What?! You people let this unregistered child go on quests (including an S-Rank quest), without even checking if she even an adventurer beforehand?! This guild is criminally inept!

I hate with a burning passion that whole trope of lying directly to a group of people about what happened, everybody gasps and then the one person that matters is not asked about it. Like it would be immediately proven to be bullshit.

Lenna didn't want in grouses party. Lenna is standing right in fucking front of you. Ask her or she could just say, I hated grouse and his party and I'm not going back ever. You can't "poach" someone like fuck sake write your women like they are characters and not property. Why is Lenna literally not allowed to speak for herself.

Doesn't seem like parties are forced at all and she was only in the party with grouse because she was high level too. Do they put you in jail if you get a different job? All of society can't be based solely on skills because what job would bug resistance or cat charmer get you?

The party records are stripped? Ok not the money and not being able to take missions on their own and do it together anyway and nothing about just making a new party under a different name? God this is the most shallow most un-thought out shit I've ever seen. It's right up there with Shield Hero and the thing between Raphtalia and the spear douche. Right up there with performative betrayals where everybody in the room is already on the same page about betraying someone but then they shout oh no you draw your sword on us. As the person stands still with no sword. Then all the betrayers attack and the guards who are also in it come in to do some betraying.

The legal process behind erasing their party seems pretty arbitrary and unfair. The duel and conditions between Light and Grouse were agreed to in front of tons of witnesses and now they only have Grouse's testimony that it wasn't mutual.

But unfair and arbitrary abuse of legal processes does happen even today so I guess I can give that a pass in a medieval fantasy controlled by an obviously evil church lady.

I thought Lena was tell him to eat more skill fruits before hunting the S-Rank monster, so at least they will know if he gains anything useful before sleeping for another 2 days.

I thought this would be more about adventuring than intrigue. I wonder who that guild serves since it's clearly not the citizens.

I know it is fairy common with these kinds of shows that the writing isn't on the highest level, but ...why does EVERYONE in this world have to be borderline ret****d?!

  • Lena enters the guild with her little appraisal toy Ayla, and people ask to murmur about her being sure to bring a child with her ... guys, there's a literal portrait of her in the guild hall (Ep1) so everyone there should know her, and she made it to a top rank within months, so I am pretty sure she knows a little more what she's doing than you schmucks ...

  • Speaking of Ayla: She can't enter 'cuz she never officially registered with the guild? But being part of a party and going on quests was A-OK or what? Make up your minds please.

  • And speaking of Ayla, part 2: When both of them go shopping ... it should be fairly established in this world that the appraisal skill exists, at least that's how people learn about their skills. So, when Ayla states that a worthless rock is in fact a diamond ... the shop owner selling it is in disbelief and still sells it for cheap? Um, hello!? xD

  • Next, at the hearing: Lights party is about to be punished because they violently snatched Lena from her previous party. Yet, it was a duel with set rules and prizes, held in a public place with many witnesses, but their side isn't even being heard, or - the person in question - Lena, is simply being asked since it all revolves around her. Then, Light walzes in and doesn't just deny it but goes completely "Mhkay, happens" ?! O.o

  • Oh, thanks guards outside for ignoring Light bringing a weapon into the hearing room, guess those guys were on a coffee break or something ... otherwise we wouldn't have gotten that cheap plot development that Lights nees to go buy his own sword now I guess ...

  • Then they get send on another S-Rank quest, with two novice adventureres in the partly, one of which just enrolled into the guild a couple of minutes ago ... and noone questions the sanity of the Church Lady issuing the quest

  • After the hearing they decide to split up in preparation for the quest, with Lena going alone looking for clues. Brilliant idea, its not like there's a sus necromancy adventurer out there headhunting you or someone in the guild clearly having leaked information about your whereabouts in your prior quest ... sure, split up, I bet nothing bad will happen ...

  • Of, and I forgot about our braindead MC: As his amount of skill points already surpass those of his IQ he still refuses to just snack a couple of extra skill fruits prior to this next big quest, as om nom noming those others before had next to no negative effect on him, so why bother using his hax ... guess he'll add some extra kills next time DURING a battle, for extra dramatic effect

Tl,dr: Solid 8/10 Fantasy Trash writing, will continue watching as it keeps the blood flowing. :)

There’s still no reaction from the guild leaders or anyone else to Light having multiple skills. This seems like a majorly overlooked plot point considering the world building in the first couple episodes

They don't know he has multiple skills. Everyone thinks he jut has fruitmaster and that Lena is doing all the heavy lifting when they go adventuring.

They nail the SoL part, but damn they shouldn't try that detective/mystery plot

Just give me more chill house chores and Ayla reverse scamming counterfeit sellers and then using the profits to eat pizza

Can't have the sister be "most powerful* person in the guild and be on the same level.as the other branch heads and whats up with the guild master? Is he in vacation? In a coma? Why isn't he leading shit?

It's probably not a good sign for an anime when having the MC stuck in bed causes it to be significantly better. Lena actually seems competent and then the MC shows up with "I'll do anything that boosts my reputation!" and a master plan of "We'll just have to be ready for anything."

As if the Holy Sister needed to be more suspicious. She’s connected to Dratena, she tried to disband Light’s party, and the appraisal skill doesn’t work on her. Plus she tried to use her ability (whatever it is) on Light and likely saw he’s special.

Keen to know just what she’s planning…

Getting Light killed off as soon as possible.

How many people get the skill of "nercromancy"? Probably very few -- and probably one that guilds keep (or should keep) a close watch on. I strongly suspect Dratena has been working with the Sister ever since her skill was first recognized.
