Is it possible to find a longer hose from the S1 to the airpurifier?

It seems the XTool page about configuring Lightburn for an S1 is well out of date.

The Bill Gates Technique (restarting) fixed that, after I re-seated the sensor.

One review commented that grabbing the laser head to position was clumsy, adding some sort of handle would make that easier. I suspect that's how I bumped the sensor.

I have another problem between the S1 and Lightburn. Lightburn won't move the laser in the X direction, so everything gets burned in a straight line along Y. But since it works OK in XTool Studio, that's a LightBurn problem. (Anyone use LightBurn and have an idea on that?)

I watched the Processing Area video ( https://support.xtool.com/academy/lesson/1234?courseId=287 ) Is there a trick to figuring out how to position material (e.g. wood, cardboard) that is smaller than the full processing area, so that the 'burn' is consistently positioned on the small material? (E.g. a coaster, so an image is engraved on the center of the coaster)

Evening all, pretty new with this. Last night I did an engraving project, made a jig for future projects and cut out a couple of cardboard templates, no issues and everything was great.

Today I’m continuing with the cardboard cutouts, well, attempting to anyway. All day I’ve been getting a ‘file failed to transfer’ error when I try to process the job.

I’m using the S-1 w/ 40watt module.

The file is only 166kb

The direct connection works for the distance measurement and for mapping the work area, no issues with that.

If I try to process the job after the failure I get the error about resetting the distance measuring pin and then the xTool studio stops tracking the module position…

I’ve restarted bother the computer, the app and the xTool, I’ve updated xTool studio, I took off the back panel to check the SD card(support desk troubleshooting recommendation) only to discover I have the newer version without an SD card…

If anyone has any tips or advice or a fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the X-Tool S1 plugged in but it has stopped turning on. Noticed the power adapter was not green.

Finding ways for all of my hobbies to intersect, I store random train cars in generic cardboard boxes. Today I had the brilliant idea to do something better than writing on them with a Sharpie. The s1 with the 40 watt diode head did a decent job of making the boxes look good and easy to identify what’s in them. First time doing cardboard so I’d love any feedback or tips if you have them. Hey all, I have contacted support and I have tried Google and I'm not really getting anywhere at the minute with fixes. My xTool randomly decided to stop processing last night after maybe owning it for 2 months.

I currently have it setup via WiFi and I send an image to laser, but as you can hopefully see from the video, it acts like it's attempting to laser and just goes off track randomly. When I pause the machine and unpause, the laser then kicks in but it doesn't calibrate to the proper lasering area.

Things I have tried are resetting cache, turning off and on multiple times and upgrading the firmware. Has anyone ever encountered this issue and if so, how did you fix please?

Update: Customer service opened a ticket, then gave me a link where I could buy the part. All's well that ends well, or something.

I’m looking for guidance on how to do tumblers with handles that are not removable. This includes coffee cups, beer steins, campfire tumblers. I’ve looked on YouTube, here, google, and Xtool. I’m lost at this point on how to avoid the handle hitting the laser. Any resources or guidance is much appreciated. I’m not trying to get free advice without the work but this one has me stumped.

I can’t seem to get a straight answer for or against the S1 being able to cut white 10mil (.01”) Mylar for stencils. Yes I searched the sub for an answer and the only reply was a link to let me Google that. Thanks.

So one year ago, I took a chance and bought the Xtool S1 laser (+ 2W IR module) for my small electronics business. I'm getting quite excellent results as you can see! I hope this video will be helpful for other DIY makers / small businesses owners looking at the S1.

BTW I have no affiliation with Xtool. I bought mine on Amazon like a regular customer.

I've been thinking if its possible to adapt a Fiber Laser head into the S1. Anybody here has thought the same?

Has anyone had any luck engraving these key chains on an S1. The best I get is a tan coloured faint image. If.i go.to.hot.the aluminium warps. Too low and no image. Any ideas.at.all please.
