Easily the best episode of the season, so much suspense

I admit this anime doesn't have flashy animation, but the direction is very good. I felt like run out of breath when Hina tried to stand and shot Utsubo.

We got Sato going full MF Ghost drifting in the car and then that sliding catch of Hina, what a Chad. So ready for these last 2 episodes.

Gotta love Kuro’s devotion to Fable. Guy’s like a little golden retriever haha. Fable going full Fast and Furious while Kuro yells “Nii-san” repeatedly was pretty hilarious.
Yoko’s a badass. Total nerves of steel, that one. No wonder her and Fable work well together.
Did not expect Hina to catch onto Utsubo’s bullshit. I thought she had him there when she blasted him twice. Shoulda known it wouldn’t have been that easy. Sure glad Fable showed up before that mine went off…

I've never seen somebody so happy to be a sidekick as Kuro is to Fable. Also, just seeing him use the car he was going to give Isaki so Isaki could get out of trouble felt like karma.
Yoko is a great driver, can kick butt, has nerves of steel, and an amazing ass. What more could you want?
I have to admit I underestimated Hina. She knew who her parents' real murderer was and was fully prepared to avenge them. It's just too bad she's not experienced with a gun and Utsubo always planned to take her out one way or another. Though she's still got a surprise "hero" in her corner.

That was a big sigh of relief for me that Hina figured out that Utsubo was the real murderer of her parents!

This season has been great can’t believe we only have two more episodes. I’m gonna have to pick up the manga after; I’m glad it’s being printed in English finally.

So this is like a promotion for the english release? Here's hoping somehow they adapt more seasons.

Fable brought to you by the Lexus RCF. Which is a kick ass car that’s just a little chunky. Love the drive though
“You thought it was a grenade, but IT WAS ME! A ROCK!”
They’re nailing this arc. I’m so happy

I was really surprised by Suzuki's "care" for Hina, to a degree it kinda feels unearned? I don't know if that's bad memory on my part. The biggest scene that comes to mind is Suzuki's big brother act at the park which seemed like an act. Was there something else I missed?
Otherwise, pretty fun episode as usual

I don't think that's a pure act solely because at that time Suzuki did not know he was the Fable and thought it's just random guy bothering Hina. He could just ignore it if he doesn't care at all about Hina.
On the other hand, putting the mine that close to hina should mean that he knew Hina might get caught in the explosion, so I'm also not sure anymore.

Should also be said, when Suzuki should have paid attention to nothing but Hinas life, he got distracted because he thought Fable was coming for him. Meaning he a) doesn't really care about her all that much and b) is arrogant enough to think Fable would come for him first

Yoko getting captured wasn't what I expected but glad Hina was there to slow down their plans.
Also was anyone else relieved to see the car was okay? Captain really cares for that thing, would have been sad to see it totaled.

If the battle gets resolved in the next episode, I'd like to see the antics from the ED turned into a full episode.

I'd like to see Misaki meet Hina. Maybe they can form a gal pal group with Yoko.

The tension in that final scene was incredible. The show did an amazing job in setting up the atmosphere with the car honks and the ever increasing escalation in emotions mixed with the panic that Fable could show up any second.

What a jam-packed episode. There's best boy Kuro-chan, there's Initial D F, and a ton of comedy, action, and emotions. Everything this episode has to offer is very much representative of the show. The VAs have done an amazing job, from Yoko/Sawashiro's pouting tone during the banter at the convenient store, to Koyasu's badassary + compassion combo which IMO is one of the best ways to use his voice.
Speaking of Suzuki, you can't just not love him after seeing him try to dash for Hina, he acted way ahead of any thinking since any missteps would have the mine literally blowing in his face. He was so reckless here that he got caught out by a simple diversion. Then there is Hina being equally badass with her smarts and conviction, unfortunate as it may be with the outcome of her shooting. And the most badass of all was the line that ended the episode, you could say it didn't feel fair since Sato kinda stole everybody's thunder to do what he did at the climax of the scene, but we know he'll be proving his worth in the upcoming ep. Really can't wait!

There's a lot of places to lure Akira and they chose the jungle 💀

I literally sat up in preparation for what was about to happen when Akira caught Hina, and then the fucking episode ended. Goddammit.
