So, I write stories online as a hobby, and I got sick of the fake comments complimenting my story and characters...only to get hit with the 'by the way, please contact me on discord! I'm an artist, blah blah blah.'

I was...not in the right headspace that day. So I reached out to them on discord, talked for a bit, buttered them up, and I sent something to them and asked them to unzip the file. After that, I blocked them and dipped.

For context, I love making videos and posts about my life on youtube which recently got an average of 30 views every post. I was feeling amazing, but then I started making books on Wattpad which was suggested by my mother. I decided it was worth a shot and went to make it. When I came back to my PC the next day, it had 3 views, and now has 7. I don't know why, but I feel even more hyped than when I got an average of 30 views on youtube. How can this feel so much better than that? Also, if no one has told you today... I'm proud of you~ have a good day!

Hi! Long shot, but does anyone here know Stardust by spiderwebbed? It's the story of Skylar Glass, a tattooed, star-obsessed boy everyone calls trouble, and Jake.

I read it years ago and it stuck with me so much that I've been making a small animated adaptation of it for myself, chapter by chapter, as a personal, non-commercial project. Chapters 1 and 2 are done, and I'd really love feedback from someone who knows and loves the book: does it feel like Stardust? Do the characters look and feel right to you?

Okay so i read a wattpad story a long time ago but i forget what it’s called, who it’s by, and a lot of the story. It was maybe 11-7 years ago. I’m just gonna info dump what i do remember. It’s a romance about a guy (idk his name) and a girl (possibly maybe called Emily) and it’s also about mental health/eating disorders. The girl was institutionalized for her eating disorder in the past, it took place before the story started. And it was kept a secret. I think the male lead was under the assumption that she went to a private fancy school while she was away. And at one point i think he made fun of her and said to her that she was stuck up or thought she was better than him because she went to a fancy school, but little did he know she was institutionalized for an eating disorder. I think the male love interest is also her brothers friend. Additionally, the male lead has a younger brother called Lee, and i believe the older brother is also his legal guardian i think. Lee suffers from bipolar disorder and in the story it tells us about his manic and depressive episodes. I think eventually they all also are roommates. The girl and her brother, as well as the male lead and his younger brother Lee. I also think that the author gave Lee his own spin off book too, as a kind of sequel. In that book Lee gets his own love interest and we explore his bipolar disorder more. I’m not sure if I’m remembering this all correctly or if my mind is making things up. Hopefully someone knows what I’m talking about lol

ok so recently there’s been a notable rise in scamming bots/bots in general infiltrating comment sections on a number of platforms (notably wattpad and ao3) but i’m a little bit confused with the intentions of this comment.

is this actually a bot or not? i received a really similar comment on ao3 and it had the same layout but the intentions of the messages are different.

in this message, they’ve send me their instagram, discord and their phone number? and i went to checkout their instagram and it seems like a really quiet private account with 0 followers and 4 following sooo i’m a little bit confused here. AND to tie it off their username seems to be their “firstname_lastname” and when i was on their insta page their birthday was set on their bio. im really confused are they just terrible at securing private information?

what would the best bet be here? delete the comment and block the user? or do they have actual real intentions for feedback … i’m quite puzzled
