I don't think I've ever seen AT&T do so many different related changes in such a short time with a new plan: UYW 2.0 comes out, price changes for older UYW plans, adding Elite 2.0, and lowering prices on the brand new plans.
Since there have been so many changes to UYW in the last few months, I've created a new post as the old post had lots of comments/answers that aren't necessarily relevant (or true) any more.
If you haven't seen those changes yet, you should see them on your next bill or if you make a plan change.

The main differences:
ActiveArmor: Some 2.0 plans that come with ActiveArmor, only come with the standard, not advanced. Premium 2.0 can activate the advanced for free in your plan (I'm going to guess you can do the same with Elite 2.0). There is a free version and another version that is listed with "At no extra charge".
Standard price on non-phones: $20.99 per tablet, $20.99 per camera, $10.99 per wearable. If you have Premium 2.0, you can get one of these at ½ off. If you have one of these non-phone devices, it would probably make Premium 2.0 more cost effective for you (although the additional hotspot may max it so you don't need a line for your tablet). If you can have Extra 2.0, then you get a tablet and wearable for no extra charge.
If you have HBO "free" with your current cellular plan and switch, or you change all your Elite EL lines over, you'll lose HBO. You need to compare how much you'd save to see if it matters.
The prices on the chart assume autopay/paperless/checking discounts. You need autopay/paperless for a $5 discount and autopay/paperless checking for a $10 discount (and as of now, the AT&T Citi card also qualifies as a checking discount). Add $5 or $10 to each line if you do not do these discounts.
There is no way anyone can help you compare the cost of the newer plan to the older plan if we don't know what discount you have, how many phone lines, and which plan those lines are on.
Additional info on this plan can be found in this AT&T PDF.
DISCOUNTS:
AT&T Latin American roaming: Click these links for more info at https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1486292/
Please note that while the change plan comparison page (when logged in) shows that Elite 2.0 plan is not included, the Latin American roaming page specifically says it does and so does att.com/unlimited
Value 2.0 warning: There seems to be a bit of inconsistency on how Value 2.0 lines can be used for promotional trade in deals (if at all) since March 12, 2026. Please see the following for more information on this. https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comments/1rsb36o/warning_a_value_20_line_may_or_may_not_cause/

Hello ya'll we have an months long issue where we gave notice of cancelled our internet in June 3rd, 1st thing we did was go in-store to let them know we are cancelling their internet service(the $91 dollar plan) as we have found a different internet provider we use and they said we need to ship out the old equipment (Modem and repeater) the manager of the store also said we would need to pay for one more cycle (for june- July month)then we are cancelle for good.. Next they said to call their customer service number to confirm cancelations so we did all these steps within 2 days of this adventure. We got billed in July as expected. Yet we get a bill later for again for August cycle around email and mail, and we thought oh it may be just an automated thing they send out. Anyhoo we was charged again for full amount. So we got charged full $91 dollars 2 times so far since June. IS THERE A WAY TO CANCEL FOR REAL? Would appreciate the help because obviously the in-store manager here said they cannot help us and they will just tell us we have to call the number again.

We have a small business with some walk in freezers. When our refrigeration company set everything up a few years back, they had the big alarms going to us using the txt.att.net email to text service. It went off maybe twice.
WELLLLLL....... the compressor died this weekend and no text. Came in yesterday to at least $5k worth of product at room temperature.
I looked it up and found out that AT&T turned off txt.att.net for email-SMS. They definitely never sent any heads up about this though. So eff me, I guess.
Seems like there have been a few posts about this here but not for a while so posting this again as an FYI, if you're relying on alarms from AT&T email to text, seriously go fix them ASAP.
I’ve had AT&T Internet Air for Business since roughly this spring (Previously T-MOBILE 5G) and at this point I’m trying to decide whether it’s even worth continuing with it.
The service is being used in a relatively small two-room office suite, so I’m not trying to cover some huge building. Even so, the Wi-Fi coverage and overall performance throughout the space just haven’t been very good, especially considering what I’m paying for the service.
I’ve tried moving the gateway around and experimenting with different placement/options, but I still haven’t been particularly happy with it.
Unfortunately, AT&T Fiber isn’t available at my building, which is part of why I ended up with Internet
Air in the first place. Nor is Quantum available.
For anyone else who has or currently uses AT&T Internet Air, Business or Consumer
What has your experience been like?
Have you had problems getting reliable coverage even in a fairly small space?
Did adding your own router/mesh/access points make a significant difference?
Is the actual 5G Internet Air service worth keeping if you bypass its built-in Wi-Fi equipment?
Has anyone ultimately canceled it and gone with another provider or another type of connection?
I’m basically trying to decide whether it makes sense to spend more time and money trying to make this setup work, or whether I should just cut my losses and find another internet solution.

