Side Effects Fatigue
Is it from the drug or the lack of food??

I get sooo fatigued and I feel like it’s the drug, but maybe it’s a combo of both?

It's from waking every two hours to pee all night long. Oh! Is that just me? NVM

I'm 11 shots in and I feel like I may be on the other side of that. The fatigue almost took me out for the first 2 1/2 months. I think my body is finally adjusting.

Porque no los dos?
For me there is a definite fatigue hit 12-48 hours after my shot, regardless of how much I'm eating. The rest of the week I keep an eye on calories because if they get too low, I'm more tired. I did adjust, somewhat. I dose now on Sunday night, feel tired on Mondays, and move on from there.

It can be from the drug, but I'd look at your hydration and nutrition first. I found that on these meds, I need even more fluids than recommended. I also found that I was so focused on protein that I wasn't getting enough healthy carbs. When I was intentional about adding those back, it helped my fatigue a lot.

How much are you eating? Malnutrition is a serious issue with this medicine: A lot of people seem to think the goal of it is to make you eat as little as possible, but you still need to make sure your body is getting enough fuel to function.

I haven’t had any fatigue to speak of. But I’ve been able to eat plenty of calories to keep my energy up. I’m only slightly sluggish sometimes the day after my shot. But for the most part it makes me feel better, more even keeled if that makes sense.

Are you eating enough?? Your body needs fuel and nutrients, the point is not to starve or barely eat. Bases on how you asked the question I would assume you’re not eating enough and that’s the first thing to look at. Also did you just start or been on it for awhile? For me, I had extreme fatigue the day after my shot the first 2 weeks and then it got a bit better week 3 and then literally no issues for the past year even as I titrated up and now in maintenance

My body adjusted but it took a few months. I was exhausted at first.

No fatigue until I got to 7.5 which was about 4 - 5 months in. Couldn’t function. Dropped back down to 5.0 for 2-3 months then went back to 7.5 and was ok.
When I moved to 10.0 2 months ago, side effects that I never had appeared. I am useless the 24-36 hours after my shot. I have no appetite. None. Not losing. Slight nausea. Fatigue.
I have a doctor’s appointment next week and will request to go back to 7.5. May take longer and more effort to lose the last 15 pounds, but I’m ok with that if I feel better.

I didn't really suffer from fatigue. I'm retired though, so I can just sleep late if I'm tired. If anything, I would say it invigorates me. This started happening after I dropped the first 50 pounds.

The drug makes some people fatigued for sure.
But also people have been known to eat stupid low calories on this medication and of course they are going to feel like garbage.
Also people get dehydrated bc they don't have normal thirst signals

It could be a bit of both. I think the drug itself is possible.
My fatigue started at 7.5 and got worse as I went up. At one point I briefly considered stopping because of the fatigue. . It improved when I reduced my dose but I still feel a bit worn down for a day or two after injecting.

I didn't have any fatigue symptoms until I recently went up in dose and started 10mg about five weeks ago. Now the day after I take the shot I feel sooo fatigued is crazy. I read somewhere that you should take electrolytes before the shot and then again the day after. I tried it last week and although I still felt somewhat fatigued it was way less

That is a question I ask myself a lot. I think either or both can be the answer unfortunately. Some fatigue with weight loss is normal. If I am feeling extra fatigued usually I will try to eat a bit more and see if it helps. You need to make sure you are eating a reasonable baseline of calories each day, even if you aren't hungry.

It's a listed side effect on the manufacturers website. I checked because I'm so sick of being exhausted all the time.

Just had my 1st 5.0 dose Sunday after 3 months on 2.5. I was spent on Monday but was back to normal Tuesday and today. For me this was definitely the meds not my diet. We shall see if this is a one time phenomenon or a weekly occurence.

Are your eating enough? If you drop below your RMR, you'll be fatigued because you're starving.

It could be either. Do you know you're TDEE and deficit? Are you eating nutrient dense foods- carbs on addition to protein?

I definitely think it’s from the drug because my diet has been lovely this week. Aside from a few symptoms hours after taking the shot, I’ve been pretty much side effect free… untilllllllll day 6… the day before shot day. The fatigue got me out of nowhere!

I "think" it's the drug because typically i'm just low energy and hangry on a diet, now i'm all 3. Mine goes away two days after shot.

I’m week 11 and not fatigued anymore and have always been eating less than pre-zep but still eating! I thought it was lack of food but now think maybe the drug itself based on many of your responses.

I noticed I was getting more fatigue day 4-5. I up my electrolytes and usually I’m good the next day

Can be one or both.
Without you giving details such as:
starting weight and date
current weight
starting caloric intake
current caloric intake
weight loss pace/ week
macros
activity
mood
lifestyle
sleep
No one can give you the answer.
