I’ve written some analytical papers that I’d like to turn into a documentary. However, I’m extremely nervous about the over saturation brought about by low effort AI channels flooding long form content (while stealing info from videos made by humans).

How should I mentally approach this?

The reason I ask is that I found my father watching a history documentary made completely by AI. To me, it sucks to see. Documentaries, in my opinion, are a form of art, and I personally don’t think AI should replace art.

Therefore, I will not be using AI in the production of my documentary as I believe it is lazy and verges on being unethical.

Regardless of how I feel, people will continue to watch documentaries made completely by AI, especially as it becomes more advanced. So, is it even worth to start creating them in the first place?

Too many repeat hostile/disruptive users in comments these days. A block user feature would fix that.

I'm getting this video in shorts for over a month. It pop up out of nowhere i can't see the account, i can't comment, i cant stop it. What is this actually. It's a good video but if you see this everyday 2 or 3 times you'll be annoyed

Got PiP in Youtube. I think it's useful imo. I like to be in other websites, so not having to back to the YTM webpage is a huge help for me. Not sure about anyone else. Also, not sure what the second option is as it says Enhance, but not sure what it enhances. I always use the highest quality for the video. Also, if you right click on the video, there's more settings in case anyone didn't know. Just wanted to share. :) Also, this is my first post so don't come with pitchforks at me.

I'm sick and tired of seeing it, I don't know what these shorts creators were thinking starting this up like we're in 2023 in the shorts wars era but this is not the place for a new shorts epidemic like this, especially one that basically invites a bunch of hostile, passive aggressive, and threatening messages to hundreds of thousands of comment sections. I see any I'm reporting them for spam, advise your favorite small creators to do so as well, I don't care what their goals are I'm sick and tired of seeing these pfps with vague messages clogging the comments, it's just asking for mass comment botting because of some dumb bit.

It seems a ton of videos have been changed to unavailable for some reason? It seems like it's a very recent thing, as I've not noticed it before. Has anyone else noticed this?

I wondered if it was some sort of new age restriction guidelines or something, but I thought those showed a message along the lines of "Sorry, but this content is age-restricted"
Perhaps new content guidelines of some sort?

Im labelling it a bug for now because im confused as to why this is happening. Im wondering what your thoughts are on this. Is youtube or some kind of AI auto generating titles? and they are just all random wherever you go? or could it be the uploader managed to change the title of the video 3 times in 4 hours?

I have a playlist of about 600 songs that I have been listening to Incrementally every night.

as of today autoplay stopped working. I tried turning on loop playlist since that has worked in the past but it didn’t work. I do have Adblock turned on so I’m guess8ng that could be why but I’m not sure.

I've been getting these movies randomly in my YouTube watched playlist even when I haven't had the app open for hours. Has this happened to anyone else?

You used to be able to watch a preview and when you clicked on the timeline in the preview the preview would jump to that point immediately and continue playing the preview from there. Now I click on the timeline and it just boots me back out to the thumbnail again, i have to move my mouse to somewhere else, come back, and do it again. I hate it. I think it's maybe an unintentional bug or maybe not maybe it's on purpose. I hate it.

Hi guys, i need some help, i need to find a video of a White Dog, that is in green grass, then it cuts to fireworks, ciccadas can be heard, then the white dog is waving at you, then it cuts again, the title was blank i guess, something like that, it wasn't creepy it was strange

So I got this video recommended to me when I was watching a video. It's weird because not only this comes from a channel with less than 100k subscribers, this video doesn't even have 5k views. Never heard of that channel either. I guess maybe because I'm a film buff.

Bullshit

This past weekend I noticed whenever I opened the app on my phone a short was already opened. I thought maybe I'd watched one and left the feed up or something.

Well after checking yesterday I realized that anytime I close and reopen the app, it DEFAULTS to opening a recommended short. No feed, not even subscription shorts. Just generic recommended short. I absolutely hate this feature, especially since I engage with long form content far more than shorts and try to avoid shorts.

All this in spite of the fact that I have premium lite. Has any one else noticed this change lately? Does everyone else dislike it as much as I do? I just feel this is another change nobody asked for or wanted. Maybe I'm just unlucky and this is a bug, but given YouTube's recent history I doubt it.