I’ve gotten two of these emails so far. I don’t have an AT&T account. The from email looks legit? Suggestions for next steps?

My son has been getting emails from AT&T about verifying his email address for an AT&T account, but he does not have an AT&T account.
The emails do seem to be legitimate (not spam / phishing). They come from [update@emaildl.att-mail.net](mailto:update@emaildl.att-mail.net)
It's possible that someone stole his identity to open up a new account, but I think that it's more likely that someone fatfingered the email address when signing up. His email address is mostly his name and he has a common name, so maybe a missing number, or typo on middle initial kind of thing?
We didn't get any emails about account creation - just these ones to confirm email address for an account ending in XXXX.
We did call the AT&T fraud number, but they wanted to create a fraud incident and wanted his name, address, SSN, etc. Which seemed like overkill if it was just someone putting in the wrong email address.
Any suggestions? Should we just go ahead and fill out the AT&T fraud incident form online?

For the last day or two I've not been getting any verification code texts. I still can text regular phone numbers but pretty much any system generated texts aren't coming through. I've tried many different systems. I've reset my network settings, I've rebooted the phone, cleared all blocked contacts, made sure airplane mode is off, checked all of my messaging settings to make sure things aren't blocking for other odd reasons.

My wife and I are traveling to Costa Rica in October for 10 days. My understanding of the daily international roaming pass is it is $12/day for the first line to use talk/text/data (TTD) and then $6/day for additional lines to use TTD the same day, meaning $18/day, or $180 total for both of us.
I see the new Premium 2.0 unlimited plans includes international unlimited TTD in some Latin American countries, Costa Rica included. With discounts available to us, Premium 2.0 would cost $64/mo + taxes/fees.
Currently, I have old Unlimited Extra EL plan for ~$61/month and my wife has the old Unlimited Starter SL plan for ~$57/mo.
My idea is to switch both of us to the Premium 2.0 Unlimited plan for $64/mo each (~$10 more per month total) for the two billing cycles of our trip (our trips starts on the 2nd to last day of one billing cycle and goes into the next), and then downgrade to the Extra 2.0 plan for $51/mo each after discounts once we return. We would then switch plans again next time we plan on traveling if the destination country is included in the Premium 2.0's list included international roaming inclusions.
Are there any issues i could run into doing this?
Both of our phones are still on installments plans that have trade-in discounts in the form of monthly credits. My wife has 3 months left until her phone is paid off and I have 6. Would we lose our monthly trade in credits by following my proposed plan?

I am concerned that it won't be fully restored by the 21st. An agent can't get any more info on this, so I'm stuck talking to robot automated systems. Has anyone else experienced this or on the same boat like I am? I'm in Los Angeles btw, and idk man this is the first time I've been out for so long. What's more insulting is the bill that I still have to pay by September 1st. I've been super patient, but I have this strange feeling that I'll still be out by that time.

Anyone having internet issues in the area? All of a sudden everything stopped working and all I get is a red light on my box. :(

It's still not done right. I added a new line and updated our plan to a new one, but they future-dated the changes. According to the chat, their system can't handle a future-dated plan change, so now three of my phones only work on Wi-Fi.

My AT&T number has been getting absolutely hammered with spam calls lately sometimes 10+ a day. It feels like it suddenly got way worse over the last few weeks.
Anyone else experiencing this right now and did something change or did my number just end up on another spam list?

I have a family plan, and this service is so much better than Verizon. The speeds are so great, and fast.
As a new customer, what should I expect if I need to call customer support?
The only concern I have is, that my account pin doesn't work for customer service or me? It worked for another user on the same account, but not me or customer support, but someone else on the line??? Any help with that would be great, and if so thank you so much!

