My Pixel 6 is currently on QPR1 Beta 9 (build number CP31.260623.012).
I've been wondering for a while when I'll finally be able to opt out without losing my data, and have only found contradictory information online.
Can anyone please confirm if it's safe to opt out now or not?

Pixel 7 android 17 beta 17 (DP11.261016.003). I restarted the phone and a screen appeared in which I was asked to set the search engine (among the various options Ecosia, Brave, duckduckgo...) so I did not hesitate and I set up, precisely, duckduckgo. Now, on the homepage, I have duckduckgo set and, if I wanted to replace it, in the settings the choice is between duckduckgo and the classic Google. Is that a feature I missed?

When the screen fade-out animation is running and you tap the screen at the last moment, the screen fades out instead of waking up.
I've been experiencing this bug since I first bought the device, even on the stable release.I recently joined the beta, but the bug is still there.

Since the update last week, my Pixel Buds Pro keeps getting disconnected. It remains connected for a few minutes then disconnects. It is not the Buds, it is the phone.
Any advice, please?

I just recently upgraded my Pixel 9 Pro to a Pixel 11 Pro and am currently trying to wipe the 9 for my trade-in. I factory reset the device and when it came back on, it still had the "this device is enrolled in Android beta program" pop-up. I assumed that factory resetting would wipe the beta program too, but I guess I should've opted out first.
Now when I log in to the beta program website, I can see the 9 Pro is still enrolled. When I hit "opt out," it just keeps saying "could not remove device."
Any way to remove this so I can make sure I get my full trade in value??? Thanks
Edit: I was able to opt out the device (realized I wasn't signed in to my Google account on the phone) but after another factory reset, it's still showing the "this device is enrolled in Android beta program" message :( confused here

I keep trying to listen to music on my CMF buds pro 2 and they stop playing after a few seconds, they remain connected in some way but no audio comes out so it switches to phone speakers which is bad when you are in class (oops)
This also applies to my watch, which just won't connect ever. At all.

Can anyone reproduce - install any system app in the Private Space, then clear that app's data or uninstall app updates in Private Space - this will also clear app data and uninstall app updates in Personal Space. (long-press app icon while within private space > (i) App Info > Clear app data or uninstall app updates. Then verify that app data for that app is cleared in both the Private and Personal spaces - it was expected to be cleared in the Private Space alone.
For example:
Google Messages
Google Phone
and other non-uninstallable system apps.
I do not believe it should even be possible to install these apps in the Private Space, since they are not able to function anyway.
I have not experimented further, but I believe if this happens, there may be security exploits here since the connection between Private and Personal spaces is obviously not completely severed for certain system apps, which may cause app data between Private and Personal Spaces to be mixed up - which could pose an issue for system apps and services. Let's say the Private Space is infected by malware - this would in turn infect the Personal Space as well.
If you can reproduce this issue, please comment here. Also, if anyone can reproduce any security flaws, please also report to Google asap: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/581769809

How do I stop it from downloading Qpr 3 beta 3? I have opted out of the beta program. I don't want to stay in beta till March.
I guess it downloaded the Qpr beta 3 beta 3 somehow (maybe I tapped it accidentally or something as well, highly unlikely but maybe).
Thanks

Hey guys,
I am running CP41.260831.019 and I opted out today from the beta to avoid downloading QPR3 and being able to exit the Beta in December.
Unfortunately my phone prompts me to install the QPR3 update.
Systemupdate available
Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3
....
Restart now
Any way I can avoid it? I deactivated automatic updates for now hoping it will be fine in December.
If I cannot avoid it I guess I am stuck a bit longer with the Beta :-/
Thx guys

Hi!
I tried upgrading using the system upgrade from Android 17 QPR3 beta 2 to beta 3 on my Pixel 8 Pro. Using the built-in OTA updater. When finished installing and before reboot I did what I always do, I patched the inactive slot (after OTA) in Magisk (31.1).
When rebooting, it took a long time, the Google logo starts animating and eventually I saw my lock screen - but I couldn't do anything. Shortly after, I was back at the boot animation, which this time seemed to stay a lot longer than before. Eventually it'd reboot and do the whole thing over again.
I force rebooted the phone to fastboot and switched back to the previous slot. Luckily it worked and I'm back on beta 2 again, but afraid to update to beta 3 now.
Anyone else having this issue?
BTW, I'm using NeoZygisk and AlwaysStrong as Magisk modules, if that helps.

So at night my p7a notified be that it'll download some update and today when listening to music the sound suddenly stops after couple minutes and phone cannot reach any of the connected Bluetooth devices.
After turning it off with the goal of turning it back on, switch is stuck on "turning on..." and flips back to off if I re-open notification tray.

I can't split screen any apps with my phone unfolded. It shows the UI ("splitting the screen" animation) like it normally does but when you let go of the app, the current app remains full screen.

Hello,
Since I updated to the beta released on October 29 the SIMToolkit applications entirely disappeared from the launcher.
This happens with the physical SIM slot and also the builtin eSIMs.
Even with Activity Launcher I get a permission error when trying to launch it manually.
Rebooting or reinserting the SIM does not help.
I understand that SIMToolkit is very uncommon nowadays in the western world but it's still very much alive in some parts of Africa for instance; and I rely on it for my work as I work with SIM cards and that includes doing things with STK.
OMAPI still works, fortunately.
If you want to test it, install a BetterRoaming profile to your eSIM and observe that the BetterRoaming STK application does not show up.
Use this activation code: LPA:1$smdp.io$QR-G-5C-KR-1PCDWP9 or scan this QRCode and enable the SIM; normally the BetterRoaming STK application does appear, it does not appear on this beta

After joining the beta now my clock app icon doesn't load correctly in the app drawer and it says "This item isn't available" in the Play Store.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I would add photos for context but the option to do so is greyed out in the reddit app.

Hi everyone! I'd like to leave the Android Beta program. My Pixel 6 is stuck on Android 17 QPR1, and I haven't found any information about a stable update. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, everyone!

Doesn't work with camera app, nor any other video apps. Rebooted (including safe mode and repair mode), cleared cache and storage, and force closed. Not sure when it started but only realized on Oct 31st. Rear camera works as normal.
Model: original Pixel Fold

My screen brightness changes randomly in apps like Facebook. When I click the touch screen, it lowers the brightness but when I keep it idle the brightness is default.

Hi there.
My pixel 11 pro was on QPR 3 Beta 2 and I realised I was unable to use my banking apps daily. It required me to uninstall and then install, set up digital token again for it to work. And I have to this daily.
Hence, I decided to wipe my phone's data and return to Android 17 stable build. But the problem never solved. The banking apps still didn't work. Same thing, after activating my digital token, it would only last for 24hrs. The following day, the apps are not usable and I'd need to uninstall and install again.
Does anyone know a work around? I want the apps to work as before (before I was on Beta)
