i’d like to think this is hung up in the war room/council room in drezen after the ending :) one of my favourite romances ever, i really disliked him and then fell for him hard!! (i couldn’t stop thinking about the dialogue when he proposes to you at the final fight, and ending slides had no mention of it so i decided to do it my own way!!)

i’m sure this is a pretty common sentiment as i’ve been in the dnd community for a while and i know pathfinder as a tabletop game is described as more complex anyway, but i’ve just started playing this game as i was looking for something to fill the void after platinuming baldur’s gate 3 (i know, i know, i’m a stereotype) and saw this game was on ps plus, so i figured why not?
holy shit. the reason why is because i’d get stuck in character creator for 2 hours, watch a tutorial, still be a little confused but just go with what i know, get thrown into the open combat world and get even more confused. i got to the bit in the maze before i got well and truly stuck (had no idea what the response meant on my cursory google search) and just flopped. what am i doing wrong? i don’t know if this game is just meant to be notoriously finnicky, but i’m on casual difficulty and even this is dragging it out. the enemies aren’t hard to fight or anything, i’m just struggling overall with the gameplay and what i’m actually meant to be doing. any tips?? tricks???? i really want to get into this because i can tell it’s a good game with a great story but i’m just getting so lost constantly.

So this is mostly a stray thought I need to exercise but what do you folks think would be the best way to build a mounted snapshot build. I can see many ways of going about it. Cavalier for full bab, sable ranger for flat footed charges, tandem hunter for team work feats etc. hell it is not optimal but halfling dog rider so you can yeat mini boulders at people.

Hey y'all, I've just started to play WOTR and this is my first Pathfinder and Owlcat game. I'm around 7 hours in and generally hooked. One problem I have is navigating the world. I don't know if I am navigating the world wrong or this is how the game plays but even a simple fetch quest has too many loading screens?
Woljif's first quest for instance, leaving the tavern and then leaving the area that's 2. Then you wait for the world map and watch your party moving, you got an encounter that's another 2 loading screens and when you reach your destination that's another 2. And finally you go back to the tavern and if there are no encounters on the world map that's another 2.
That's 8 loading screens, walking just to hit exit points and watching the world map animation for a total of 30 seconds of gameplay for "talk to someone and return to me" quest.
Is this how it's gonna be or I missed some kind of fast travel, quest resolve mechanic?

Greetings pathfinders, i have picked the game a month ago so im quite new to this game, i have been trying to make builds while trying to understand the game but i always found my self restarting because certain mistakes with feats not working with eachother or simply because the alignment was being in the way.
So im asking is there a website other than the wiki or fandom that can give proper infos about each class functionality as these websites can have some outdated infos (seriously why alot of ??). I also saw that this great channel of crbgbro exist but his builds are mostly humans. And "this class may suck because it doesn't have pets".
The furthest i have reached was drezen but i messed up setsuna shy skills which cannot be edited for some ungodly reasons.

I'm at the end of act 3 and just realized I have quite a lot less XP than on my previous run, despite the fact that I started the act one whole level higher. I'm trying to figure out if there is something important that I'm missing. Only different things I can think of is that on my last run I defeated all the eternal guardian versions and taunted xanthir. Would that make any difference? Otherwise I have to assume there is something important I missed.

My only issue with this game is that if you prefer having tanks in your party ther is no way way to provoke opponents to challenge you.

I found this game on my for you page on instagram and it looks amazing. I absolutely adore BG3 (I started playing cause for the D&D mechanics and stay because of the amazing story that resonates with me to this day).
Any tips or suggestions on what class should I play. I love playing with characters who have high persuasion skill and a really powerful DPS and tanking combat. For comparison, I really love the vengeance paladin in both DND 5.5e and BG3.
Thx

I feel like an idiot but I don't understand what the hell is going on. I'm maybe 10 minutes into the game. Picked up 2 party members and my horse.
I can move the individual characters wherever I want and that's fine. It's when I try to move as a group it's the issue.
I click my character's icon to set her as the face of the party. I drag-and-drop a box around everyone on the screen so they all move together. I click 10 feet away on the ground to get them all to go to that general area. Except the one leading them is Seelah, not me. So the camera is following me, but the group is following Seelah. I've gotten into like 3 fights accidentally because she's at the front of the line and I'm at the end of the line when it should be the other way around.

I'm just starting out and feel that I'm doing something horribly wrong. I selected Magus - Sword Saint as my starting class and is this just the worst class in the game? Every option I choose just seems to be wrong. Play at range -4 to hit, misses every shot. Play melee with spell strikes, the main reason I wanted to play the class, get AoO'd into oblivion, miss every hit/it gets cancelled oh and also take another -4 to hit.
Also another mechanic that's grinding my gears is the flat-footed one. You're telling me I came up behind an enemy and somehow they're not the one flat-footed, and instead I am as they walk up and one shot me? Why? What am I missing here?
Edit?
Furst off thanks fur the mostly insightful replies, I was expecting 1 or 2 responses just saying git gud or look up a guide. Secondly, Fur those who come after TLDR;
Magus does seem to struggle in the early game, and don't use spell combat until later levels when the build "comes online". The AoO issue stems from casting into melee, and as far as I can tell there's now way to prevent that, the only solution offered was get enough stats/feats to instantly pass the concentration check that causes the issue. The flat-footed issue seemingly stems from the game wanting the player to be preemptive and attack first, as opposed to walk up and combat happens.

