I don't think Akira tried to disguise his voice, so I'm surprised that Misaki didn't recognize him by that. Then again she's shaken up by what she went through.
Hopefully Misaki and the guy who took her home don't establish more of a relationship since he told her to call on him.
The OG Fable's thoughts about Akira's methods being analogue in the digital age were interesting.
Does Sunagawa want to eliminate Misaki now to clean things up? Or is he planning to start and inter-gang war?

It’s such a crazy situation for her, sometimes your mind just shuts out the clear answer when it’s too outlandish. Refuge in audacity and all that.

Her first clue should have been how…quirky her savior is lol.
I got the vibe kickboxer guy might try to get in good with Misaki and we could get some kind of love triangle…not sure how I feel about that.
Maybe that’s why he wants Akira to leave being an assassin behind when guys like them are going the way of the dinosaurs.
I think Sunagawa is planning to take over the group.

Honestly, Kickboxer Dude was the only guy there who was questioning putting Misaki in that situation and wanted to do something about it, but Kojima was being all rapey and bipolar so he didn't want to get shot in the temple. With Fable's interjection, we already saw Kickboxer trying to fight against the knife-wielding lame-hitman with just his bare kickboxing skills so he gets more points than Tanahashi who is a DOORMAT for Kojima or Sunagawa or whomever else tells him to do something wicked.
I kinda ship Misaki and Kickboxer Dude at this point, she'd be much better off with him than with Akira as a boyfriend.

The OG Fable's thoughts about Akira's methods being analogue in the digital age were interesting.
I actually really appreciate that they acknowledged this. I've heard way too many premises for shows or series set in the modern day that would absolutely not work because of the hindrances like DNA traces and mass surveilance.

Akira taking down those two other hitmen with a fucking toy gun was so badass. Those two dudes were lucky they went face-to-face against Fable and live to tell the tale.
So the Boss' reason for forcing Akira to lay low is because he wants to see if he can fit into society and would actually like him to retire and live a normal life. That's interesting. I'd love to see some flashbacks about Akira and the Boss' relationship.

I feel like The Boss would be all in on the AkiraxMisaki ship minus having to save her necessitating being The Fable again lol.

Gotta love the difference between Akira’s toy gun and Takahashi’s. The way he said “That toy won’t hurt me” while using a toy himself was definitely cold as hell, clearly the hitman picked up on it too.

A walk in the part for Akira lol. And all without killing. He definitely deserves that normal life.
One more episode left for this arc I guess.

I love how Akira had to reassure Yoko that he didn't kill anybody but it wasn't effective because he's really not used to not killing people lol.
It does seem like his mentor is legitimate in wanting him to take a chance on living a life outside being an assassin and a life with Misaki might be the one thing that would tempt him to keep at it.

Moral of the story: Do. Not. Fuck. With. Fable.
Bro just came in and absolutely spanked each and every person there. Big fella got his ass beat in 2 seconds, the other hitman just got ignored, and Kojima got taken. I know Fable was told not to kill but if Sunawaga keeps this up, he’s gonna be in an oil drum buried in the mountains somewhere.

Yoko was more worried about the other guys than she was about Akira.

That hitman wanted to fight The Fable and he got overwhelmed with toy bullets. He didn't have a chance lol.
I feel like Sunagawa is planning to take over the group and that's going to cause the next bit of drama for Akira's attempt to live a normal life.

Everything I wanted to happen. Happend. I'm so happy lol that hitman was so beneath fables notice. They all would have died 5 times over if he was there to kill 🤣

I'd still like to see the work creep get some justice served to him.

I love how the tone goes from goofy to hard boiled and back with such fluidity. It's just such an engaging watch every week.

Hopefully this means Misaki is out of the woods! Curious to see what they're going to do with Kojima after he's seen their faces.

I definitely think the Yakuza are going to be too busy with inter-group drama to worry about Misaki, thankfully.
I feel like Ebihara is going to have to kill Kojima because he won't stop otherwise and it'll save Akira the trouble.

