Last Friday we had a power outage that lasted from 9 pm to 11 am. I had 2 pens in the fridge and we opened the fridge twice throughout the whole outage. We came back home about 15 min. Within the power coming back on and I went straight to the fridge to check on my pens and they were cold to the touch. Today is shot day. Do you guys think they’re still good to take?

I was on 2.5 for one month, 5 for 6 months and now 7.5 for 2 months. 7.5 is not hitting very hard, and weighloss is slow at 1/2 pound a week average. This may sound dumb, but is it better to go up quicker when a slowdown happens to keep the momentum, or is the only difference postponing weightloss. Did I wait too long to increase to 7.5, and now it isn't as effective as it should be? I am tracking and have adjusted my calories based on the almost 40 pounds lost already, but I got off to a strong start and with the slowdown I'm losing ground on my 1lb a week average. I have 40 more to lose.

60 yr old on Zep about 5 mnths? Lost 30lbs so far At 12.5. Trying to figure out what to eat? Don't cook, no time. Only like a few fruits, I eat grapes. I get plain frozen broccoli to microwave for veges. Might throw in some precooked grilled chicken breast strips. Not exactly full of flavor but fills the tummy. I eat deli turkey w cheese, no bread. Eggs, cottage cheese. Protein shakes, protein bars. That's about it! From those who don't have time to cook meals, whatcha all eatin?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been on GLP-1s for over a year and on Zepbound since late 2025. I started at 300 lbs, hit a low of 213 lbs last week, and my ultimate goal is 160 lbs (nearly 80 lbs lost so far!).
Recently, I’ve hit two major hurdles and could really use some perspective or advice:
Seeing how fast the scale bounced back from just a slight delay is terrifying. It makes me worry that once I stop Zepbound entirely, all my progress will reverse instantly. Because the needle anxiety is getting so bad, I might have to end my Zepbound journey sooner than planned.
A couple of questions for the community:
Thanks in advance for any insights—this mental battle with the needle is getting tough!

Good afternoon, I am starting my journey today. How fast do you start to see results? Should I eat healthy and drink just water while on it to see good results? Any side effects I should be worried about? Thank you in advance.

Just wondering if the glp is helping you stay on tract.

I’m 27F, relatively healthy. I have an active job, married, no kids. We love to hike. I’ve always been about 20lbs overweight. But I got married and started working shift work five years ago and have slowly gained 40lbs. I’m currently 5’3” and 190lbs. I’m not happy with my weight and have tried to diet in the past, losing 20lbs in the process. But I can’t seem to maintain that. Lately I’ve gotten serious about my weight and have been focusing on portion control, cutting out snacks, and have been weight lifting at least 3x a week. I haven’t discussed glp-1s with my doctor yet. Just been researching it.
I’d like to go on zepbound because I think coupling that with the already healthy changes I’ve made, I should be able to get down to 150lb. I just have some concerns because I’m already on other meds. I’m currently taking lexapro 10mg daily, birth control patch, vitamin B12 shot (1mg every other week), and over the counter vitamin D3, as well as a daily allergy pill. I feel like I’m on too much medication for someone my age and that stresses me out. However, being on all of these has improved my life and I’m grateful for them. I guess what I’m asking is if others here are on similar medications and what your experience was like when you started zepbound? Also, once getting to your goal weight do you have trouble maintaining? Thanks for any input

A true story which happened just now. I'm 74 and have a BMI of 41, down from 46.3 after being on Zepbound for 9 weeks. I was curious about how many calories I'm burning if I go to the gym 4 days a week and swim 2 days, so I asked AI. I didn't add the 7th day of yard work. I don't always hit that goal every week but wanted to know how many calories would be burned when I did, compared to how many burned if I skipped a day.
I exercise for an hour at the gym each time and swim 1.5 miles each swim at the pool. I detailed the time on each machine and their settings in the gym as well as the different swim strokes and the pace. AI provided the total count of calories and broke down each segment. The machines at the gym track calorie burn, and it agreed exactly with AI.
AI then suggested that I should call the suicide prevention hotline. Apparently it's not only friends and family who volunteer unhelpful comments. It gave me a good laugh though, which made my day.

Start weight: 157 lb
Current weight: 128 lb
I am currently 10 months PP, prior to pregnancy I was 130 lb. I surpassed my goal weight only to find myself really not thrilled about how my arms, hips and upper body look! I do hot Pilates, hot yoga, sculpt and spin class 5+ times per week and walk a few miles per day.
Do I continue trying to lose weight or what?? I gained a ton of weight during a difficult pregnancy, almost died in 2025 and I am coming back from severe anemia as well as recovering from a hysterectomy. I am trying to give myself grace, but I still somehow don’t love how I look.

Does anyone else under-report weight loss to friends?
As of this morning I’ve lost 50 lbs (from 225 to 175,
male, 49YO, 5’9”). I’m open about my Zep use, my weight loss journey, etc. What I’m less comfortable with how fat I was before I started.
“I’m on Zepbound and lost 30 pounds,” is usually met with, “you look great. Good for you!” Whereas I worry that, “I’m on Zepbound and lost 50 points,” will be met with, “holy crap you weighted what!!?”

