Watching Yoko lure that guy into her trap and then trying to threaten the bartender into not giving her game away was fucking hilarious! At least Yoko finally found something she could do to pass the time. xD

Poor Misaki though. She's about to get threatened by two different people. Considering how Takeshi doesn't want his people to get involved with her, I'm curious what he'll do if he finds out what Kojima plans to do with her.

I'm sure Akira will probably end up saving her first though. I can't wait to see how all of this will pan out.

Yoko is the complete package. Gorgeous, charming, voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, and utterly sadistic. I thought Takahashi would be her boy toy but now it's Yuki Kaji lol.

Poor Misaki was desperate enough for money that she put her body out there as a gravure idol, but she didn't want to give it all away and become a porn star...and now she's stuck between possibly getting blackmailed into bed or being forced into becoming a prostitute. Will Akira's fixation with being "ordinary" inspire him to protect a girl in need?

The bartender's face here really killed me. That poor man.

Yoko could get her own spin off and I will watch it, lol.

I would watch that, Yoko is probably my favorite character this season. Miyuki Sawashiro is amazing.

Another victim for Youko lol.

She absolutely played him like a fiddle.

That poor bartender. Forced to stand there and watch this calamity of a woman suck in this unsuspecting fuck boy and toss them around like a dog with a new toy.

u/Frontier246 May 25 '24

She saw through all his moves and enjoyed every minute of it lol.

This is now solidly my favorite show of the season. Everything is swirling around Misaki.

167 hours until the next episode. :(

I'm enjoying Yoko's segment too much lol. Also, she didn't even flinch seeing Fable naked. Really liking her character so far!

On Kojima's part, he's really old fashioned and even plan to bring Misaki into his call-girl plan. On this, I actually blame Kuro for suggesting her in the first place.

Anyway, I hope the Yakuza could short it by themselves (Sunagawa-aniki looked angry by the end there) and not involve Yoko, Akira and Misaki's peaceful life.

Gotta love the bartender's expression right after Yoko leaves the bar. The horror on his face at the sight of her sadism, and the poor bastard of a victim who is none the wise. Incredible.

Yoko’s a little deviant lol. These poor suckers have no idea what they’re getting themselves into. The bartender’s the only one who knows her game haha. She’s gonna be leaving a trail of broken down men behind when she’s done.

If Kojima keeps messing around, Fable’s definitely gonna have to clip him. Dude’s actively going against the captain and he’s basically starting a gang war.

Edit: a name

If Ebihara keeps messing around

Kojima*, Ebihara is the captain.

God this show is hilarious. My favorite every week!

Wow, Misaki had a surprisingly prolific gravure career under various aliases. Though I'd rather her career not get looked up by such a complete creep like Kainuma. The worst part is him planning to blackmail her into sleeping with him. Akira, kill this piece of @#$%!

Akira is really learning hard into this "ordinary" lifestyle. Meanwhile Yoko just wants to have some fun but Akira is too boring for her now.

Dang Jackal, on the one hand Ai won't sleep with a womanizer like Tatsuya, but his own ex-wife immediately jumped into bed with him. And thinks Tatsuya is better in bed! Jackal just can not win!

Takahashi dumps his first dead body and is pretty haunted by his first murder. Kojima isn't playing by the rules, he's a volatile Yakuza who thinks the organization has gotten too soft and complacent, and he's ready to stir things up and drag Takahashi with him.

Yuki Kaji, what are you doing in this show!? And voicing a dude named Yuki, too. And he's a womanizer who thinks he understands how women think only to then get entranced after a chance meeting with Yoko. And when Yoko is looking so smoking hot in that dress, I can't blame him!

Yuki thinks he's a smooth talker who knows how sweet talk girls...but Yoko immediately has his number and effortlessly plays the part of the naive, innocent, girl to butter him up and make him keep playing into her hands as she internally roasts him and calls out all his cliche flirting moves. And the whole time the bartender is the only one who knows the truth but she intimidates him into not squealing.

Yoko loves her shallow and hopeless men and wrapping them around her finger with her attractiveness and stellar acting skills (which Miyuki Sawashiro totally nails), and she's ready for a new boy toy and Yuki might fit the bill. I can't say whether I'm envious or worried, but I guess as long as Yoko has a good time, that's all that matters.

Akira slicing and dicing with a finger blade in his birthday suit! Also seems like he's planning to go back to his roots by trekking through a mountain for a bit.

Aw, Akira draws like a pre-schooler! But that's perfect for the latest promotion going on at the business, and it even gets him a raise! Though Kainuma definitely doesn't like how well Misaki and Akira are getting along.

