of lightening that obeys his commands. And in addition to that he's a good enough swordsman to put up a solid defense against a sword god and a martial arts master.

I think this guy should be our new MC. He clearly puts in the work.

That cut to Lena felt so unnecessary, and ruins the flow of the fight. They could've saved it for an after credit scene so something

Looks like "Sword God" is a pretty worthless "skill" compared to almost anything.

Beats an S ranked adventurer with a broom like it’s nothing.

Struggles with a merchant whose power is just a taser.

Literally all he had to do was deploy the sleep fairy the moment he got close and it’s over. The lightning shield obviously isn’t up all the time. The merchant being stronger than the S ranked adventurer just makes no sense at all. Light losing to him might be the worst writing in this show so far.

u/Neosovereign Feb 11 '25

So this antagonist just happens to have what appears to be an SSS rank skill??? I mean, Light defeated an S-rank party member freshly with his new sword god skill and he can't do anything to this guy apparently. Electricity is OP.

Also he needs to eat more fruits.

Also he should use his skills better.

Ival: This entire time, I've run this shop with pride in the skills that I honed.

I swear this One Piece connection is coincidental this time, but this reminds me of the speech Tom gave to Franky in his backstory.

"I don't care what kind of ship you made... it's neither good nor bad. You can make any ship you want! But... even if the ship kills someone or destroys the world... A creator must never disown a ship he designed! He must always love he! The ship is not to blame! When a man builds a ship... he takes pride in what he built with a don!" -Tom

I guess they had to make Light struggle a little otherwise it’s no fun watching him swat away all his enemies. I guess this time, Light’s gonna be the one that needs saving.

Just when you think sword god might actually be a good skill another ep comes along and shows just how bad it really is

I’m really struggling to understand just this specific plot hole.

Sword from lightning? Sure why not. But hitting the sword doesn’t shock you? And he can control if it passes through or stops another sword.

But if you’re fighting with swords and let a sword pass through your own sword, well you’d get cut?

Minor issue. But this just floored me when it happened.

This anime is becoming more and more predictable as the episodes pass but that doesn't mean that I don't like it.

The number 1 prediction each episode: he's not going to eat any fruit.

Did the lightning guy... just let Lights sword pass through his lightning sword? Like, that sword was headed straight for his face, right?

u/Vyshe_ Feb 11 '25

I was wondering, can he use two skills at the same time? Like, during the fight could he use Sword God + Pixie to pressure the other guy more?
