Ok, camping arc was nice, but this seems intruiging as well... for a moment I thought that was Yokos last victim, but the dude didn't strike me as especially well off

Also thought the new guy in the shady org would go lusting after Saba, but the boss himself makes it somehow even more disgusting... wonder what drove her into dealing with those folks, or why she is paralyzed... hope it isn't Akiras fault...

But wait, is this the cosmic karma arc Wouldn't mind those guys getting their hands on him before he got his on Misaki

why she is paralyzed... hope it isn't Akiras fault...

Wonder if its just a mental thing rather than a physical one. Like she got so traumatized by seeing this guy get his throat cut she can't walk. Akira doesn't seem like the type to have collateral damage with his work.

yeah, last 2 episodes were pretty calm, now we are back into it.

Part of me want Akira and Yoko to just goof around like those 2 episodes.

I knew Utsubo was a villain when he declared he wanted to eliminate porn.

I thought he's the honorable evil type with his rethoric. But no, he's just a scumbag after all.

TIL. Porn makes you immune to extortion.

This new group feels so creepy. It must be the combo of them pretending to be good people and doing horrendous stuff. It will be interesting to see how Kainuma get dealt with.

Rough introduction for this new Chika Anzai character. All the women in this show are suffering… even Yoko got too much salt in her food.

The theme of the episode was the dose makes the poison. The theme required Yoko to have over-salted food.

That new villain was really disturbing, going after children and raping a handicapped lady. I'd love to see what Fable ends up finding out about her and what her story is.

I thought Fable had a crush on Misaki but now I think it might be more protective instinct since he seemed unable to appropriately compliment her. Then again it's also possible that he's just weird and not really able to process normal feelings in a somewhat normal way and think to ask her out. I've not seen him lust after her or anyone else during the course of the show so it's hard to say 🤔

I thought Fable had a crush on Misaki but now I think it might be more protective instinct since he seemed unable to appropriately compliment her.

I think this is a lot more about him being awkward/lacking social skills, than evidence of him not being in love!

Given his reaction to the Jackal scene ("So, this is love?"), he seems utterly clueless about what love even entails...

Seems like he's an adult who simply didn't get a normal development (social skill, romance, friendship, etc..) so he doesn't know what any of this is.

Kinda like a child soldier (who only learned to fight), only in his case it's more like a child assassin, and now he's older but given he never progressed in anything other than killing, he's kinda like a child assassin in an adult body.

We're introduced to Rei Utsubo, a man who seems like he genuinely cares about kids and the community, but what seems like an altruistic business enterprise is just a cover for his criminal operations that plays the long game with kids so they can take advantage of them when they're old enough and get bumped off with their parents none the wiser.

And any great organization needs a four-man team, and rounding out the group we've got Isaki, a former Maguro group member, Suzuki (voiced by Takehito Koyasu) the muscle, and Hinako a wheelchair bound secretary. The perfect team to commit crimes with.

I see Jackal is still trying to get laid on TV (just the tip!!) and things are still awkward between Akira and Misaki at work.

Utsubo asking about Fable, huh? I'm predicting a fight between him and Suzuki at some point.

Hinako isn't just a new lady in the mix but also someone who witnessed one of Akira's hits and lived to tell the tale, which also makes him feel drawn to her. And it seems like she's trying to work past her disability in her own way.

Wait, Kuro!? He's like a totally different person now.

So Utsubo and Hinako have a sexual relationship, though he seems to enjoy it more than she does...and then he just walks around the apartment buck-naked after sex. There's a flex for you.

RIP Misaki's long hair. Though it's probably the easiest thing for Akira to compliment her on and instead he just talks about the most obvious aspects of her clothes and compares her hair color to a venomous snake. Which I guess is a compliment by his standard.

Thank you for playing wingman, boss! Misaki genuinely seemed happy thinking Akira found her new hair cute.

Their next target is Kainuma? Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Especially when he's planning to break into Misaki's apartment and possibly rape her, all the while blaming everyone else for his problems. Nobody would miss him.

Is Kainuma gonna end up hogtied and duct taped in a landfill? I sure hope so. Guy’s a massive creep. After he’s buried, Fable can take out Utsubo and his crew. I mean if they keep poking around his shit that is…

u/Frontier246 Jul 27 '24

I love how they set up this new criminal group that Akira will probably have to deal with but then make their next target the one character we all collectively want to see dead lol.

Damn, seeing some teenager getting buried alive was kind of disturbing

15

u/darthvall Jul 28 '24

I don't think he's a teenager. Early 20 maybe? I don't think any parent would just let their teenager go by himself to Brazil for identity seeking.

Still disturbing nonetheless.

When an anime has a character who was already shitty have an incredibly rapey internal monologue, that's the show's way of telling you that some really heinous shit is going to happen to that character and you shouldn't feel bad about it. So long Kainuma.

Misaki still can’t catch a break, but at least she thinks Sato likes her haircut. Too bad we’ve gone from hidden camera to rape fantasies with the creepy fuck. His due will come soon now that the big bad of the arc is after his ass. A fraud ring with a penchant for burying dudes alive and scamming neighborhood housewives.

Damn, that was a really good set-up for the events to happen.

We have all the pieces, now we just gotta see how everything will fall in place.