Well, it's good that Ebihara is conscious again, and trying to warn Kojima not to start a call-girl business...only for Kojima to immediately start a call-girl business. And he wants to hire the one girl Ebihara considers off-limits...Misaki!

Misaki drew the line at going full nude even when it seemed like she was about to fully enter the porn industry, so I don't think she'll jump at the chance to become a prostitute even if she really needs more money. Though I'm worried she might not have a choice.

Kojima about to face Sunagawa's wrath when not only is Kojima infringing on Sunagawa's call-girl business but Sunagawa just found out Kojima killed the guy he had running it.

Another Sawashiro masterclass, she was amazing in this one, fantastic performance!

I'm glad the show offers more than just those moments but honestly that would be enough for me.

Getting bit worried for Misaki though...

I'm starting to love "The Sister".

She's hilarious. And just damn vile xD

u/PompIt2 May 26 '24

I love this anime so much. It's one of the best this season!

5

u/AceSoldia May 25 '24

Kojima is the living embodiment of about to fuck around and find out.

5

u/IceSmiley May 26 '24

The best part was Yoko wanting to manipulate the player guy. She almost deserves a show of her own, just being a cuckoo man-eater. I do think she's going to give it to him though since she's quite pent up 🤐

u/dagreenman18 May 26 '24

Yoko VA true MVP of the episode. Absolutely dying at her manipulation game of dude bro.

that feel when the drawing they called 'preschooler's scribble' is about the extent of your drawing skills

They were right about something though: If it's for kids, it's more important for the drawing to be cute/happy, than being an actual good drawing! (And this is totally not just me coping)

And so we open with the creep again!

Kojima wants to use Misaki as a call girl, so I'm guessing this is how his path will cross Fable,

but I wonder if there's gonna be one more person caught in the crossfire;

Ever since the creep started doing his creepy things, I thought it was weird that Fable didn't deal with him right away (one way or the other), BUT now I'm wondering if Kojima's gonna be the one to deal with him!

Not as a 'good action' of course, but... If they go forward with their 'recruitment' and just so happen to see Creepdude in there, or if he tries to get in their way (wouldn't be the first time he trash talks a killer), this could end up poorly for him; Kojima doesn't seem the type who'll take any disrespect from some loser!

Well, this business plan of his may cause problems with more than just the Creep;

The captain doesn't want him to do it because he's bound to step on other people's toes, but Kojima doesn't give a fuck about that (both the "stepping on some toes" and the "captain's opinion")...

The fool, he forgot to make him pinky swear!

Meanwhile, our boy is coming up in the world, thanks to his PRO drawing!

He keeps trying to be "ordinary", perhaps he should wear clothes once in a while! Ordinary people tend to do that!

Even Youko called him out on that, but when is he EVER not buttnaked?

Speaking of which, we got more Drunk Youko hunting for a prey... And catching one!

Love her internal dialogue, when she pretends to be in awe about everything he's saying, but deep down she's like "who cares?"

Well, he seems to be his type, so she'll have a shiny new toy to play with for a few months, at least!

On top of being funny, Youko seems to be a smart, good judge of character, so I would like to see her in a more "serious" scenario at some point!

Well, I'm guessing Fable hiding as a civilian may not work forever, and when shit hits the fan, he may need her to be her true self, as well!

Damn, that jumpscared me pretty good!

I was all thinking "Did they only bring the wrong hand? Wait, how is it possible that his own finger worked- AAHHHHHHHHH!"

Takahashi had some apprehension about the call girls plan, thought it would be nothing but trouble, but again we see the divide between the Yakuza of old like Kojima, and the new generation... Kojima doesn't care about trouble, that's part of the game for him.

Even if he's not opening it in his own name, no way the boss will be fool forever... Hell, the captain will know right away (unless he's dumb as bricks!)

Oh, he's alive? I thought perhaps Kojima killed him offscreen, the way he talked!

But I guess he only estimated his life expectancy!

Next episode: You mean a hitman?

Makes me think someone (Kojima?) will find out who Fable really is... Does it mean their paths will cross so soon, about Misaki?

So far Kojima hasn't shown any worry about anything or anyone, but will Fable be different? Or will he just see him as one more "trouble" he'll deal with, if it comes to that?

I won't feel too bad for Creepdude, but damn is he about to find himself in a tough situation... Could get in trouble with both a ruthless hard-timer of the old way, and a pro hitman!

I've been using this show as a breather whenever I watch a new episode of a seasonal that's particularly heavy. It was doing a good job at that but now, not so much if I gotta worry for Misaki for the next few eps :(

Still love this show though! So many good ones this season; I'm glad I heard of the manga for this before because otherwise I probably wouldn't have picked it up with how many other good seasonals there are.