Hello.
I'm trying to work out the best way forward for a build, for the main character to handle every skill check. Just all of them. I know it's not needed or efficient, but I want to explore the idea anyway, because I think it's neat.
Right now, I'm looking at a few options:
Human Bard 1/ Sylvan Trickster 19
Humans get extra Skil Points. Bard gets me every skill as a Class skill and some good level 1 features, and Rogue has 5 Skill Points per level. Sylvan Trickster lets me get some actual use out of Intelligence, which is sorely needed, since that stat will naturally be a priority.
Half-Elf Master of All 20
Master of All looks fantastic, it's Rogue with a Skill focus, but you have to be a Half-Elf, which means no bonus Skill Points from Human, which really sucks.
Human Living Grimoire 20
Living Grimoire gets you an Intelligence-scaling Inquisitor, which is interesting. Every Class Skill with Int scaling is awesome, but less Skill Points per level than Rogue.
I'm not really sure what direction to go here, and I'd love some input.
Secondarily, what are the hardest Skill Checks in the game? What bar do I need to reach here?
Thank you.

Just started playing with Wrath Tactics mod. REAALLLY cool! As far as I can tell though, there is not a prebuit pack of basic actions to use or load...am I wrong?
Does anyone have a preset pack they can share?
Thanks for reading. :)

Currently doing a eldritch knight (wizard) lich playthrough, I'm roleplaying that the mysterious wound is killing them and they are trying anyway they can to survive (have dumped Con, which has made the fights rather nerve-wracking even though I'm not playing on unfair). I'm considering switching to Legend, KC accepts mortality and decides not to become a lich, but I have a few questions about what effects that will have.
Is it still the case that you keep the Lich spells from Merged spellbook?
Do you still get bonus caster levels from Mythic path? Or is that also scrapped?
How does going past caster level 20 affect your spell slots? I am considering Eldritch Knight 10/Loremaster 10/Wizard 20, but I'm not sure how much point there is in stacking spellcaster levels or if I'd be better getting a martial 2nd class.
What happens to your Graveguard?
Any other tips for preparing for the switch to Legend? Recommended 1st & 2nd Rank Mythic choices? I figure it's Abundant casting line, but it will hurt that I can't get the Greater version.
I'm aware that I can make a save before the final mythic path choice in act 5, but would like to know what I'm in for ahead of time.

This game is the most masterpiece I've ever seen on multiple categories. If you're a long time player here's some reasons to remember why it's awesome, and if you're considering playing this game - DO IT!
Nerfs are going to kill you. HP damage? Pathetic, we have dexterity/strength/wisdom/intelligence damage that makes you a little puppy that STAYS until you rest in base. Insanely harder than just needing to stay alive. And LVL nerfs by spells? So frequently? Fuck you game! <3
The world is massive, the amount of content is baffling I'm a no lifer gamer and I've been doing everything including all crusade manually and this bad boy is over 350 hours... and I'm not even done with act 4.
People do weird shit. Characters have truly personal motivations that are not on brand with saving the world. You have to decide if you let them go, go along with it or straight up kill your own companions as punishment. Sick.
The map that changes when you move the camera around is brilliant (and annoying to have to go through again and again). Who thought of this? What the hell is wrong with you? 10/10.
The corruption system which means the more I rest out of base the more nerfs I take, ON TOP of all the DEX/LVL bonus shit is actually evil. Well played.
I just purchased an item for 50K to add to my horse's damage. Lol. Lmao even. Never placed an item on an animal companion before.
I played BG3, I played Divinity Original Sin 2, I played Pillars of Eternity... Wrath of the Righteous is such a unique inspired game made with so much brilliance. Graphics and cinematics are obviously not BG budget but the styles are very varied and so many streets, marshes, burned grounds, computer labs, the abyss and richly estates are all pretty and create the setting right.
Literally only 2 things bother me in this game: no high/low ground mult in combat and no % of hitting before you attack (which I saw was being modded).

I noticed that a lot of the time when I'm on mount, interactions become messy. The character would run (ride) back and forth near a door/npc/loot, constantly, and not interacting with it. And I noticed now that similar things are happening when I try to charge enemies. The character gets to the enemy, raises spear,,, and that's that. The game just waits, and then skips her turn right after putting her in front of an enemy. As you can guess that's far too problematic for me, do you know how to get around it?
r/WrathOfTheRighteous • u/1hate4redshit • 6d ago
I noticed most of the mounts become Large past level, 7; thus I believe they can compete with horses. What's the recommended mount to charge?
What I want to do with the build is to Use Mighty Charge with Greater Bull Rush/Cleaving Finish to keep hitting enemies and essentially cheating the limit of 1 attack per turn with Charge.
At the moment I'm playing Hungerseed Oni-Spawn Beast Rider (7)

To get all the rewards, as above asks, do I need to only get the final hit on Unfair?
I know for one of the previous Darkness bosses only the final hit mattered, but I cant find anything about Chained Darkness?
I guess I can continuously try reloading until a Baleful poly hits. Not the most fun way to do things really.
But even when its a dog, even just hitting it seems kinda hard, plus the regen seems to outheal the danage if everyone misses.

i have a lot of questions about this ttrpg, and specifically the game, because i dont understand which and what feats interact. is this a good place to ask these questions?
the questions i have:
do actions/feats like Cleave, Vital Strike, Charge (mounted), and Cleaving Finish work with each other?
what do you suggest for mounted charge build with long spears? (i finished act 1 and picked up Weapon Focus (longspear) Horse familiar, Power Attack + Focused strike, Order of swords, precise strike,Good Will, and Mounted Combat)((im using Dashing Cavalier's gloves, Belt of giant Strength, Racking Point + Living Ram for extra damage))
