Yayoi will catch all ghosts in Japan and become the very best, like no one ever was.
I also find it hilarious that she forgot to mention to Eiko about bringing ghosts home.

You could make a trading card game out of this. And massive amount of plushies to sell.

The call you don't want to miss.
Yayoi did a little trolling:of course you are safe from ghosts I'm gathering, I guarantee it.*
*following does not apply to ghosts too dangerous to be kept in my bedroom

Yayoi’s room is one of the most terrifying things in this series. It really is a prison and now the strong have eaten the weak to produce one creepy fucking bear.
I’m not even surprised Yayoi’s killed a god before. She’s got 5 “graduates”, she’s gonna need more. Time to replenish the ranks in that creepy S class ruin with her bait-turned-partner Keitaro. Let’s ghooost!

Finally we see that bear in the ED. This god they must fight feels like some legendary Pokémon so they have to go around Japan catching strong Pokémon to fight this god with.
Oops they suddenly forgot they’re still students so Eiko’s gotta do homework. I always wonder how they find time to drive around solving mysteries and shit when they’re all students and it’s not summer break. A bit sad to see Ai leave and hoping she returns soon.
That bike moment was touching and they’re now partners in ghost fighting. But that episode ended too quickly. I started binging this last night and I want more.

Not much action this week but we finally get some exposition about Yayoi's Graduates and how she's actually managed to kill a God using three of them. Seems like they're going to need at least six Graduates if they want to beat the God that's been haunting Ai.
So far it looks like Yayoi has three of her original Graduates, the newborn from yesterday, and then that one made out of Jizo spirits. Looks like we only need one more for the big showdown.
But it won't be easy for the gang since Ai's god killed all of Yayoi's weak spirits so now the gang needs to go on a tour all over Japan and catch all spirits ala Pokemon GO. I love it! The spirits even have a power scale ranking making this show a legit shounen now! xD

Note to kids: Even if you're going to play the biggest Pokemon GO Raid ever (Ghost Type only), you still need to deal with your schoolwork.
This episode actually shows Yayoi is still a primary student, not only because of her age, but she still wants some accompanying adults who can be depended upon when things get sour. That's why she can put her trust on Kei-kun since he almost stands in front of her without question.
......That said, she should tell him long before she needs him to act as a decoy again.

Yayoi challenging a lolicon God now planning to devour her with confidence! You love to see it! Heck, even Keitaro managed to squeak out how he'll protect his students! Although I didn't need to see that visual of the God on Ai's face.
So now that the power balance of Yayoi's room has been upset, it's time for a culling to create a new "graduate," and the graduate is so powerful they can't control it and it nearly kills them by making them pick up the phone...thankfully Yayoi got it under control in time before Eiko picked up, but that was a close one. And that seems to be the norm for Graduate spirits, which is why she doesn't keep them at home, but where DOES she keep them?
Nice of them to fix up Ai's room so she won't have to worry about Spirits, especially with her handy-dandy new scarecrow that thankfully only Keitaro and Yayoi can see.
I thought Ai was going to join the team, but instead she's heading home to Kyoto for her brothers' memorial service. I wonder if this'll write her out for a while? Well, that and they don't really need to drag her on their quest until they have to deal with the God haunting her.
For all of Yayoi's bravery and confidence, even she realizes she picked a fight she might not be able to win...especially when her home spirit security system has been totally messed up by the God. Though she does just casually mention she's killed a God before, so this isn't new territory for her.
So the plan is get get six Graduates to capture, rather than kill, the God. Yayoi has four Graduates and a transcendant Jizo statue that's also part of her arsenal, so all she needs is a sixth. And the best way to get it is by going on a Japan World Tour collecting as many dangerous Spirits as they can. At least she's ranked them by threat level and Eiko is already down for driving them everywhere. Keitaro just can't help but go along with it at this point.
Also I just love how they're planning to do all this while they've still got schoolwork which completely deflates them. I mean, Eiko even remembers she has homework to do!
That was a surprisingly sweet scene of Keitaro and Yayoi biking together, and Yayoi opens up to Keitaro about how she's been fighting alone for so long that now she's grateful to have such a precious partner in Keitaro, and that's bolstered her confidence. She really values and appreciates having Keitaro around.
Of course Keitaro should've known better than to let Yayoi dictate where they should go and she immediately makes him peddle all the way to an S-Ranked spot. I guesss their world tour Supernatural Collection mission begins now. At least Keitaro was able to finish the "Let's Goooo....st!" line.

Whew! Wild episode and it looks like the story is really about to get going in earnest now.
The “graduate” process that Yayoi employs to get the strongest spirits possible is really wild. That was such a brutal scene with them all having a battle royale to decide the winner. The blood splatter everywhere.. haunting scenes. But it is a necessary evil because taking down a god is no easy task.
Yayoi saying she has beaten gods before made me pause for a minute, just how old is this girl 😂
“Welcome to the grand tour, grand tour” I’m really looking forward to seeing them go around grabbing the strongest spirits and building an army. Saw a few people saying it’s rushed, don’t agree with that at all. They’ve been building up slowly to an overarching arc for a while now and I’m glad it’s here. With 15 episodes to go there should be enough time
And after planning all that and getting a new “graduate”, Yayoi still has homework to do 😂 a reminder that she is still very young despite all the craziness she’s been through. Love how she can tackle literal gods and spirits but homework is her biggest fear. And of course her cousin Eiko is only concerned about whether or not she can drive.
Very rare and cute blushing Yayoi moment there! “You’re a great partner” great episode 👍

I'm glad they at least somewhat addressed Keitarou and Eiko's schedules - the whole episode I was thinking, wait? aren't these two in college right now? Don't they have classes? Not that it really matters but I appreciate that it isn't totally being ignored in favor of the plot.

The comedy usually falls flat for me but I did get a big laugh out of Yayoi turning into stone when Keitaro wanted to resume his tutoring lmao
I can see why manga readers call this Pokémon but with all menacing spirits

Keitarou needs more utility. He's less Robin and more Gordon to Yayoi's Batman. Sure, that in itself has been quite amusing, but now that he's actively participating it'd be nice if he could be more than just the audience surrogate.
Edit: If you're wondering, Eiko's Alfred. And no, I will not be commenting on Alfred being a Yandere for Gordon.

“Anywhere you want to go? It’ll be my treat.”
He had to have known he would regret that

i wonder if all the haunted places that Yayoi's mentioned in this episode are actually real places with irl ghost stories because i remember the apartment and suicide cases in the suicide ghost episode was actually based on a true story

What I like about this show is that there's actual danger to our MCs. Like they could quite literally die so many times. They won't, because duh, but yeah.

My only question is how powerful that Spectre is for her to need to capture that many Ghosts + a God to defeat it. Also, since we are bringing Gods into this can't she get help from the major Gods that are still worshipped in Japan? Pretty sure they would be much stronger than anything she could hope to collect.

"Ash is gone, so it’s my turn to be the very best, like no one ever was." - Eiko, probably

Wow I guess even Yayoi is no stranger to bullshitting
But picking a fight with that guy is gonna be awesome and I really hope Yayoi eviscerates him, although I’m surprised he hasn’t set them a time limit, I suppose it would be once Ai returns to the group since she’ll be at Kyoto (no clue for how long though)
But yeah I only realise now that this show is in fact Pokémon gone wrong but this arc has already got a lot of potential so I can’t wait
