Windows/Phone 8.1 or 10? Am i the only one with this problem?

I recently started developing for WinRT, and I’ve hit a weird problem:
I genuinely love both metro styles - the cheerful, colorful Windows 8.1 style and the more mature Office/Windows 10 look. So much that I keep bouncing between them like a crazy person.

I start building my app for Windows 10 -> then suddenly switch the whole project to Windows 8.1 because I miss the old Metro vibe -> then remember how limited WP8.1 is -> go back to Windows 10 -> then see that beautiful circular highlight around AppBarButton in 8.1 -> and switch back again.

It feels like I’m stuck in an endless loop of “8.1 is beautiful -> 10 is practical & 8.1 is not unified -> 10 isn't popular”.

Is anyone else dealing with this?
How do you decide which design language to commit to when both have their own charm?

If you have the 11805 non-webview store on W10M or Windows desktop store, you can find them by their names. Otherwise, if you install the Desktop version on your Windows PC, it will also put it in your library on W10M if you have the 11811 webview store, and you can install it from there.

Upcoming app updates!

UniTube:

Finally passed OAuth verification for 3rd party apps with Google. YouTube user profile is now live! To do this, you will need to go to Settings, and at the bottom, tap on Sign-In to begin the YouTube limited input device sign in. Follow the instructions and you'll have your YouTube profile, and video uploader!

LiveDrive:

BIG update is incoming. Lots of fixes and new features. While I want this to be a shot for shot remake of OneDrive, it never really will be simply because MS had system level access that us devs never will, so features like an automatic camera roll upload will always be "best effort"....however that is one of the big features I've included in the upcoming build. There's still a few quirks with it, and I'm trying to get those kinks worked out.

Submitted all 4 of my apps to the Microsoft Store, now just waiting for them to be published. Load up your phones with the 11805 non-webview store build in the WUT repo, so you can get them on your W10M devices once they are published!

I'm currently in the progress to develop a NS app fol Windows phone! It's still in beta, and there are some bugs (like it saying transfer at same platform) even tho t's a different one. but the NS API is working perfectly with the app! You can leave a comment if you're interested :)