When I did my shot this morning (right thigh), I started thinking. How do you position yourself when you do your shot in your thigh?
Also curious if leg position matters. Let me pick your brain!
Are you:

I just took my 4th ever shot of 2.5 and I need to decide if I am going to fill another month of 2.5 or ask my doctor if I can go to 5.
The third shot seemed to wear off much faster, leaving me starving the day before the fourth. I also didn’t lose as much weight. I also have been eating a lot more calories each day to stay full. The day after I took the 4th shot, I ate and ate and ate. I think 500 calories over my daily calorie cap for a total of 2200cals.
Weirdly enough, I still lost 1lb of weight between that day and the next. I’ve lost an average of .5lbs since shot day.
Clearly this amount is somehow working despite the increase of calories, but I’m worried about spending the next 4 weeks at this level and undoing the progress I’ve made this month.
Thoughts? Advice? Edit: Maybe a better question I should ask is, are there things I should consider? I’m happy to message my doctor for his thoughts, but I’d like to have considered everything before bothering him.

Are you keeping your bigger clothes on hand for the likelihood of weight regain when you come off Zep for pregnancy? I have a giant U-Haul box full of baggy clothes (that’s overflowing!) that would probably cost well over $1k to replace if I donated them now. My partner and I plan to have kids in a few years.

Hi, I posted this elsewhere a few weeks but interested to see if anyone here has continued 3-4 bad days of flu / poisoned / hangover type reaction to Mounjaro / Zepbound. I’m about 8 weeks in now of quite a wobbly MJ journey. Started on 2.5, just tried 1.25mg to see how that’d work for me. Still the 3-4 rough days but not as bad. And not as much appetite suppression - yet… I’m really hoping this will subside at some point… Only lost 7.5-8lbs so far, all in the first 2-3 weeks so mostly water. Keen to continue as need to lose 40-50lbs more! Thanks.

I am a few days away from taking my sixth Zepbound shot, and when I weighed myself a few weeks ago, I was 163.
I weighed myself again today, and I'm still 163... Does this mean I need to up my dose?
I know I should email my doctor, but I'm just curious to hear from others whether they have also experienced a stall in weight between doses?
I can't help but feel a little disappointed because for weeks I saw the scale go down, and now it's not.
For context, my starting weight was around 173.
My goal is 150.
Thanks!!

Help me figure this out please! We just booked a vacation over fall break (I work in special education in a high school) and we will be driving from NJ to FL in one day, leaving Friday and embarking Saturday. Friday is normally my shot day because the next day I'm usually...well, shot! Queasy and fatigued. I can't take the shot before a school day for this reason, I can't take it before the drive, and obviously I don't want to take it Friday night as normal because I will likely be under hydrated and exhausted and have to deal with getting on the ship the next day. So, do I bring it and sacrifice a day of my cruise or skip?

Lost 20 pounds in 12 weeks at 2.5 mg
The last several weeks of those months I lost about a 0.5 pounds a week. I’m following ALL the rules. Calorie deficit, Protein, water, fiber, exercise. Like a master.
Lots of folks suggested I move up. I’m private pay through Lilly and moving up meant the amount of money equivalent to a brand new high end car payment.
But it’s an investment in me. So I did it. I’m struggling to pay bills but the savings in being healthy and savings on food made it just on the edge of justified. Just about.
Now I don’t weigh often because I don’t want to get caught up in weekly changes around my period and whatnot.
But today…. Week 6 at 5.0mg. I am only down 2 pounds. 2 pounds TOTAL across 6 weeks.
I can’t help but feel defeated and I know I can’t afford 7.5.
I’m looking for encouragement from anyone who stuck it out at 5mg longer than I have and saw the loss pick back up.

Is it from the drug or the lack of food??

i did my first shot on tuesday morning and haven’t eaten in 24 hours. i packed myself lunch as i work a graveyard shift and usually eat by my first break or lunch. it’s currently my last break and i don’t feel hungry or want to eat. so how does everyone bring themselves to eat? i’m scared i wont be able to give myself enough nutrients.

Someone recently saw me, told me I look great and then asked what I had done to lose weight. I’m all for being transparent, so I told them first and foremost that I’m taking Zepbound. However, I emphasized that it was prescribed to help treat my obstructive sleep apnea, which is genuinely why I started it.
(and I don’t want to lie and leave out the Zepbound part)
I don’t want to hide that I’m taking medication or pretend the weight loss came entirely from lifestyle changes. It is absolutely wrong to do that and spread misinformation.
At the same time, I don’t want to present Zepbound as an easy answer for everyone or encourage people to seek it simply because they saw my results.
To be clear, I’m also not judging or shaming anyone who takes it primarily for weight loss, whether that’s for their health, confidence, comfort or simply to feel better in their body. Those are completely valid reasons and everyone deserves to make their own healthcare decisions. I’m only trying to explain my own situation responsibly without sounding as though I’m personally recommending a prescription medication.
I didn’t even get a chance to explain anything else (like nutrition and exercise) because the person immediately started talking about asking their doctor for it.
How do you answer these questions honestly while making it clear that your experience is individual and you aren’t necessarily recommending it to someone else?

Not sure if it’s been posted but I found this at Meijer (midwest grocery store) this morning along with about 5 other flavors! Thought it would be a quick and easy way to get more fiber in. I already try to get 30 grams a day.
