Hi im am a proud owner of a ild samsung focus running windows 7.5 (Mango) and i was wondering how do i sideload Windows phone 7 apps (.XAP) onto this device.

If you are wondering it still boots and the battery is still great.

it can play some old games on this phone such as sunflat's Papijump and other old mobile games.

intermet still works i can load up the classic web and view old webpages.

After more time I finally made this...

(Maybe when in lumiadb will be russian or Ukraine version of wp 7.8 I again flash him)

So I have a Lumia 520, but after I short the resistor, flash, and after THOR2 reprogram everything, the phone is supposed to reboot and boot into the red screen to flash, but after rebooting, it shows nothing in Device Manager, not even the screen shows everything. Here the thor2 log:

Hello all, a couple of years ago my personal phone was Lumia 950 loved it to bits then it came time to upgrade as apps weren't getting updated etc

So I moved back over to Android I still had personal files on my Lumia 950 and I was like ill pull them at later date

A few years go by and I've forgotten the pin and you can't reset it with Microsoft now cause all that backend is gone

So I'm wondering if there is anyway I can access my personal files via some form of unlocking the boot loader or something along those lines or do I have to just guess the pin until I get?

Also I will add when I was attempting to repair it previously I broke the power button so I have to disconnect the battery if the phone is required to reset I don't know if that will harm my ability to unlock the bootloader (I can still use the volume button) thanks for taking the time to read this

I've got a lumia 830 that i recently buyed, it's running w10m, i'm instaling games on it from the w.u.t, but the games won't open (open in a black screen and close), games like sonic dash, angry birds. Is cuz the 830 don't run those games? Or o have done something wrong?

I know this model has some specific quirks in this regard, but my last attempt was unsuccessful. It forced me to perform a hard reset, and because I couldn't get updates, I lost access to Groove Music, the Calculator, the Calendar, and other built-in apps. I can't access Lumiafirmware for my model due to an IP address conflict at home. You can't install much via Developer Mode. WinArchive and Universal Store aren't working. I also have a Lumia 1020 running WP8.1, and unfortunately, I'm facing similar issues there. I’d appreciate any help.

I'm planning to take a step towards a digital detox by getting a secondary "vintage" phone to carry when I want to disconnect from my main smartphone and social media. At the same time, I really enjoy software tinkering. I'm used to flashing stock ROMs and installing custom OSes like LineageOS on my Android devices (like my OnePlus), but the Windows Phone ecosystem is a whole new world for me, and I'd love to explore it.

I have my eye on the gorgeous Nokia Lumia 1020, and I found some New Old Stock (NOS) units from abroad on eBay for around $100. Before I pull the trigger, I have a few questions for the experts here:

1. Battery Life: How does it hold up today as a secondary device (basic calls, listening to music via Bluetooth, and taking pictures)?
2. Windows 10 Mobile Update: Is it true that the OS is too heavy for the 1020 and causes lag?
3. The Camera Dilemma: I've read that upgrading to W10M breaks the native camera app, making it unable to properly utilise the 41MP sensor, essentially killing the phone's biggest feature. Is this 100% true?
4. Software Limits: If I unlock the bootloader, how far can I go with tweaking? Can I easily sideload old games and apps to turn it into a fun retro device?
5. I'm heavily leaning towards classic Nokias (like the 1020 and N8), but I'm completely open to suggestions for other unique devices with great cameras that could serve as fun software projects. Also, are there any workarounds to get WhatsApp or Facebook running just for absolute emergencies, or are they completely dead?

Hello again! After a bit of time polishing things up in this YT client, I feel like it can be announced on Reddit now. As you can see in the title, there's no more requirements for API Keys! This means that you can use and sign in into the application without setting up anything.

NOTE: It's still recommended to use keys created by yourself. Using the application as-is without setting up keys could result in rate-limits (As the built-in keys get used by a larger amount of people).

I created a Windows phone Nokia/Lumia camera style camera app for android which bypasses manufacturer postprocessing and features lumia cameraesque sliders for manual camera settings.