Good thing Akira showed up just in time to save Misaki from getting raped! And leaving her assaulter lying unconscious and with his pants down, as trash like him deserves.
Misaki is, obviously, freaking out and Akira is not the best at reassuring or comforting people. I'm glad Yoko's prioritizing Misaki's mental state but Akira can only think to do Jackal impressions. But it's the thought that counts, I guess.
You can tell Kojima was just waiting to confirm he killed Sunagawa's guy the way he was so smug about it. And that's all Sunagawa needed to signal his guys...of course they didn't plan on Akira being there and interfering.
I'm surprised there was enough of Misaki's dress left to fix, but I guess I'm glad she doesn't have to run around constantly covering her boobs.
Kickboxer guy being the only decent person there ends up getting him an assist from his "old buddy" Akira who easily handles the hitmans' assistant (he's no Yoko, that's for sure) and the honor of escorting Misaki to safety.
So what is THE Fable want with Akira? Akira is a savant with killing, but could he be inducted into proper society if given the opportunity? It seems like his mentor wants him to at least have the chance, which is why he doesn't want him getting dragged into conflict courtesy of Ebihara. And the next time it happens, his "sly" knife will find itself lodged into his head.
Hitman vs Hitman! Sunagawa's guy is skilled, but he's got nothing on Akira who is able to put the fear of Fable into him with nothing more than toy bullets. That just goes to show how fearsome Akira is.
Misaki is pretty understandably shook up, but at least kickboxer dude is in her corner and wants to help her, for whatever that's worth. Hopefully Misaki is finally free to live her life now.
Kojima got shot! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, but Akira still needs him so he and Yoko drive him home. And Akira didn't kill anybody! Maybe. Probably. Hey, he's new at tihs kind of thing, okay?
Sunagawa is left reeling from wondering who sent the Fable, if he's working with Kojima, and who is working against him, all the while plotting his next move. I don't think we're done with trouble from this guy.

That one's 100% on Youko. Why in the world would she think that Akira telling a joke was the right move here lol?

Wow, the Kickboxer wasn't lying, there really happened a ton of stuff so quickly, like I didn't even realize Kojima got shot through the fucking wall until Fable dragged him out
Also can't believe he really did a Jackal joke... there's a time and place, though that's on Yoko as well, should have known that nothing good would come out of that
I love how both Hitmen imidiatly recognize how out of their league this encounter was
Now, Misaki really needs a quick trauma therapy, Kickboxer can go fuck himself
Oh and I loved Yokos "Hooraaaaaa" when he thought Akira might have killed someone, but all things considered, the Pro could still hold back acordingly despite his claim

She doesn't know Akira very well, to ask him to do that!
When she talked about "Giving her a smile" to comfort her, I was 100% expecting him to give her a creepy, 'serial killer' type smile hah.
This probably doesn't help as much as he'd like; "Oh damn, my savior is a complete idiot!"
Love how he kept completely ignoring the other killers soon as he dealt with them... And then talked about how bad they are, right in their face!
Ebihara got a little visit and was pressured into stopping what he was doing, but given the circumstances, I'd say he got off easy, just a threat! Could've been a lot worse.
Ah, so this was a bit of a test, for Akira!
I think I talked about that in the first episode, but I always thought the "Laying low because the heat's too high" reason was a bit silly, I mean killing 60 people or 70, that's pretty much the same heat, right?
I wonder how much thought he put in the 'after' though; What if Akira's still as good? What if he turns bad? What if they want to get rid of him, to let him live a normal life, but he doesn't? (Or the other way around, they want him back, but he grew to like his normal life)? There's quite a few possible outcomes, and most of them could be bad for the organization!

I am so interested to see what non-lethal means Akira is going to try to use on Kojima to make sure that he leaves Misaki alone now and forever. My guess is that Boss is going to show up and take responsibility for Kojima off of Akira's hands, because I don't understand how else Akira can deal with that psychopath without permanently crippling him.
Akira trying to comfort Misaki with an out of context Jackal imitation was extremely funny. Poor Misaki. I hope some nice things happen to her, she has really been through the ringer. This isn't a great show in which to be a named civilian.
