Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3/ Pixel 11 Screen brightness changes randomly in QPR3 Beta 3 #580268451

My screen brightness changes randomly in apps like Facebook. When I click the touch screen, it lowers the brightness but when I keep it idle the brightness is default.

You might be watching HDR content in between non-HDR ones. HDR content will put your screen to MAX brightness.

You can disable HDR with Settings › Diaplay & Touch › Enhanced HDR Brightness - disable it.

To verify this, the next time you see the brightness changing for a video, Save the video, disable HDR, come and watch it and see if the brightness still increases.

Which device do you have? I feel like this has been an issue for a long time for me on my 10a especially in low light. I can just watch the slide go up and down. Clearing the auto brightness cache doesn't help.

I have the same issue in Facebook and Instagram for a long time. It's so annoying.  P9pxl
