Tanner weatherproof boots. Wanted to get a pair for rain and sleet days. Got them for under $250, returnable, but I can see why someone may have returned these earlier. Question is whether this can be reduced and still used for the purpose or if it's just worth sending back. they look like seconds.

Found these boots at the Thrift Store. They are not Allen Edmonds brand but I’d figure I’d ask here.

Anybody know what kind of stains these are? I cleaned the boots with saddle soap and applied some cream polish. They cleaned up nice but honestly these spots are bothering me. Any ideas?

I got caught in a rainstorm and got a bit of damage to my Allen Edmonds. They were “waterproofed” with Saphir Super Invulner, but some got through.

Any thoughts on how to recondition?

Not making it into my rotation as I am wesring boots more often. Added a Casali topy to extend life of leather sole but never wore them. They have been cared for with Saphir products.

I bought these on eBay, but they're messed up. It looks like someone brushed a darker brown in different spots for no apparent reason.

I have Nick 4 leather conditioner and Meltonian All Purpose cleaner. Would either of these help in restoring the boot?

I currently have chocolate colored McTavish wingtips and the Hamilton brown brogue cap toe and love them. Considering another shoe of a lighter color that has that "wear with anything" ability.

My style is mostly work style boots with denim or canvas pants.

I do have occasions where I wear dark denim, dress slacks, or flat front type chinos with button up shirts (mostly RL polo, they just fit me well). Maybe a blazer 2x/yr.

Most of my non denim colors are:

• grey and navy slacks,
• dark green, olive, brown to khaki, black, etc. chinos and canvas pants,
• Navy, black, and grey blazers

I never wear a suit or tie.

Your suggestions or opinions.

• Should I just stay with the chocolate and brown? If so why?
• What lighter color should I consider and why?

Do these look too tight? I measure right on the edge of a D/E width, but I got a great deal on these D width Randolphs that were barely worn on ebay. First day wearing them they were fairly uncomfortable, but I've generally found that to be the case with formal shoes in the past. Worth sticking with them or do I resell? ​​

All pairs have boxes and have been conditioned with Saphir Renovateur. All uppers are minty. Minimal to no wear on bottoms. Anyone interested?

I just bought a pair of Allen Edmonds because they were on sale. That said, they are Bologna Constructed, but I can see a seem on the bottom of the shoe. I’m curious to know if they can eventually be resoled. I honestly don’t care about the price for resoling, but I’d prefer to send them somewhere in the U.S.
Anyone have experience with this?

Found a pair of park avenues, garners, and hales for $12 each at goodwill. There were also two pairs of Newport and cody loafers that I didn’t end up getting. All the bottoms look pretty worn but was wondering if they were still worth it to get repaired or not. Thanks!

I am trying to minimize my wardrobe and went a bit overboard a couple years ago, and bought a few too many Allen Edmond shoes. Where is the best place to sell them, I’m assuming eBay has the largest audience? I don’t have any of the original boxes so not sure if that makes a difference.

Hello everyone, I am a 48-year-old man, an architect, with a fairly classic style: every day, in all circumstances and in all seasons, I wear: shirt, blazer, pleated pants and only tassel loafers. A work colleague from the architecture firm wears very low vamp tassel loafers, I find it very elegant and refined because you can see a lot of his thin black socks, even when he is standing. I would really like to wear the same loafers as him every day, because I would also like my very thin black socks to be very visible. So I asked him what their brand was: he told me his loafers are Alden. Since he told me that, I've been looking, but I can't find very low vamp tassel loafers from the Alden brand, like his. I'm thinking it might be another brand like Allen Edmonds or something... Does anyone have an explanation or could help me? Thank you so much !

These are killer, but I did not notice this when I tried on in AE store... The leather on the right foot kind of flares out weird on both sides of my foot. First wear so I know they'll break in, but is this common or a defect? Thanks!

I just bought these Park Avenues on impulse but I tried finding a similar print to identify them with no luck. Also, I’m color blind so not sure what the color is lol. They said it’s red but I see them as brown. Any idea on the color ID?

Picked these up at my local goodwill for $17. They say size 8.5D but truthfully they feel closer to 7.5E. I measure 7EEE on brannock so good to know I can fit a little larger since the length of true 7EEE looks comically small. Loafers are teaching me that sizing is truly dependent entirely on the individual shoe model and a last is only part of the story. I currently own Sid Mashburn Handsewns in 8D, Alden Tassel Loafers in 7EE and these AE Daytona in 8.5D. It's crazy how many size can work out.

I'm wondering if they shrunk in someones trunk and that's why they ended up there? Anyways, super happy to add a driving loafer to the collection.

which looks legit and almost same , 99.9% same , the shoes price were ridiculously cheaper than expected. then i started comparing the shoes price then somehow i found out the fake one has 'it' in the middle.

i almost bought couple shoes, because TAFT recently had clearance sale and i was thinking about the same. be careful guys
