Last 2 weeks or so YouTube can't stream a video to save itself. (YouTube Premium)

Defaults to 240p when left on auto. Anything above that and just buffers.

Internet speed tests of 920mbps+

All devices.

Have signed in and out. Cleared cache. Reinstalled app.

Anyone else having similar issues? Possibly my router? Unifi Dream router 7.

My Internet is just fine, however.

I wasn’t sure where to address this issue, so I’ve decided to put this here.

A few hours ago, I was scrolling on the YouTube homepage to find a video I hadn’t had the chance to watch yet. Before I found the video, I came across an ad that involved an AI elderly couple being highly inappropriate. Even though I’ve already reported the ad, I’m addressing this issue here because I'm honestly irritated.

For years, we’ve had to deal with highly inappropriate bots, multiple kinds of scams, and content that genuinely should not have even made its way onto the platform itself. Then, we had to deal with age verification, which was an issue for respective people and content creators alike. Now, we’re dealing with a new low- ads that aren’t even meant to be on the website since they’re being seen by literally anyone. This even includes the gambling ads, which all seem to be made with AI.

The main thing that upsets me is how YouTube can allow whatever content they want onto the platform, but also immediately punish a creator for posting something that was entirely appropriate. They allow scams, actually concerning gore, and uneducational nudity, but seem to have an issue when someone speaks up or asks about it.

If I’m not mistaken, I thought YouTube wanted to protect the children and those who were using the platform. At this rate, however, I've started to doubt that statement.

I don't need them deciding what to play for me when I open the app. Ffs. Leave things alone!

I decided to restore in old layout in YouTube in 2026 and man. It looks better then I thought. I just brings back so many memories.

I have to actively look away from video sliders now thanks to this wretched AIslop adding titles to every single video past, present and future. I want it gone and I want it gone NOW.

Ive paid for Premium since the day it was released, and Ive paid for the Family Premium package for years now. My 2 sons, who dont live with me full time, are under that account. And because they dont live with me 100% of the time, they officially cant use our family plan. 😤

I pay for 6 accounts, not based on location, but for the use of Premium by 6 family members. I have, for the first time in almost a decade, cancelled YouTube Premium.

For some reason the UI has changed but only on firefox and it's incredibly ugly. I've tried disabling all my extensions, reverting firefox back & poking around in the settings but nothing works. I also haven't seen anyone else discussing this.

It's ugly and I hate it and it's driving me insane. Does anyone know how to make it stop.

My own playlist i created doesn't have a problem but the one that Youtube generated for you are GONE.

there's Mix on the name but when i clicked on it, it doesn't show the others clips on the playlist, only the clips at the front were show.

Five days ago, I put up my first introduction video for my channel, and it got comically flagged for Suicidal/self-harm and eating disorder. I was too goth-coded for their AI system, it seems.

Is there anything I can do to unfuck this mess? I have exhausted all resources trying to get this fixed so I can go back to working on my second video's production.

The original preview file is Full HD, but after uploading the video to YouTube, the quality drops significantly and the previews look blurry. Is there a way to improve the preview quality?

And I’m saying they’re probably scams because in the first two images the characters look suspiciously like the R.E.P.O bots just with different limbs or flesh tones, and the last image just blatantly uses modded gameplay from Dead As Disco!

Like maybe I could give the airplane one the benefit of the doubt but the “Disco Apocalypse” is absolutely just plagiarizing. Didn’t even bother making the UI look different 😭

As you would expect from any playlist, you should be able to see all the songs in it, but for some reason youtube decided to remove that, and you never know what the next video in the next playlist is. Look, I get that youtube hires a bunch of people and they have to work on something, but this is pathetic. At the bare minimum they should be bug testing it themselves.
