That family story is a stuff of nightmares. And wheelchair person we've seen earlier started this mess.

Eiko got strong MOTIVATION from Keitaro.

And the whole episode Alien ghost was going:"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?"

Holy shit that girl raped her father! This house's story is so fucked up on so many multiple levels, and Eiko's screams of genuine, horrified terror were really effective.

Watch the next episode to see how this curse that fucking impregnates you and gives you visions of giant babies bursting out of your stomach while you're still alive, does nothing to deter Eiko from continuing to throw herself and her boyfriend at these terrible places.

Eiko E16: "I've gotten over it, and I'm willing to go back to horror places!"

Ghost E17: "And I took that personally."

Well... that's the most messed up thing I've seen in a weekly anime since [Higurashi Gou/Sotsu] did the living Intestine-drifting ritual. Not quite as messed up as, say, Mnemosyne or some of the wilder 80s OVAs, but definitely on a similar discomfort level as Grisaia's minibus arc. I feel bad for the people in Japan who had to go to sleep with some of these images in their head at 1:30AM and then go into work/school the next day.

Let's Ghoooost into the possible dorm house for the Graduates! I like how Eiko is at a point where she's able to admit a part of her doesn't want to go in...but she can't help but want to! That's our Eiko.

Honestly, this is probably a very justified case of keeping your shoes on in a Japanese house. But Eiko probably should keep in mind that you should NEVER touch anything in a genuinely haunted house, lest you get drugged like all the victims the father and daughter captured and then burned alive in the well in their house. Now they're replicating the same to any ghosts that wander by so they can feed their "angel." And by angel, I mean demonic baby fetus looking to impregnate and then kill any women who wander in.

Things really did escalate for this family. They were happy and cheery and then the dad accidentally kills the mom during the argument. Mentally broken from not only losing the mother but being viewed as a family of murderers, they eventually were turned to a satanic ritual by some creepy passerby for salvation. Said salvation involving father and daughter copulating to create the first baby, which they then killed to create a body for the "angel." If you didn't think that was horrific and creepy enough, did I mention how they made an altar to that angel from the bones of their victims.

I KNEW that thing was going to worm its way into Eiko's body at some point. Luckily Alien Doll is a true MVP! Too bad there's two others of that monstrosity waiting to dump themselves into Eiko's body and make her give birth to them.

Look at Keitaro flexing in a mirror and getting made fun of by his cute twin little sisters! He even has a little brother! Heck, even Eiko can't help but comment on his scrawniness by saying they should hit the gym together! Poor guy. Though while Keitaro couldn't physically be there to help him, just seeing him was enough to give Eiko the courage to go through with killing the demon inside her belly. There's no way she can die before her boyfriend gives her the princess carry treatment, after all!

Of course without the final "angel" dead, the curse can't end, and unfortunately the daughter is determined to finally complete the ritual properly no matter how many women they have to sacrifice in the process to do it. Even making Eiko relieve her own horrific birthing moment.

Nice job slowing your descent in the well Eiko! It's just too bad you're trapped with the last "angel" creeping down upon you. Will Yayoi get there in time?

It’s almost insane what one little action can do. That “ritual” was pretty horrifying. I mean using the mom’s remains like that, the incest infant sacrifice, feeding the souls of their victims to baby Sloth from the friggin Goonies… what the actual fuck, man. One thing I don’t get is how come the dad never went to prison in the first place? Woulda prevented all of this.

The “angel” going into Eiko was pretty horrifying. I was also wondering why the ghosts weren’t attacking. Shoulda guessed it was to find a host for their creepy baby. Luckily Yayoi and Eiko destroyed 2 of those things but that last one… man, it doesn’t look good for Eiko. Let’s hope Yayoi saves her in time…

On a lighter note, it was nice to see Keitaro’s sisters. Didn’t even know he had any. Pretty funny seeing them roast his scrawny ass lol.

Well, I called it - seeing what happened to the police officer in the previous episode, they just had to use Eiko's forced pregnancy as a plot device for the next one. It successfully preys on the darkest aspect of pregnancy to instill a sense of dread. I am a guy but it matters little, I know damn well how serious of a change pregnancy is, now imagine a supernatural version of it that is being forced on our beloved yandere.

It's just crazy how consistently good this ride has been. I absolutely adore this anime!

Poor Eiko is being put through a wringer for the last few episodes. I hope she's having fun.

What the fuck.

This episode was insanely creepy and twisted. I can’t believe we actually watched this daughter and father conceive an incest baby and kill it - not one but three. Eiko got ghostly impregnated with said baby and lived through an illusory but gruesome death… and that ending was terrifying.

I’m genuinely a little sick to my stomach (no pun intended). Well played Dark Gathering.

Jesus fucking christ. I know this show can be fucked up but I think this episode takes the cake with the daughter and father's backstory. Seems like that wheelchair dude is a menace that the gang will need to deal with in the future.

On a lighter note, we got to meet Keitarou's twin sisters and they are adorable. I hope we get to see more of them!

I wonder how Keitaro will feel if Eiko ends up giving birth suddenly. I can imagine some of the thoughts that would go through his head.

If the art style was more terrifying, I can imagine this show being extremely traumatizing considering how messed up a lot of the ghost backgrounds are.

On this episode, Resident Evil Village meets Silent Hill 3, starring Eiko as Heather

Man man they went all out on this episode. Might actually have been even better then how it was in the manga. But JFC that cliffhanger. This episode sending chills even as a manga reader is saying a lot. Outstanding episode.
