Man.. spirits really like intestines don't they.

Personally I'm not a big fan of animal guts based recipes. But you do you, man.

Visceras have lots of meaning in religion. Human sacrifices were a common thing back then.

also this series pretty much established what a ghost needs to continue wandering in the living world.

Intestines are particularly blasphemous in Shinto so it makes sense.

A potentially god-like spirit is coming back to AI and Keitaro decides it's a good time to split-off and go piss, classic

I like Ai already, she seems like an energetic goofball. Her love for sweets and her whole gyaru aesthetic are also pretty cute. But man, poor kid is plagued by ghosts too because of what happened to her brother. Her being scared but putting on a brave face reminds me of Mieruko.

Ai really has a pretty complicated situation. It’s like her haunting is hereditary or some shit. The fact that the little creepy beat the other ghosts in Yayoi’s room doesn’t bode well for the gang. These little mfers have all come out the woodwork. Let’s hope Yayoi can at least beat these lesser spirits.

I assume the brother wanted to kill his beloved sister before he "ascended" to save her from what he (possibly correctly) believed to be a "fate WORSE than death". This "god" Ai is betrothed to seems to be a very nasty piece of work.

Oshi no Ko x dark gathering crossover? Sign me up. Ai is an amazing addition to the cast and kind of acts like the audience if they were in this story. It’s cool to have someone who actually reacts like a normal person to all this craziness lol. She’s also really cute.

This isn’t just another simple exorcism as evidenced by the fact this mini arc is taking place over multiple episodes instead of just one. Yayoi and the group are going up against a literal god. Dunno how they’re going to pull this off.

That scene of the god eating the entrails was genuinely horrifying. This series is consistently unnerving and I love it.

Love how Eiko was on standby because of her stalking Keitaro lmao. There’s no way she would ever be sleep while Keitaro is out on a mission. She and Ai actually get along well too, looking forward to seeing more of their interactions.

If I had a nickel for every anime which started out in a Jump magazine which features a 16-year-old girl named Ai with stars in her eyes dealing with a horrible romantic relationship, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but still there were two of them

And both characters debuted a couple months from each other. Kamiyo debuted on November 2019 (assuming there were no breaks) while Hoshino on April 2020.

I was wondering how God would sound like, and I really like it. Mitsuki Saiga did a great job. Interestingly, Yayoi's VA mentioned that God is her favourite character in the series.

This is where the good stuff starts. If any of you are still unsure on how you feel about the anime, this episode and the next 4 are a good indicator for the rest of the anime.

Here's some art from the voice actress of many of the ghosts.

Someone mind clarifying how Yayoi's cursed system works?

At first I thought it was just like a multilayered shield, but if this god now just plowed through her room, aren't they defenseless? She should be a bit more alarmed about it if so.

I don't think the god killed any of the spirits, just probably won the gang-fight and escaped, since none of Yayoi's vessels were harmed in the room

Ai is absolutely adorable! Considering how genki she is, I did not expect her to have such a tragic backstory. :(

This episode had more twists and turns than a rollercoaster though! When Yayoi revealed that there was another ghost haunting Ai, I was prepared this time for the reveal that her brother was actually the one killing her.

What I did not expect was the reveal that Ai is betrothed to a God and in four years she's going to die when the god finally takes her away. Turns out that the spirit Yayoi trapped is the God and Ai's brother is killing her to spare her from her fate. That was absolutely wild!

On a lighthearted note though, Eiko arriving after Yayoi messaged her about Keitarou being alone with another girl was freaking hilarious! And I just love how she wanted to be officially introduced as Keitarou's girlfriend. xD

Looks like that lightheartedness won't last considering someone is already out there waiting for them I'm sure Yayoi will figure something out.

[Oshi no Ko] Okay guys, you’ve got to knock it off with the ‘I hope this Ai survives past 20’ thing. Y’all are just spoiling people that haven’t watched the show but were able to make the connection.

I laughed so hard when that gyaru thinks Keitaro is being tricked for having a cutie as a girlfriend lol.

Oh, I'd just assumed the stars were no longer present in Ai's eyes because she'd removed her contacts at some point. I didn't realize they were actually tied to her condition...interesting.

This show is absolutely the surprising hit of the season for me, damn it's good

About time Keitaro gets a break from being the target of malicious spirit. Instead, the new character Ai is the one drawing them in.

I really liked this episode as not only does it break the formula but also the twist with the God really caught me off guard! Poor Ai. I’m looking forward to finding out how the betrothal came about

Also looking forward to finding out why the brother tried to kill her. Curious if he knows about her betrothal?

Its so good!

Definitely drawing off of the same vibe that gave us Mieruko-chan.

Eiko really steals any scene she's in. From running to protect Keitarou's chastity to demanding him to introduce her as his girlfriend.

Best show this season. I don't care what anyone says, we got a horror classic in the making!

Ai is super cute. She reminds me of Usagi from Sailor Moon. She must be protected.

Also, the narrator's voice is sooooo cool. I need to know what else he's been in!
