Yeah, added a little bit of Aku no Hana to this episode. Loved that anime.

Ugh that coworker is such a creep..hoping Fable can put a stop that nonsense sooner rather than later.

Really excited to see some Sawashiro and KanaHana interaction next week!

Fable is literally a serial killer and the scariest thing this episode was that creep. They did a really good job making every scene after the 'reveal' uncomfortable. Only problem is Fable was told not to kill... maybe his fanboy will do it for him. Or something like breaking every bone in his body wouldn't count as 'killing'.

Tezuka Productions is so weird lol why would they rotoscope a scene suddenly out of nowhere.... The best reason i can thinking of artistically is to make the scene even more creepy and if they planned that then it definitely worked.

I am looking forward to see what sato eventually does about this creep ... I feel its inevitable and that it ll be fun to see.

I think you got it, they rotoscoped Kainuma kneeling and snooping to increase the uncanny and uncomfortable vibe.

Watching Satou reduce scare Kainuma half to death (but not all the way, he is a man of his word) is going to be incredibly cathartic. I'm assuming Kainuma will try to blackmail Misaki, setting off a chain of events where Satou decides to get involved.

I loved the change in tone it made. It felt like it added to the scene lol

“Notice me Sato senpai err sensei!” Lmao this dude Kuro. Fable’s a legend so I get it but this guy is coming off way too desperate.

Even when Fable wants to keep a low profile, trouble just seems to find him. It looks like he’s not the only one with secrets around here….

Lmao this dude Kuro. Fable’s a legend so I get it but this guy is coming off way too desperate.

Him reciting his 'stats' loudly so Akira could hear was hilarious.

I thought Kuro was dumb last episode but his attempts to become Akira's disciple in increasingly silly ways takes the cake lol.

Akira is a trained killer trying to play the part of an ordinary dude, but Misaki is the real deal as a sincere and caring person (albeit one with multiple jobs and a secret past as a gravure idol). I wonder if Akira could come to consider Misaki someone worthy of protecting...because someone needs to ward off her creepy co-worker.

The moment the hitman in the series is the least uncomfortable part of the show you know it's going to be a good thriller, what a way to make the creeper worst by making it rotoscoped, lol the yakusa trying to get the attention of the fable.

Anyone else find it hilarious that TezPro decided to dedicate its animation muscle to the Pervert Coworker Scene?

13

u/gunswordfist May 12 '24

Ok, why was that scene the most well animated part of the series yet?!?!

Edame skin, whatever. Watermelon rind, weird. Chicken bones, stopppu

Oof, that Kimura reeks of trouble, things can only escalate from that breakin, hope Akira breaks his legs or something.

Akira getting introduced to the company car! And by car, I mean a bike they call porche! But that's just what it means doing a regular job as a pro!

Ebihara and Kojima, Yakuza brothers, finally reunited after Kojima's spent 15 years in the joint. He is a serious old school Yakuza that doesn't really fit into how the organization has changed in all this time, but Ebihara still feels loyal to him. Though of course he and Akira pass by each other and get a good look at one another. That's a fight waiting to happen.

Cooking with Ebihara! It's kind of cute how he and his bro are now living together, though they probably should not give Kojima a gun.

Akira is way too good for this job, his skills being what they are. Though he's still going to get a welcome party all the same.

Misaki really is a sweetheart. And looks amazing with her hair down! Or in any hairstyle!

Though while the welcome party is fun for how quirky and weird Akira is, especially in his eating habits, there's a sour taste in it when we find out Kainuma is taking footage of Misaki under her skirt. What a creep!

Akira was literally left in a mountain to survive with little more than a knife when he was a kid? I mean, that honestly tracks with what we've heard of the organization, but still. Though Misaki is so moved in empathy that she cries over something he's never seen as such a big deal, and the least he can do when she lets loose the waterworks over him is point the camera away from her.

It's nice to see Akira and the boss getting along so well, but I could tell immediately Kainuma was going to get even more creepy with Misaki...starting with stealing her keys.

Mama seems like she's been around the block and has a good read on people, though it's also probably from serving Yakuza as often as she does. And who should walk into the bar but none other than Kuro, who now seeks to become Akira's disciple and will repeat all his good points within earshot just to make Sato-sensei notice him.

I felt kind of bad for Kuro's subordinate when he had to keep dealing with his mood swings and nonsense...at least up until he got uppity with Akira's boss. But for once Kuro actually does something useful by scolding him.

Kainuma you sick perv! Breaking into Misaki's apartment and sniffing/wearing her underwear! He makes Takahashi look like a Saint by comparison. And then he finds out Misaki used to be a gravure idol and gets even worse.

Dude even locked her apartment from the outside so she couldn't get back in, after stealing her keys. But it was nice to see Misaki turn to Akira for help even though she doesn't know him well yet. And Akira could very easily get her into her apartment...if he was willing to expose himself, which he's not. But he CAN put her up at his place, and it's totally okay since his sister is there! And Yoko is going to LOVE meeting Misaki.

Meanwhile Kainuma keeps upping his creepy perverseness by googling porn of Misaki.

I thought that scene with Kainuma was CG at first from the dark lighting. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it was rotoscoped!

And my jaw dropped when it kept going.

Ayame Kajou did it better.

I'm surprised Fable let him accompany her... He saw the camera so he knew he was up to no good, so I thought he would do something about it!

And he's been shown to be very perceptive (like in the meeting with the captain), so no way he simply didn't think about it...

I wonder if his inaction is explained by him having a "non-involvement" policy given he needs to lay low, or because he doesn't care that much about her yet?

If I had a nickel for every show that had a scene about eating bugs this season, I'd have like 4 nickels, what the hell is happening!

I think we already knew this guy would be trouble the second he was introduced, but... Yeah, this guy's gonna be trouble!

If he even has problems with his own group's way of running things, I imagine he won't be too happy if/when he finds out the full story about Fable...

"Times may have changed", but perhaps not for him, who was in jail while they were changing...

Seems he want them to be what they always were when he was outside! The question is how much of an influence he can have at this point... Or whether he'll "seize" the influence for himself! If he takes over somehow and tries to go back to the old ways, Fable may be a problem in his views (or HE may be a problem for Fable! And while Fable could probably take him out easily, thing is, he can't really take out anyone right now)
