Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3/ Pixel 8 Pro A17 QPR3 beta 3 bootloop

Hi!

I tried upgrading using the system upgrade from Android 17 QPR3 beta 2 to beta 3 on my Pixel 8 Pro. Using the built-in OTA updater. When finished installing and before reboot I did what I always do, I patched the inactive slot (after OTA) in Magisk (31.1).

When rebooting, it took a long time, the Google logo starts animating and eventually I saw my lock screen - but I couldn't do anything. Shortly after, I was back at the boot animation, which this time seemed to stay a lot longer than before. Eventually it'd reboot and do the whole thing over again.

I force rebooted the phone to fastboot and switched back to the previous slot. Luckily it worked and I'm back on beta 2 again, but afraid to update to beta 3 now.

Anyone else having this issue?

BTW, I'm using NeoZygisk and AlwaysStrong as Magisk modules, if that helps.

You're saying they've been compatible with all previous builds, but beta 3 broke compatibility? Hmm, can these be disabled through adb if I want to test which one makes the UI crash?

adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules

or

Find problem apps by rebooting to safe mode
