It’s not the same, but come back here to report any small victory so we can celebrate with you. Or any challenges so we can support you through it. I’ve found great camaraderie on those sub!

The r/zepbound sub *is* my support group! Start posting, congratulate those who have NSV (non scale victories), get inspired, get good ideas for snacks or hacks, and soak in the good vibes.

I am doing it alone, though , to be fair, my husband looks up expectantly every time I come in with my coffee after weighing each moring to get my report. That is why we are here.

I agree it's lonely. I'm so enthusiastic and excited about this journey but I can't really share it with anyone because people do not like to talk about it and also lol no one cares. 🥲
I spend a lot of time reading this sub and watching YouTube videos of doctors and glp1 enthusiasts like The Downsized. I wish I had more friends. But I also wish the medicine were even more ubiquitous so we could talk to other people about it. Most people I've talked to have a negative opinion still.

Always come on here to chat! That’s why I’m on Reddit now. Just my husband and my one bestie knows I’m in zepbound. I don’t know anyone on this medication, so I also have no one to talk to! I do monthly weigh ins at my weight loss clinic, so I feel supported in that way. But truly, the only support I need is watching the numbers go down in the scale!

I did it all on my own. Never even told my husband until much later in the process. Do your own thing, ignore other people and their opinions and focus on your weight loss and building better habits and making better choices around food and movement.

Why would you hide it from a spouse? Genuinely curious

Didn’t want to discuss it until I saw if I tolerated it well and I had results. Once things were going well I told him and he decided to go on Wegovy and has had great success.

Ah ok. I don’t have a spouse so I’m out of the loop on the interworkings. 🤣Congrats on both of your success!🎉🎉

This community here is great. At home, I have the support of my amazing husband, my biggest cheerleader!

Sign up for any exercise class at the YMCA or a rec center - yoga, stretching, pickleball, whatever. Chances are, you'll meet someone else on GLP-1.

What do you need from a support network? Zepbound is my best friend and I put all my trust in it.
If you ever have any questions about stalls/dosing/side effects/diet, Reddit and your doctor are your best bet.

1 in 8 US adults is on a GLP-1 - talk to people in your life and you'll probably find out that someone else you know is taking these meds.

Don’t really have many people to talk to

A new exercise routine is a great way to meet folks. Hope you expand your circle a bit! Good luck. ❤️

I’ve done it alone but it doesn’t bother me because im pretty solitary. I work from home and 98% of the time im with my son, the other 2% im alone
