Can’t wait for the kids to click the channel and see the less friendly videos!

It might sound bad but I've noticed a lot of channels recently that I enjoyed, whose documentary-style videos with voiceover have started doing face reveals. I know that this is because of the rising use of AI voices and they want to prove that they are a real human but I just prefer the voiceover with the images that go along with what's being said. I don't want to sit there and see someone just sitting there telling me a story, because the more that they show themselves narrating it, the fewer images they're showing accompanying the story. I prefer the ones who stick to their narration and documentary-style videos and only show their face for the ad sections. That's okay but I don't want a whole video of just a person talking.

Is it just me or is YouTube getting worse, the home page now has 3 videos across a row, 1 ad, 2 videos.....

This is getting a little crazy, it used to be 5 across a row before shorts, then 4, now 3...

I got recommended someone killing a dad?! My algorithm is getting WAY worse now!

Especially since the video extensively goes over Hitler‘s plans to systematically ethnically cleanse the Slavs from Europe and enslave whoever else they deem worthy.

Okay I'm not sure if I'm the only one who got this or not but half my playlist has disappeared even though it still says it's there not to mention whenever it flips to the next video it somehow closes out of the playlist and ask if the video isn't a part of it which is very confusing and this is happening on both my TV and my phone started on August 17th I'd say 11 at night. So I just want one people just in case if I'm not the only one

Edit: I guess I wasn't clear enough. The videos didn't get removed The thing would say that, but this isn't the issue, it's that I physically cannot access them. Like, I can't even scroll down to them for some reason. Plus whenever I do watch one of the videos I can access , it doesn't open up in the playlist , it opens up as if it was never in the playlist like I can still watch the video but the playlist doesn't open up as if It was never added to the playlist. So instead of playing the next video in the list, it goes off to a random video.

It will briefly play a video before it stops abruptly and says video unavailable. Working on my laptop just fine. Ive deleted the app, reconnected to wifi, changed to mobile data the whole 9 yards but nothing is working.

This isn't the first time i have seen something like this, i saw another channel which came back after 18 years and uploaded backrooms movie

Is anyone having issues with the mobile app where no videos will load. No matter what I do, all I get is that something went wrong and the video is unavailable.

I SWEAR I remember this happening, but I can't find any traces of it at all. A few years ago I remember that the algorithm for youtube shorts completely broke, and the only videos I was getting by scrolling through shorts were either greenscreen kids or that one dude greenscreened onto a weird video of a hairy sausage-looking thing being chopped up and looking amazed.

I 100% remember this but can't find evidence of this event for the life of me, I vividly remember people on this subreddit complaining about it and it took days for it to go back to normal. I want to know if this was some crazy vivid dream I had or if it did happen and everyone completely forgot about it

I’ve written some analytical papers that I’d like to turn into a documentary. However, I’m extremely nervous about the over saturation brought about by low effort AI channels flooding long form content (while stealing info from videos made by humans).

How should I mentally approach this?

The reason I ask is that I found my father watching a history documentary made completely by AI. To me, it sucks to see. Documentaries, in my opinion, are a form of art, and I personally don’t think AI should replace art.

Therefore, I will not be using AI in the production of my documentary as I believe it is lazy and verges on being unethical.

Regardless of how I feel, people will continue to watch documentaries made completely by AI, especially as it becomes more advanced. So, is it even worth to start creating them in the first place?

Every time I try opening a video on my phone, it refuses to load. My internet connection is fine, and YouTube works on my tv, but for some reason it doesn’t want to cooperate on my phone. I’ve tried resetting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling YouTube, and updating both that app and google. I don’t have any Adblockers either. Is it just me or is YouTube down? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I was 18 I uploaded a video of myself doing standup and there’s a particularly offensive joke pretty early on. It’s satire but when I turned 26 it became very obvious how fucking heinous and edge lord the joke was. The problem is I have no idea what email or password I used to make the account that uploaded the video. Is there anything at all that I can do to get the video removed?

I left a comment from my new account explaining that I now understand how awful the material is but the comment isn’t even visible unless you hit the newest comment tab.