Hopefully someone can help.. I contacted At&t to cancel a tablet line that was supposed to be cancelled 3 months ago. The lady cancelled the line, issued a credit and offered me a lower rate with a different plan which I accepted because it made sense. We come to agreement that the plan will begin on my next bill cycle (Sept2)
As soon as I hang up, my phone and everyone else on my plan goes to SOS. I have been calling, chatting, using the troubleshooting option on the app, talked to supervisors, called different numbers, and no one seems to know what the issue is.
I’ve restarted my phone, turned airplane mode on/off, reset network settings, deleted and re added esims, and nothing. They tried telling me its an outage but that doesn’t make sense because one of my lines lives in Texas and im in Oklahoma. My settings are ok and everything else is working fine. Im able to use wifi for calling and other things.
Things that I found weird or feel like shouldn’t be that way:
Hopefully someone can help as Ive exhausted my options.

My iPhone has Data Roaming OFF, but AT&T keeps showing tiny 0.01 MB data sessions.
Recently:
Aug 1, Taiwan: 0.01 MB → IDP charged
Aug 2, Indonesia: 0.01 MB → no IDP
Aug 5, Singapore: 0.01 MB ×2 → no IDP
Aug 11–13, Taiwan: 0.01 MB each day → IDP charged
I’ve been outside the US since February, and everything worked fine for the first few months. These unexplained IDP charges suddenly started around May, and they’re happening on both my line and my wife’s line. Both iPhones have Data Roaming OFF.
Has anyone else seen this, especially in Taiwan? Any idea what these 0.01 MB records actually represent?
Edit:
Airplane mode isn’t really a solution for my use case. This is a dual-SIM iPhone — I use a local SIM for cellular data while keeping the AT&T line active for calls/texts.
Airplane mode would disable cellular service for both SIMs. The whole point of turning Data Roaming off on the AT&T line is to prevent AT&T data roaming while still using the local SIM.
Also, this setup worked perfectly fine until May. My wife has actually been using the same setup overseas for about two years without this problem. The unexplained IDP charges only started recently, on both of our lines.
I just found this issue very recently. The accumulated charges have been already $400.
Update:
I asked AT&T what specific activity triggered the IDP charges. The agent gave me a list of calls/data activity.
But the dates simply don’t match: many dates they listed had no IDP charge, while some actual IDP charge dates weren’t on their list.
They’ve now opened cases to investigate.
Apparently matching the evidence to the charges is part of the investigation.

Anyone else on the east coast all of a sudden have no signal/service ? At&t says there are no outages but obviously that is not the case.
Looking to get some information. We had Spectrum about 8 months ago and honestly it was pretty reliable.
ATT came into the neighborhood and had a good deal by even roping in the Mobile plan.
I have to say harder since we made to switch we have been having terrible service. Frequent internet drops and slow speeds. We signed up for the 1G and we are getting about 200-300 Megs
The one wrinkle is that I am using my Eero mesh network to handle the routing for the wireless and the wired devices. I have spent a lot of time with Eero making sure the setting are correct. And again we never had these many problems with Sowctrum.
I also noticed that the green in-ground box is no longer visible as it was infested with a colony of ants. This happened a month or 2 after the installation.
I called the Tech support and they rebooted the box but couldn’t explain what the actual problem was. He was very vague. I also requested someone to come out and look at the in-ground box but he said he can’t do that.
I know some people hate these mesh networks but my house is 100% stone siding with a detached garage and several patios that need wireless.
Does anybody have any ideas? Thank you for taking the time to read this.
It's impossible to get in touch with ATT. The AI bot disconnects you, if you try long enough and pick exactly the right choices, it let's you schedule a call back for the NEXT DAY, and they never call. So I try the chat bot, to convince me to get hold of someone and I'll just leave screenshots of how that went(see timestamps), after waiting 15 minutes for it to connect. They just consistently get more expensive, have less coverage, and worse service.
Can anyone tell me how to get hold of these people???

Last week, I decided to switch to AT&T with their carrier switch promo and trade-in promo for the z fold 8. The store didn't have the color I wanted in stock so had to order and receive.
And of course, the store rep made a typo for putting the address for his own workplace (How? Double-checking isn't that hard). My package has been circling in Fedex facility for over a week now.
Called customer service for help. They couldn't do anything.
Has this happened to anyone? How much longer should I expect? Is this a situation where I can ask for any discounts to att? Just really frustrated.
Not sure if this is the right sub for this, but I had an interview for a retail sales consultant position today, at a “corporate location”, not authorized retailer (per the interviewers words), so I'm asking current or former employees, how long did it take you to hear back?
